The base is 48" wide x 23" deep x 38" tall. It has 9 drawers with black Masonite bottoms with wood handles. 4 drawers 11 x 6 1/2w. Inside 9 x 5 1/2 x 17 deep. 4 drawers 22 x 6 1/4. Inside 20 x 5 1/2 x 17 deep. 1 drawer 44 x 8 1/2. Inside 42 1/ x 6 x 17 deep. Upper section has two doors each with 4 panes. See our other auctions for other fine examples of diminutive furniture from this collection. This is a curious little item. A fully functioning wooden cupboard. But one that would be best suited to individuals about two feet in height. Perhaps it was built to entertain dolls or children, but the item was culled from a collection of'salesman's samples' scale models, trotted out by traveling salespersons of a bygone era) used to demonstrate to potential customers what furnishings are available for order. Note the carefully hand-cut dovetailed and mitered joints, wide board back and other construction details true to the bench-made techniques of the era. Whoever made this piece took a great deal ... moreof pride in his work: note the fine details on the cupboard doors. Including metal knobs, dowel hinges, and wooden door stops. The drawers mirror the detail of the doors, and routed grooves hold various pieces in place. This piece has been stained but could definitely use some restoration to the finish. Please look at photos closely. Condition: One drawer(middle) is missing a knob and has minor loss to base panel. Four small holes drilled into back panel of cabinet— likely mounted on wall for display at some point— note wall protectors on back. There is stain and glue residue on underside of one drawer. There is a knick in the bottom left front and bottom right back. Note this item is aged and does have wear and tear. Please view photos carefully and ask any questions.
