1908 Singer Model 24 Hand Crank Automatic Sewing Machine w/ Bentwood Case NR
This is a very nice hard to find Singer 24 Sewing Machine with a serial number dating it to 1908. It is in good working order with no dents or scratches. The decals and paint make this a museum quality piece. The original bentwood case has a replaced piece of trim on both sides just below the decal. While the bentwood case shows some age. It doesn't seem that the machine got much use. I sold a 1918 Singer 24 model a few months ago and this one is even nicer!

Dr. Roback’s Scandinavian Blood Pills, Bentwood Box, c. 1858, Original Contents
Very early quack medicine package for Dr. C.W. Roback’s Scandinavian Blood Pills. The pills are still sealed inside of their original bentwood oval box that is inside the original graphic outer wrapper. I can feel the oval box and hear the pills rattling inside the box when the package is gently shaken. The wrapper measures 2” x 1” x 0.75” and features a finely detailed image of a bearded man with a sword with an early sailing ship in the background. The bottom of the package states: Entered according to act of Congress in the Year 1858 by Dr. C.W. Roback in the Clerks Office of the Southern District of Ohio” The red wax seals on each end of the wrapper have dried out over time and no longer seal the wrapper but the wrapper has never been opened(folds are crisp and intact) The wrapper shows considerable darkening from age(especially along ... morethe edges) but is complete and all lettering and images are clear. The inner box is likely in excellent condition having been protected for the past 150 years by the outer wrapper. 19th Century Antique Bentwood Baby Cradle Crib
Here’s a nice Antique Bentwood cradle fresh from a local estate. I don’t have the bottom slats or mattress/pad. But I would think they should be fairly easy to replace or made. There are several spots that have been glued(where the wood lifted- mainly across the tops of the bentwood end sections) and it could use a good cleaning, as it has been in storage for many years. Also known as the bistro chair. It was designed by Michael Thonet and introduced in 1859. It is made using a unique steam-bending technology, known as bentwood, that required years to perfect. With its affordable price and simple design, it became one of the best-selling chairs ever made. Some 50 million No. 14s were sold between 1859 and 1930, and millions more have been sold since. Thonet’s No. 14 was made of six pieces of steam-bent wood, ten screws, and two nuts. EARLY ROUND BENTWOOD PANTRY BOX MEASURE WITH ENFORCED RIM
Here is a vintage bentwood pantry box that was once found in every pantry for storing and measuring dry goods. These came in different sizes to fit the items stored. This one measures 10 inches in diameter and 5 1/2 inches deep. It has a rail around the top rim that is for reinforcement for the rim and it is held in place with square nails that are bent over on the inside. It comes as found in used. But good condition with normal wear and in the original used wood patina. I try to contact buyers within an hour after the end of the sale.
