This is a magnificent pair of ornate Chinese Chippendale Brighton style arm chairs of exceptional quality and craftsmanship with both in very good condition. They are hand made and they use no screws or nails that I can see. One of the caned seats is newer than the other- both seats are in excellent condition. Each chair measures about 35 inches in height by 22 inches in width by 24.5 inches in depth with a seat bottom height from the floor of about 18 inches. Vintage faux bamboo. Chinese Chippendale bar stool chair, I believe designed by Phyllis Morris. Made of cast aluminum alloy. Measuring 36 1/2" high and 18" wide. The seat is at 22" from the floor. It has been painted flat black.over a few coats of paint.gold. Green, and lastly red. At present, it is solid flat black. The frame of the chair is in very good condition. I found one small crack in the metal at the back of the seat on one side. It is still strong and the crack seems to only be superficial. The chair pad needs to be recovered. At present it is white vinyl and has no hole or tears. There are stains on the vinyl that I was unable to clean. And the covering on the bottom looks really bad with mold stains and rusty staples. From a Baltimore estate and purchased in Washington DC in the 1960's. This wooden chair has a sherbet shade of orange finish with some whitewash and distressing which is original. Antique Bowback Chair This is a gorgeous piece of Early American furniture. This is a bow-back windsor side chair. This piece came from the home of a serious 18th century antique collector. Who had a beautiful collection of primitive furniture. The chair features bamboo-turned legs, stretchers and spindles. You can see plane marks on the bottom of the chair where it was hand carved. All of the spindles and the legs of the chair were connected using the through-tenon method. The chair measures 35 11/16" in height. The height from the floor to the top of the seat is 15 1/8" The seat measures 15 1/2" wide by 15 1/2" deep. This is in great condition overall with some small signs of age and use. The chair does have general spots of wear and surface scratches that I believe should be expected on a piece that is more than 150 ... moreyears old. There is a chip next to one of the through-tenon joints at the top of the bow. There is a spot next to this chip where a repair was done- this repair may very well have been made during production. But we do not know for certain. We believe there is a possibility that this chair was painted, stripped and re-finished at some point, but we have no way of knowing for certain. This is a very fun egg shaped vintage rattan chair with hot egg shaped port holes on either side. The chair does not come with cushions and is in very good vintage condition. The chair is tight and solid with no broken. Loose, cracked or repaired pieces. The finish has some wear and is a bit dirty and would respond well with a fresh coat of poly. The joints are all secure, one joint the banding is coming undone and a few of the other joints are showing some wear. The chair measures approximately 52" tall 38" wide and 32" deep. Or a fan back chair it is an elegant and eyecatching piece. This gorgeous chair was professionally whitewashed It is a beautiful accent piece and is in excellent vintage condition. The finish has some minor distress marks along the arm rests that add to its charm. To the best of my recollection it was purchased new from Fischers furniture San Antonio, TX in 1990 for about $350.00 It is 56.5" tall, 36" at the widest part of the fan back, and the seat cushion is 21" x 21" Storage compartment under the seat cushion. This chair was made in italy. Not sure of date. Has the made in Italy stamped on it. I believe it's made of bamboo and teak after researching online. Has a few marks on it in some spots but no major cracking or dings. The little ball on the top bar where rings and watches I believe where hung is missing and the bar is a little loose.
