Large Antique MODEL Scale Child's WIRE Framed School DESK and CHAIR
This auction is for a very unique and fascinating model scale display piece of an antique child's school desk and seat. It comes designed in black metal wire framed body where the desk and the chair are attached together. The desk and the chair are constructed from wood. It appears to be of pine. The total measurement of the display is approximately 10 3/4" tall x 15" long x 8 1/2" wide. The slanted desk measures about 8 1/4" x 83/4" w. The display is quite sturdy. I am not sure how old this piece is but it is in good condition with few flaws and dings. Antique 9" Cast Iron Pedestal Table Base w/ Original Wood School Desk Chair

This is the smallest chair we have ever come across. And the cast iron pedestal base is perfectly level and flat- no tilt at all. I have taken pictures with the seat still attached with the 4 screws to the pedestal base and I also took pictures after we removed the wooden seat. We are going to ship the chair with the seat NOT ATTACHED. We are including the original mounting screws so attaching the base to the seat again will be easy– only a flat tip ... morescrewdriver needed. The chair stands 21 ½” tall when the seat is attached. The wooden chair by itself is 13 ¼” tall at the back and the seat is 10 ½” x 11” x 1 ¼” The wood is in very good condition with minor signs of wear and scuff marks and scratches on the top surfaces. The bottom of the seat has a few cracks in the wood and a very old small chunk of wood that came out– all if which has occurred over the years– please look at the pictures to get a better idea of these minor flaws. The cast iron pedestal base(by itself) weighs 5lbs. Stands 9” tall, measures 7 3/8” across the round bottom, 8 ¼” across the top, and the center post is about 2 ¼” wide. Both the top and bottom surfaces have 4 holes for mounting screws. The pedestal base has the original black paint, most of which still in place. There is one minor flaw on this piece– a small hole in the cast iron that measures ¼” x 3/8” this hold occurred during the manufacturing process and in no way at effects the structural integrity or strength of the base. For sale is an adjustable oak desk chair that swivels. The hardware is from the early 1900's. Not sure on the exact year but on the base it is marked Pat Nov 30 1897. The base is also marked Cook Quality. I have not been able find one quite like this one. It is rustic yet shows very good. Solid craftsmanship. The style would make a nice addition to any style of office or home. Hardware is quite interesting and in good shape. There is a sticker on the underside of the seat showing a bell and on the bell is Local, Long Distance, Telephone. The sticker is also marked 2754. There is also on the bottom a round brass plate marked C 754. The wood is solid. Chair is very solid and usable. It apears that one of the adjustment knobs on the back has been lost and replaced with a bolt. And I have never seen another one like it. I don't know the age of either piece, but both pieces are original and I suspect the chair may be an antique. New York City. The desk can easily be disassembled for handling and shipping. The cubbyhole is quite extensive, with oak drawer knobs, and brass name plates. The quartersawn oak roll is in working order and retains the brass escutcheon, the removed lock present but needing a locksmith to add the key. The desk is raised paneled all around, the case drawer front pulls carved. The drawers retains most of their dividers. The desk measures 4'2" 50" tall by 5'5" 65" wide by 3'2" 38" deep. Victorian Antique Carved Mahogany Side Desk Chair, Roses, Pink
I believe this is an older Carlton McLendon Victorian reproduction piece. But I do not have a label. The mahogany carving is particularly well done compared to newer reproductions. I had the chair re-holstered years ago, but it was used very little, so it's in great shape. Fabric is a vintage design in dusty pink. Very classic looking. A minor issue is that the fabric was set slightly too low at the top of the back(front) which exposed a sliver of less finished wood. This is not a use issue or general appearance issue. Antique Oriental Asian Teak and Rosewood Heavily Carved Knee-Hole Desk w/Chair
This is an antique Asian knee-hole desk with chair is made of Teak and Rosewood. This was purchased at a container auction and I wanted the other pieces plus I have no where to display this desk. The carvings are around the entire desk(except back which sits against the wall) and several dimensions deep. Carvings are on each end. Front, top(comes with protective glass top) and inside knee-hole area. I am guessing the trim was broken off during shipment as it was shipped with the glass still on the top. A local antique dealer suggested it was made around the 1940's. There are a few chips and nicks that I believe happened during shipment from other pieces rubbing against it. It appears the back of the desk was repaired at one time and they did a poor job matching the desk but it does sit against the wall. I was shocked to find this was ... moreshipped from Asia without any protective wrappings on the furniture and surprised to find it in such great shape. This is an original wooden desk chair made by Milwaukee Chair Company in the 1800's. The chair has a wooden hard wood shaft that slides down in to the cylinder of the four leg platform that houses the wooden wheels. The chair is hard wood oak. It was made before they built the spring under the chair that allowed it to rock backward. Instead the wooden shaft holds the chair upright with little movement back and forth. This chair is sturdy and in good condition. It is over 100 years old. This is a great museum piece. The Milwaukee Chair Company was well know for building sturdy chairs for commercial use in hotels. Antique 1888 Oak Chair Frame Base Tilts/Swivels/Rolls/Height Adjusts Office/Desk
Patent dates of 1887 and 1888. 2 of the rollers don't exactly match. they are the same diameter but not quite as wide. They all swivel and rolls good but you'll want to oil them a little before you reinsert them into the frame. Working height of about 15" to 20" before it starts to get a little wobbly. Base is 19 1/2" across the closest points-26 3/4" diameter. The part that you bolt your chair to is 17 1/2" long by 8" wide. Bolt holes are 16 1/16" x 6 3/4" center to center. You can bolt pretty much any chair you want to to it. If yours have legs you can remove them. You'll want a fairly thick bottom chair and if yours is thin you'll want to reinforce it with a thicker piece of wood then screw it fast to this frame. Several minor drying cracks that go nowhere. Up for sale are a pair of Heywood Eclipse wooden school desk chairs with adjustable metal bases. On the base is the Manufacturer name and the#3. I believe these date to 1890 time frame. They have been in my family since I was a child and at one time we had the desks to them that we used at home as kids. One chair is in better shape than the other but both are very solid with no major issues. One of the chairs does have some separation in the glue joints although nothing is loose. For auction is this small antique child's desk and chair. It has adjustable Heywood Eclipse Industrial legs. The chair with curved sides and spindles sits on a round base and is adjustable as well. It will look great in any living area. It needs very little space. The top measures 21 x 13" It has a cubby for supplies and a hole on top for an inkwell or cup. When pushed in. It protrudes only 16" from the wall. This chair is in unrestored condition which I personally prefer but it will look great restored also. It is all original with the exception of two of the 8 flat head screws that fasten the legs to the top. They have been replaced with two of the same size and type screws only newer. It is surprisingly a very sturdy desk and chair given its age. The base and legs are rusty and I have not tried to clean them. The legs and ... morebase all have holes so they can be fastened to a base or floor if desired. It is 21 inches tall at the moment. I have not tried adjusting the legs.
