The tabletop finish is worn in places and the finish has faded to a lighter shade than the leaf. The table and chairs are very solid and sturdy and the overall condition is very good. I do not know the maker or exact date this set was made. This set is antique and will not be perfect. The table measures 30 3/8 inches tall, 40 inches side to side and 60 ¼ inches front to back without the leaf and 72 ¼ inches front to back with the leaf. It weighs 93 pounds. The leaf measures 7/8 inches thick, 40 inches side to side and 12 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 8 pounds. Antique Ebony and Wood Dining/Breakfast Table and Chairs
Bought at Christie's Auction approx 8 years ago. The table has an oval top with central ebony reserve and radially veneered with rosewood. Mahogany and other exotic fruitwood. It sits above 4 fluted columnar uprights on a base supported by 4 splayed legs with brass lion paw caps and casters. The table measures 31 inches high, 59 inches wide and 41 3/4 in deep. The 4 chairs were purchased separately. They have a mahogany frame are upholstered with a light tan soft seagrass fabric. The upholstery is finished with brass bolts. Chair measures 38" from floor to top of back height, 19.5 in from floor to top of seat, 21" depth of seat and 21.5" across seat.

This dining room set was my grandmothers. She purchased it in the mid 1940's before I was born. The furniture has been in storage since she passed away in 2004. My taste in furniture is more rustic so I have no use for this furniture and I'm sure she would want me to find someone who would love it as much as she did. The furniture was refinished in 2008 but due to being moved it has sustained a few scratched and nicks. Nothing that cannot easily be repaired. The table is 38" x 72" with the leaf. The leaf is 16" There are some small scratches and a nick on the chairs. The rose fabric was put on over the original green and beige striped fabric. The seat cushion fabric is easily and inexpensively changed. The china hutch is 38" wide and 69" tall it has a small bit of damage to the lower edge. This is a wonderful set of eight matching solid mahogany dining chairs that are made by the White Furniture Company out of Mebane. North ... moreCarolina, and I believe they date from the 1950s or‘60s. They’re nice solid-made chairs, all solid mahogany, including the fancy cutout center splat. Each detailed chair has a most unusual tapered four-sided angled mahogany cross-stretcher. The chairs are country Chippendale, with a country Chippendale front leg, flared back leg, solid mahogany center splat, carved knuckles on the arm chairs, and the entire set consists of two arm chairs and six sides. The seats are frayed, and I’m assuming they should be replaced. They are usable, but are very easily recovered, as they are slip-on seats. They have a dark reddish-brown finish, and the overall condition is good and sturdy. You can see where one chair was repaired at one time, and it looks like a really good job, but we’ll check it all over. There is also some finish worn off on one of the master chair arms, which we will detail out before shipping. Duncan Phyfe style antique drop-leaf dining table and 4 chairs set
For consideration is a solid mahogany antique drop-leaf dining room set in the Duncan Phyfe style. Has 2 pedestals and four chairs. The table has the original Watertown slide mechanism. And was made by Extensole out of Sparta, Michigan. Entirely original, including the brass claw cap feet on pedestals. There are two leaves for this table, making it a 77 inch by 40 inch at its largest(w/the leaves) and 24 x 40 when the leaves are out and sides are dropped. 53 inches with just the 2 sides up. I have easily had 8 place settings when the leaves are in. The four chairs are also solid mahogany. And the pads have a red and green herringbone fabric on them, but they could be popped out and updated with whatever fabric is more appealing to you. Antique Dining Room Table and Chairs - French Art Deco
FABULOUS DINING ROOM TABLE AND CHAIRS BEAUTIFUL ART DECO DINING FURNITURE FROM FRANCE CIRCA 1930s The rectangular table extends out on either end by leaves built into the table When leaves are not in use the table measures 39" x 51" and is 29" tall With both leaves fully extended the table measures 91" x 39" Each leaf is 20" in length. The main table top is free from scratches or damages. The table legs and base are also free of damages. The extensions have some surface scratches that do no detract from the appearance of the table when fully extended. There is a deep scratch on one of the leaves which I have shown in one of the photos. It is located near an edge and is not readily apparent. Six oak chairs with solid pressed and scalloped backs are also included. The backs consist of three layers of pressed and ... moremolded oak and are 1/2" thick. They measure 20" x 14" and the seats are cushioned with padding covered with naugahyde and measure 18" x 16" The chairs are also in very good condition. There is a small nick on one chair back that is not readily detectable and one of the cushions was nicked by something sharp prior to when I bought the set. They can easily be recovered if you would prefer a different look. I believe that with furniture such as dining sets. The scrapes and scratches acquired over the years lends character to the piece. I purchased the set in the exact same condition it is in today. I have owned the set for about 7 years. But for most of that time it was rarely used. These chairs look like they would go good in a 1960's decore Overall this set ain't bad. Although there is some damage, most of it could be fixable. First off, you will notice in one of the images that there is damage to the feet of the chairs. Most of the legs on these chairs have missing plastic feet. Next you'll see that there is some puncturing and breaks in the vinal cushions, each cushion image is taken from a different chair, so expect at least two chairs to have bottom cushions in need of patching up, but you were going ... moreto reapolster them anyway. The last really significant negative can been seen in the 11th image. This cushion actually comes off one chairs and it's not supposed to. Upon closer inspection. It looks like the tabs securing the bottom of the cushion to the chair have broken, so that need a repair too. Aside from what was mentioned above, just be aware of the usuall age wear, along with light rust and some general dirt. Such wear can been seen in our pictures of this item. You can also see from the pictures that. You're getting in on a good set. Take this discovery one step further and click that bid button.
