Set of Eight Antique Oak Farmhouse Dining Chairs
My mother bought these dining room chairs at an estate sale in CT 40+ years ago. They're much older than that. But I've no documentation regarding their provenance. They were regularly used until last year; they need work. If I were keeping them, I'd have them refinished, have the rush seats replaced, and replace the metal thingies that go on the bottom of each leg.

We have brought the chairs into the shop to make sure that they are all tight and sturdy. They chairs have quarter sawn oak. Straight grain oak, elm and maple on the cross spindles. They are finished in a medium oak that brings out the wonderful deep press on the design back. There are seven multi turn extra long spindles that give you a comfortable seat with a big bold rolled arm in solid oak that i s supported with 3 spindles and a large post. The scooped out seat provides ample comfort. It has multi turn cross stretcher triple cross stretchers for added strength and sturdiness. 20.5 inches wide. 17 inches deep, 44.5 inches high to the back, 29.5 inches high to the arms and 18.5 inches high to the seat. Oak table and chairs. This table is 5 feet long when the leafs are not extended and 9 feets when they are. There are 4 leafs each 1 foot in diameter. The is a crack on the top of the table that was there when I bought it. Everything to my knowledge is original except the seat pad. This is a beautiful table especially foir a large family gathering. Here is a really great set of 19th century heavily carved solid oak chairs with original cane seats and pegged construction. The barley twists are fantastic and there is a lot of it.along the backs of the chairs as well as the front and rear legs and stretchers. The carved crowns of each chair is a little different and they all have the same design of bellflowers. Shells, C-scrolls, foliage and other floral touches. This is all carved thick oak and is shown from the front and the back. The seat edges are all very interesting carved. Almost a gadrooned look, to the side and front edges of each chair. Height to the top = 40 3/8" Height to top of seat = 18 1/2" Width at widest = 18 1/4" Depth at deepest = 15" I do have other photos if there is something that I didn't show that you would like to see. Yes. They need to ... morebe re-caned or sometimes a decision is made to upholster the chairs vs having them re-caned. Offered here these 4 victorian circa 1860-1880s Quartersawn oak chairs with very unusual northwind faces. I never have seen any with open mouths that double as handles. I took some of these pictures with flash and some outside in sunlight but chairs are really really dark and I believe have their original finish as well as their seats. All four chairs are super sturdy and there are a few light scuffs but nothing major. there are a couple of super tight age cracks on the back of one of the chairs that you wouldn't even notice unless you were inches away and looking for them. the captains chairs are 44" tall and 24' wide. The other 2 are 42 1/2" tall and 18" wide. they all have working wooden rollers on front legs that can be removed one wooden roller is gone from one chair but metal fixture for it is still there. I am selling my beautiful. Newly restored 1920's wicker dining set. I am told that a pedestal wicker table with an oak top, of this age and condition is very rare. The set comes with a table with oak top and extension, and four chairs. All in excellent condition. The chairs each have a few places where the caning is broken but it does not affect their function at all.all of them are incredibly sturdy. Under the table is an old fashion electrical outlet, for plugging in a lamp. I left it there, to keep it authentic but it can easily be removed. The only reason I am selling this is that it will not fit into our new house. This set would look perfect on a porch, deck or in a sun room.

But am not 100% sure. each chair has a murphy id tag and a number tag on the back of the chairs. one is numbered 590, the other is numbered 587. these are early 1900's chairs so there is some wear on them(pictured) but they are in overall good condition. this came from a high end estate and looks like they chairs were cared for. you can pick them up in Litchfield park, Az or I am willing to ship them as well. shipping charge is a bit high due to the measurements of the chair. its roughly 24 wide, 25 deep, 36 tall.

Offered is one antique 54" round tiger oak dining table with Griffin ball and claw feet and 6 tiger oak dining chairs with paw feet. This is a magnificent set that has been in our family for a while but we are now redecorating. The set has a very nice warm and inviting patina from decades of loving use. Look at the massive. Hand carved talon feet on the table! The detail is second to none and I included a picture of the feet against my hands(I'm 6'3 with very large fists) The table has some nicks, scrapes, bumps, and missing veneer but is in overall excellent condition. The underside of the table has been secured with wood to ensure rigidity. You can convert the table back to being able to expand easily. No leaves are included and the additional rail and pedestal extension are not included. The chairs are not original to the ... moretable but go well with the table. All chairs have caned seating and 4 of the 6 are functional. 2 chairs will need the caning replaced. Notice that the chairs are in excellent shape and are all sturdy but do have some nicks and bumps with one of the chairs with the broken caning having damage on the backside as pictured. YOU ARE BIDDING ON A BEAUTIFUL SOLID OAK PEDESTAL TABLE 54" ROUND. THIS TABLE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AND THE FINISH ON IT IS GOOD. I DO NOT HAVE A LEAF FOR IT BUT I UNDERSTAND THEY ARE NOT DIFFICULT TO FIND. IT IS STURDY AND HEAVY. THERE ARE A FEW SMALL NICKS ON THE EDGE OF THE TOP BUT HARDLY NOTICEABLE.
