Icanthus leaves and other carvings including column front legs ... moreand rush bottom seats, imported through Edinburgh, Scotland and in a Henry II style, these most probably were manufactured there in Scotland or perhaps England in the early to mid-twentieth century. I have noted in my description of condition above that one of the rush bottom seats on this set is broken through, and simply replaced at present with a wood board underneath the seat cushion. I have taken this into account and am selling these chairs"as is" for a great price for someone looking to invest a little love into bringing them back to their full glory by replacing the seat(s) These side dining chairs stand 37 1/2 inches tall and measure 17 1/2 inches wide by 17 inches front to back. The seat height is 18 inches and the seats themselves are 17 1/2 inches wide tapering to 14 inches wide across the back and 15 inches deep. Front to back. I show in my final two photo's that I have a second very similiar set of chairs that could be used together for someone looking for 12 dining chairs. In the first of those I show one of each style and in the second photo. The group of 12 together. Up for is a beautiful Jacobean oak dining room table. 6 chairs, and a buffet. There are 5 chairs and 1 arm chair. The table has leaves at each end that slide out from under the top. The whole set was refinished at some point and the chairs professionally recovered. There are some small issues with the table top. there is a dark stained area and small area in a corner where the veneer delaminated prior to the refinishing. Oak table and chairs. This table is 5 feet long when the leafs are not extended and 9 feets when they are. There are 4 leafs each 1 foot in diameter. The is a crack on the top of the table that was there when I bought it. Everything to my knowledge is original except the seat pad. This is a beautiful table especially foir a large family gathering. I cannot ship this or pack the table. If you want it shipped you must either do it yourself. Hire someone to pack it up and ships or pick up from a local mover company to have it delievered to you. Here is a really great set of 19th century heavily carved solid oak chairs with original cane seats and pegged construction. The barley twists are fantastic and there is a lot of it.along the backs of the chairs as well as the front and rear legs and stretchers. The carved crowns of each chair is a little different and they all have the same design of bellflowers. Shells, C-scrolls, foliage and other floral touches. This is all carved thick oak and is shown from the front and the back. The seat edges are all very interesting carved. Almost a gadrooned look, to the side and front edges of each chair. Height to the top = 40 3/8" Height to top of seat = 18 1/2" Width at widest = 18 1/4" Depth at deepest = 15" I do have other photos if there is something that I didn't show that you would like to see. This table has been in our family for at least 150 years. But possibly more. Provenance shows that we can easily trace it back 150 years, but table and chairs are mostly likely more than 200 years old. In the last 100 years it was used as a summer house dining table, then my mother used in my childhood home. It was since given to me and has been used as decoration. Absolutely gorgeous antique inlaid dining table and chairs good condition
Absolutely gorgeous antique inlaid dining table and chairs. There are four side chairs and two arm chairs. Custom nailhead upholstery on chairs with designer fabric. Set was purchased at an antique store in Camden. SC in 2000 for $5,500. Top of the table has a few places where the inlaid has come up a tiny bit, obvious wear to a table so old. It only adds to its character but could be easily repaired if so desired. The upholstery on the chairs could use a steam cleaning and under the table one of the sliders has come unattached as seen in the picture. Again, easily repaired. I'm not sure as to the exact age and/or maker but when it was bought we were told very early 1900's. Please feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer them! Thanks for looking!

Stunning set of six Chippendale ladder back chairs with a custom-made mahogany pedestal dining table. Included in the chair set are two arm or"captain's" chairs and four side chairs. Each chair had four elegant curved and pierced slats with a ribbon like shape. The front legs are straight and fluted and are connected to the back legs with a classic H stretcher. These chairs are believed to date from the late 18th century. The chairs are being sold as a set with a later pedestal dining table. Custom made to go with them. This rectangular table has tripod legs with capped paw feet in the federal or regency style of the early 1800's. The table top has a border around the top, beautifully applied in contrasting woods. Beautiful burled walnut draw-leaf table beautifully carved with 6 recovered chairs in blue mohair. Dining table is 58" long and 39" wide with two leaves. 24" each under the table top, so the table is almost 10' long when fully extended. The leaves are not finished in burled walnut, but plain walnut. The six chairs were recovered in 2008 with royal blue mohair, very expensive and wears like iron. I am selling my beautiful. Newly restored 1920's wicker dining set. I am told that a pedestal wicker table with an oak top, of this age and condition is very rare. The set comes with a table with oak top and extension, and four chairs. All in excellent condition. The chairs each have a few places where the caning is broken but it does not affect their function at all.all of them are incredibly sturdy. Under the table is an old fashion electrical outlet, for plugging in a lamp. I left it there, to keep it authentic but it can easily be removed. The only reason I am selling this is that it will not fit into our new house. This set would look perfect on a porch, deck or in a sun room.

For sale is this lovely pair of side chairs from a very old VA estate. I do not know when they were made or by whom. I believe they are Walnut but I do not know for sure. The frame of these chairs is carved and very ornate. It has flowers and roses carved into it and the back cushion is not the standard round or square but rather a unique shape. They are currently upholstered in a gold and blue striped fabric that I believe is the original fabric. The upholstery is in need of repair(see photos) One chair has a repair in the upper right corner(see photos) Dimensions of chairs are as follows: 37 inches high from floor to the top of chair; seat height is 17 1/2 inches; 18 inches deep; and 18 inches wide. We have taken this set that came out of a house here on the east coast. They were around the table and had been there for years and we thought that they were a 100% matching set. However when we started to hand strip them. We started to notice little differences but if I didn’t say anything you would never notice. The flare of the back, the cut out splats, the front legs, the cross stretchers are all the same. The molding on the shield itself on some of the chairs have one little extra line in them, which you would never notice if I didn’t tell you to look. It appears like four of the chairs do not have the extra line. The chairs have been completely stripped, meticulously glued, hand sanded, hand stained and multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer have been applied and hand rubbed. For the seats, we picked out a gorgeous and expensive fabric to reupholster the chairs. We finaled the chairs with, I believe, five coats of satin sheen lacquer, so they are definitely good for the life time that you have them and even the next generation more than likely. Offered is one antique 54" round tiger oak dining table with Griffin ball and claw feet and 6 tiger oak dining chairs with paw feet. This is a magnificent set that has been in our family for a while but we are now redecorating. The set has a very nice warm and inviting patina from decades of loving use. Look at the massive. Hand carved talon feet on the table! The detail is second to none and I included a picture of the feet against my hands(I'm 6'3 with very large fists) The table has some nicks, scrapes, bumps, and missing veneer but is in overall excellent condition. The underside of the table has been secured with wood to ensure rigidity. You can convert the table back to being able to expand easily. No leaves are included and the additional rail and pedestal extension are not included. The chairs are not original to the ... moretable but go well with the table. All chairs have caned seating and 4 of the 6 are functional. 2 chairs will need the caning replaced. The set is in great condition for its age! It is an antique and over 60 years old! The table also comes with pads as you can see in one of the pictures. As well as 3 table clothes. Blue(pictured) Red and gold. The table dimensions are 5 feet and 2 inches by 3 feet and 6 inches. There is one chair with arms as pictured and 4 without as shown in pictures.
