The woodwork and carving on this chair is in great condition, particularly considering its age. I am unsure of its exact age, but these types of chairs were made primarily between the mid to late 19th Century. The chair has a sleigh back curve at the top, and gorgeous carved details in the wood.

This authenticated antique desk and chair has hand carvings throughout the entire desk even including the back. There are 5 carved open compartments for organizing and a hidden drawer that opens the full length of the desk with 4 divided sections inside. The center disposal is the original period velvet sack with a hanging cord attached to a lovely ivory pearl stone set within a bronze circular ring with designs. A walnut wood weight is attached. Hand wood carvings include 2 beautiful ladies protruding from sides of desk and removable cupid on the top that is attached to the lid that covers the compartment where the clock sits. The clock has 3 different hand designs and incased in bronze. The face is a natural cream ivory? porcelain with black Roman numerals. The face is aged with some hairlines but the numerals are bold without any color loss. The clock has 2 front legs and a weighted bronze pendulum that you can view from the photo. It does move side to side and I hear ticking but is in need of adjusting. The clock is original and fits perfect to view from a circular opening made for it within the desk. This all original desk is in very good condition without repairs. It is hard to believe there are only two tips missing from the delicate finials. Located on left side underneath the desk and on the right side bottom between the legs. You will need to really search in the pictures because they are very hard to find. It is very rare to find a set. How fortunate to have this elaborate matching chair with velvet padded seat in such wonderful condition. The carvings are amazing and please view the lion and the Fiorentino symbol on the back of the chair. In my 30 years of experience I have never seen a desk set like this. This molded fiberglass shell rocker is referred to as Lemon Yellow(LY) The base of the rocker is the zinc tower design with birch rockers. It has vibrant color and outstanding fiber patterns. It has the coin shaped mold release imprint inside the bucket seat. Its my understanding that this can only be found on the 1949. First production of Zenith produced chair shells. The zinc rod base shows signs of oxidation. One rod shows a slight bend and a possible reweld. The hardware is all original and intact. The'checkerboard' HM manufactures label is intact and in ... moregreat condition. The birch runners show use as well. There is a one inch crack in the bend of the right arm. There are also a couple of transfer scuffs that could be removed but I will leave that to you. Please see photos for a better idea of condition. Its still a terrific rocker that will make a great addition to any collection of mid century design. Note* The chair measures 27" tall to the top of the backrest. 25" wide and 16" to the seat height. This is a beautiful arm chair is in superb condition given that has been in my family for about 140 years. The needlework was done by my great. Great aunt in the 1870's. She gave the chair to my Grandfather as a wedding present in 1900. The chair is American Victorian in the Renaissance sub-style. Having a black walnut frame with carved and reticulated crest, attached pad back, seat, and open arms with carved trim. The legs are reeded with peg feet and casters. NOTE: Due to its size. 39"H, 23"W, 21"D, it is available for local pickup only. There are two minor, pulls in the needlework, as shown in the photos, that are repairable. The woodwork is nearly flawless.

Your bid is for this fantastic Mid Century Modern Fiberglass Arm Chair on a Swivel Propeller Style Base. It is a butterscotch/ochre color with an upholstered seat bottom in a similar tweed pattern color. It measures approximately 30.5" to the top. With a seat height of 17.5" is 25" across the front arms, 21.5" inside and is 22" deep. It is in very good cosmetic and working condition for its age, with only a couple of small blemishes to the shell shown in close-ups. The swivel base is sturdy and the chrome is good except for one small 1/4" rust spot, also shown in a close-up. Not sure who the maker is and I cannot find any definitive marking that would identify the manufacturer. There is an ink stamped number 12899 under a piece of tape on the bottom of the shell, which might help in attribution. It is of very ... moregood quality and rivals anything on the eBay. Very heavy and cool mid century/ industrial stainless steel armchair. Original green seat covers. I believe it is vinyl. This auction is for one chair only. I do have 12 available. All are in great condition. The one pictured has a small area of damage to the chair back as seen in the last photo. There is one other chair that has a very small spot of damage(about a 1" split on the side of a seat cushion) Other than that. The green vinyl is damage free. All frames are super heavy duty and in terrific condition(a light cleaning may be needed) Each chair has a double stack of wooden arm rests. There is some chipping and pieces missing from primarily the corners of the wood. This is not fresh damage, the rough edges are worn smooth with time and use. This is a pale-blue large arm chair with eagle heads that look like they are hand carved into the front most portion of the armrests and also into the top portion of the front legs. I am not completely sure of this chairs age or manufacturer. But it appears to be of rather superior quality and it is quite heavy. There is no manufacturer stamp as far as I can tell.
