Father-and-son furniture manufacturers in Austria in the late 19th ... moreand early 20th century. The chair is approx. 28 3/4" high. 28 3/4" from front to back of the rocker and about 16 1/2" wide in the front. Two of the Kohn labels appear on the chair bottom(see photos) There is also another label but it looks as if it was handwritten and it is no longer legible. I do not know what kind of wood it is made from. The chair has two big problems. The biggest is that the left front leg has broken at the base. By the rocker. There was a screw holding it together here but it has come apart. The other problem is that the curved support underneath the back of the chair has cracked. So far it is still holding together. I don't know if these are"fatal" flaws– I am hoping someone with knowledge could repair these defects and have a beautiful chair. Otherwise. The chair is in good condition. The finish has some scrapes and scratches. Maybe a candidate for refinishing? The upholstery is in very good shape– just some slight fraying on the seat. I don't know if it is original or not. I am not sure exactly how old the chair is. The Kohns formed their partnership in 1867 but I am not sure how long the company lasted. I found references to their pieces from as late as the 1920s. I have the chair marked as"pickup only" because I am afraid in its current state it would not survive shipping. I have many other antique and vintage items listed on eBay as well. These rarely come up for sale and the last one on ebay was about 4 months ago and ended with a"reserve not met" at $1221. There are a few currently listed in the $2000-4000 range elsewhere. Unfortunately. Our new house doesn't have the space for it! This one is in very good vintage condition and has been reupholstered at some point in the past. The upholstery is in perfect condition with no tears/pulls/stains/smells and I'm pretty sure it's an expensive WOOL fabric. It features a geometric pattern in blue and yellow(the color mix makes it look greenish from a bit further back) The foam is still very soft which leads me to believe it was replaced when the chair was reupholstered. There are a few minor scuffs on the walnut base but they're barely noticeable. I don't think they're worth sanding/re-polying. The back measures 31 inches high from the ground. Seat width is 24 inches(28 inches outside of arms total) The depth of the chair is ~33 inches. While the rocker base measures 32 inches deep. The height to the top of the armrests measure 24 inches. Local pickup is preferred. But I can work with your shipping company of choice to get this to you. I know a lot of people use TSC Moving to ship furniture safely( Because of the value. Antique German Hanau Solid Silver Dolls House Miniature Rocking Chair by Friedrich Reusswig cir 1910 This Antique Dolls House Miniature Chair measures approximately 1 1/8 inches or 29 mm across the width of the seat from one side to the other by just over 1 3/4 inches or 45 mm across the length of its rockers from back to front and it stand 2 inches or 51 mm tall to the top of the chair back. The chair is made from solid silver in the delightful form of a 17th century European rocking chair and it stands on two rockers that have raised relief scrolled foliate decorated leg supports. It has a square seat with a straight back that has a roll top with relief floral motif decorated scroll ends and the seat along with the back have been delightfully embossed or raised relief and engrave decorated as photographed below, the rocking chair has Not ... morebeen engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram and although we have found no silver marks as such the chair has been tested and it is guaranteed as being made from solid silver however the lower back rail has been impressed with the German Hanau silversmith or makers marks of Friedrich Reusswig whose marks are recorded as being used from 1903- 1926 again as photographed below, I estimate that this dolls house miniature rocking chair was made circa 1910. The condition is used and near Mint for its age. The rocking chair has No Dents. No Splits, No Cracks, No Holes and No Repairs that I can find, the chair stands upright, the decoration and definition is very crisp, the impressed makers marks are still legible although as the rocking chair is a used antique it does have the obvious signs that it was hand made and it has some extremely minor surface marks and wear from use, it has the patina of age that is to be expected and a good clean would enhance it greatly. Personally I think that this antique miniature rocking chair would make a superb addition to any dolls house or cabinet collection and that it looks fantastic considering it's at least 100 or so year

Glascock’s Combined Baby Jumper& Rocking Chair. This Baby Jumper/ Rocking Chair was made by the Glascock Brothers manufacturing company in Muncie. Indiana. I don’t know when this was made but I found some old ads that were from 1899 to 1906 so I think this is very old. There are some damaged parts on this Baby Jumper/ Rocking Chair. One of the vertical wood stand poles was broken and glued back together. The rocking chair has a crack in one of the wood pieces were it connects to the bottom rocker rail. The chair is also damaged were it connects to the top pole. There are some pictures of this damage. This is missing a wing nut for the adjustable backrest. This is also missing 2 springs. The backrest and footrest are connected and move together and work well. This may have been refinished at some time because the finish looks too good ... morefor being about 113 years old. Beautiful Antique Oak Child's Rocking Chair
Listed is a beautiful Antique Children's Rocking chair. This chair is made very well and it is still solid. Made out of oak. Has a cloth cushion. I am unsure of the exact age of this item. The screws used on the chair are look pretty old. Dimensions: Seat Height 14" Total Height 32" Total Length-30" Seat is 15" deep and 16" Wide. Chair Seat back height is 20-1/2" Tall. The condition is very good. There are some small dings and scratches from age and use. A couple of the seat cushion holders at the back of the chair are loose and are unable to be tightened. The cushion is very stable and tight. Cushion material is in pretty good condition for its age. This would be a very nice piece to add to a collection.

Antique Cane Back Cloth Seat Rocking Chair
Very interesting old rocking chair. The octagon pattern woven back is in great shape and the cloth seat really gives it character. It appears to be made of cherry wood but I can't be 100% sure but a beautiful dark wood regardless. Pressed into the top is a beautiful rose and leaf pattern. The cloth seat is in good condition and held in place by a pretty ribbon material that is also in good shape. The seats on the chairs are stuffed and typically have some shifting or rolling of the padding but this one is well rounded and has held its original shape. Some of the thin material on the bottom has come loose but could easily be tacked into place. There is some splintering on the bottom of the front edge of the seat but not enough to compromise the integrity of the seat. A beautiful addition to a country decor. Charles Eastlake furniture was the brainchild of Charles Eastlake(1836-1906) A British furniture designer and architect. Eastlake style' as it is referred, is the common name for his style of furniture, which became widespread throughout the last half of the nineteenth century. This is an absolutely gorgeous platform rocker! Made of oak it also has burl oak inserts incorporated into the top of the back. The cloth seat and back are a tapestry style gold, green and pink oval design that really captures the era in which it was made. The seat and seat back have no balling of the cushions which you normally see on furniture of this age. The carvings on the back, arms, support and platform are exquisite. this is an extremely rare antique handmade Collignon's 1869 salesman sample contractable rocking chair. it was made to be small enough for the salesman to carry around to make sales pitches rather than lugging around a much larger sized piece. this way the buyer would get a 3 dimensional look at what they would be purchasing and how it would work. the reason they didnt do it for all rocking chairs and did it for this one is it had a rare attribute and would move on rivets and collapse for storage. it is beautifully made with a wonderful cut out hole design on the top of the seat with a brass riveted trim. looks to be made from an oak with a dark stain and nice patina. it is a very innovative design the way it collapses and sets up. it rotated on hand hammered steel rivets which also have a great patina and have a nice look. marked on ... morethe bottom" Collignon's patent November 16th 1869" the piece is all there but has ware from age. some cracks on several parts that can be seen when looking closely. Antique oak rocking chair in very good condition. Owner said was made late 1890s-1910 era. Pictures show DESIGN of the carved back. The open arms with three(3) spindles tapered top to bottom, back having seven(7) spindles, rounded roll of seat front. Overall shows little wear except back end of rocker tips have some scruffing. MEASURES: 38.5-inches high, 32-inch rockers front-back, rocker width tapers from 22.5-inches in front to 19.5-inches at the back ends. Purchased at a yard sale"because I liked it" but rockers are too long to fit comfortably in our small space for it. The original owner brought it to Arizona from the northeastern United States. This is a beautiful antique hand carved oak platform rocker that has been totally restored. The wood was finished in a satin clear and it has brand new upholstery with all new padding. The fabric is blue cotton velvet with a rose floral pattern. It is a very comfortable chair, and very tight and solid. Most chairs from this period were small and narrow. Not this one. The seat is extra wide, and I padded up the seat to make it sit at normal height for the average modern person. All of the carving is perfect. There are no breaks, repairs, or damage anywhere.just the normal dings here and there and natural aging as with any antique furniture.
