They are both sturdy I weigh 250 and they hold me no problem. Chair is 30.5 tall and 27 wide. footstool is 10.75 tall to where the cushion would sit on it.

I loved this chair mat. But very soon after I bought it, I changed decor and couldn't use it! It has about three weeks of use and does show some wear. It works really well on either carpet- low pile- or hard wood floors. The photos show the wear and how it rolls up for shipping.
