The couch and chair are very comfortable and the frames are made out of what I believe is bamboo/rattan. The cushions are all in very good condition but 2 of the arm cushions on the chair are slightly faded. It is hardly noticeable. The cushions do have zippers. Welcome! This auction is for an exquisitely detailed fancy antique French bamboo child or doll chair. This chair measures approximately 23" tall. 10" from floor to seat and 11" wide. It has a beautiful natural golden patina, is constructed with bamboo pegs(no nails or glue) and is very strong and stable despite the fact that there are splits from age ~ please see the photos. I tried to squeeze the split areas to see if they would close up with pressure and the bamboo, being as hard as it is, would not budge at all. Tears or holes. The construction of this chair is well made and very sturdy. There is a couple of damage points to mention. On the neck of the guitar. One of the string knobs are loose and broken. Old Yellow Thumb Back Antique Primitive 1800's Plank Seat Chair.Bamboo Turnings
Listing this evening a nice old primitive plank seat chair in old yellow paint. From the early 1800's it has nice bamboo turnings on the legs. The chair is 33 1/2" high. The plank seat is a full 2 inches thick and has great form. The plank seat is 17 1/2" high. 15 1/4" wide and 15 3/4 deep to the back of the chair. It has splits in 3 of the back spindles and 1 side rung is completely gone(I have stuck a new spindle into one side of the chair and you may choose to use that or replace it with one of your own. It is too big and fragile to ship via post office at a reasonable cost so local pickup is the best option. I can hold the chair for a reasonable period of time should you wish to purchase it and pick it up during your travels to the New England area later on. Thank you for viewing and have a great day!

Romantic Vintage bamboo arm chair
This is a beautiful piece of Americana. I don't see any manufacturer's mark on it so I'm not sure who made it or how old it is. But I'd say it's at least from the 50's. The seat of the chair has been redone by a very good restorer, but the rest of the chair still has the original wraps and nails. Some of the wraps are worn but that's part of the beauty of the chair. The cushions are a pink and white ticking on one side and a rose print on the other- both Ralph Lauren. I bought it with a small pillow in the ticking and an ivory brocade on the back. The middle has a piece of fabric with a picture of 2 young women and the following poem: Lucy Lockett. Lucy Lockett lost her pocket, Kitty Fisher found it. For sale is a beautiful second 1940 miniature salesman sample or doll size Chinese bamboo reclining chair. This chair came from an estate home in the Hudson Valley in upstate New York. We do not know much about it other than it was in the family collection for quite some time. It appears to be Chinese to us in origin and has a paper label attached underneath with some writing. We have taken a close-up detailed picture of this label for your consideration. The chair looks to be made out of all bamboo wood. The joints are held together with metal nails or fasteners of some sort. This chair reclines up and back in a couple positions. It is an overall excellent condition and is structurally sound. I do not have a COA. I believe this is by friedrich goldscheider. Just found this incredible piece, I did a lot of research, this exact one went for $7000 on live auctioneer.They are sometimes signed on bottom. This one is not. I don't see a signature or stamp. I think his but has been repaired. But other similar unsigned ones of figures on bamboo chairs went for $4000 to $5000. This looks identical to ones online. I tried to take pics of all flaws. The leg has been repaired, and also back of leg has nick also three nicks in jacket. The rest is what I would call scratches. American Bowback Windsor Antique Side Chair w/ Bamboo Turnings c. 1800
AMERICAN BOWBACK WINDSOR SIDE CHAIR. PENNSYLVANIA Probably Philadelphia or surrounding counties. C. 1800 Item# 502RZX14 A very well preserved piece of early 19th century material culture. This fine American Bowback Windsor side chair originates from Pennsylvania during the first years of the century, probably the outskirts of Philadelphia c. 1800-10. Retaining an old crusty surface in the less exposed portions of the chair, under the legs and stretchers, beneath the seat and tucked inside the scratched beading of the crest rail, the piece remains in as nearly original of a state as is likely to survive. The shield form seat is carved out and shaped for comfort, the crest rail tenoned through the edges of the seat on either side around the long tapered spindles that drop in shallow wells in the seat, all of this surrounded by a shallow channel ... moreetched around the back of the seat. We have not had the woods microanalyzed, but the crest rail appears to be ash, the spindles ash or hickory, the seat a wonderful worn solid plank of yellow pine, the legs and stretchers turned from soft maple. The legs tenon through the seat and are affixed with a split wedge tenon. The legs are turned in a manner rather specific to Philadelphia and the outlying counties, each in a bamboo-style of turning with a double baluster turning along the medial stretcher and each leg, the side stretchers with a single swollen baluster. This form of chair is extensively documented in this region, see reference notes below. For the serious collector of American furnishings. Vintage cast metal Chinese Chippendale chair in need of restoration. This is the taller version. Measuring 36" high. The seat stands 23" from the floor. Multi coats of paint, chipping, peeling, worn. The vinyl covered seat has been partially removed and needs to be replaced. A side rung has separated from the back leg and has been crudely repaired. No other broken or missing parts.
