This oak 2 drawer library card file box/cabinet measures 16 1/2" x 17" x 7" and the two drawers will hold 5" x 2" index cards. The oak cabinet is in solid condition and has not been refinished and the color od golden oak with some age. It has some ink stains on the top as noted on Photo No. 10. Everything is original and it was made in Rochester New York by Yawman and Erbe. Remnants of the label/sticker is shown on Photo No. 7. The top is removable if you wish to add this to a present stack.

A 5 drawer section that has 1 broken drawer and a section that has 2 pull out shelf pieces to rest things on.The hardware is all present with the exception of the broken drawer which is missing it's label bracket/pull.All the rods are there inside each drawer.The cabinet does not have a finished top.It is made to stack on top of other pieces and it had the rounded ledges down each side to hold steady when stacked.I still have those but I took them off and placed a cut to fit piece of pine in the opening so the top would be flat.When I put a coat of just paint thinner on the cut to fit piece it will match in color.I will do that today.My husband can make a solid top for the price of the lumber if wanted.It won't be hard to do yourself.Just find a piece of pine(pine seems to match perfectly) and cut it the same size as the actual top and screw, nail it or glue it down.On the

This is a very nice quality card cabinet and is made from tiger oak with a nice brass handle. It has a little brass plate on it that says"Library Bureau Sole Makers. It appears to be a light clear stained color and is very smooth. The cabinet is in good shape for it's age and has very few nicks. Dings or scrapes on it as you can see in the pictures. The cabinet is dovetail mortised along the top, bottom and on the drawer. One dovetail has a little piece missing from it as you can see in the second to the last picture. The cabinet has a bottom. This is a beautiful antique file. It looks like walnut. It's obviously very old and in mint condition. It has four little drawers. I've used it for recipes and pictures. You are bidding on a fantastic c.1910 tiger oak file cabinet repurposed into a coffee table. If you don't want to use it as a coffee table the legs easily come off. The cabinet has been cleaned up to look as close to new as possible. We added a custom top and stained it to match as close as possible. We then added stainless legs to make this a cool coffee table. There is the original hole there in one of the drawers for where the lock was but the lock is missing. The entire cabinet measures 33" wide 17" deep and 17" tall. ANTIQUE OAK LIBRARY SOLE MAKERS CARD CATALOG FILE CABINET RARE LONG OPEN DRAWERS
Antique Library card catalog. Made by the Library Bureau Sole Makers Company. Made of oak. Appears to have never been refinished. Shows years of loving wear. Please see all the pictures for a better idea of condition. There are 3 drawers with 6 areas for cards. The drawers are unlike most cabinets and are open rather than seperated into cubbies. This actually makes it much more usefull than most other cabinets. Only one drawer still retains the inside hardware. All drawers retyain the original outside hardware. One very interesting thing about this cabinet are the hand holds that were carved into the sides. This cabinet was apparently moved alot so the hand holds were added after production to aid in moving the cabinet. Normally I would say this would hurt the value but in this case they were probably added around 100 years ago and I feel ... morethis actually makes it even more interesting. I wish I knew the story of why they were added. Possibly a portable library. Think about it. Its very interesting and personally I feel since it was done so long ago it adds to the history and interest of this wonderfull piece.We will ship anywhere in the Continental United States fully insured for 35.00. The bottom part was lost through the centuries and the top was raised on bun feet and rounded apron was added to the bottom. This transformation took place a while ago and the wood shows some aging and doesn’t stand out. Two doors open wide. Revealing the interior, which is about 52” from side to side ... moreand 13” deep and 52” tall. We have added two 1 ½” thick heavy duty pine shelves. Which are completely adjustable and will hold a lot of weight. The shelves were aged to look old and will not stand out. The front doors are covered with gathered French country style fabric. Which can be removed so that you can see the interior through the glass. The lock is in working condition, complete with the key. The bibliotheque measures about 59” at the widest point and about 20 ¾” deep. It stands up about 63 ½” tall and the top surface can be used as a shelf. Displaying collectable items. Very heavy. Solid and well built item. The primer material is oak. However, secondary woods was also used on the sides and the back, which is common for 18th Century furniture. We were using it in our office for files and fabric samplers and it is hard to find a bookcase which will fit oversized files and provide such great access as this item does. Antique Rockwell Rupel Wabash Oak Flat File Drawer Cabinet Industrial
This tall antique oak file-drawer cabinet with flat file drawers dates to sometime between the late 1800s to the first decade of the 20th century. Before the era of vertical-file filing cabinets. The cabinet was manufactured by Rockwell& Rupel of Chicago, Illinois, and I have not been able to find another example of it anywhere online-in fact, I've only been able to find two file drawer cabinets made by this company: one is a smaller tabletop model, and the other was a wider one that was auctioned by Christies of London in 2006 for several thousand dollars. So, I think it would be fair to say that this is a rare piece of furniture. Probably used in an office setting in the late 19th to early 20th century. It later spent many years in use at a hand-crafted furniture company. When purchased it still contained piles of screws and cabinet ... moreknobs! As shown, the bottom two drawers are missing. I removed them, as they had been loaded down with screws and the bottoms were very beat up. HOWEVER, I saved the FRONTS(see second photo) and they could be attached as false fronts or of course a woodworker could replace the drawers. As shown, at some point in its long history the cabinet either had two top drawers replaced with one deep drawer, or perhaps only the cabinet pull was replaced. The drawer fronts have the remnants of old taped labels as well as scratches. Carved numbers, and plenty of wear. The bottom of the cabinet has significant wear to the trim, and I removed some of the side trim that was in bad shape. The cabinet and all its remaining drawers are in good structural condition and all the drawers are clean and open and close properly. The cabinet measures 60" tall, 30&3/4" wide, and 18&1/2 inches deep. Fixing this up is entirely optional-I love its worn. Industrial look and the hand-carved dentil molding and old-fashioned brass-plated label drawer pulls. This is another wonderful. OLD antique oak 8 drawer file cabinet. It was made by the SHAW WALKER Co. and is also marked Seattle Office Equipment Co. From the early 1900s, it looks like there ar 10 drawers, but the 2 bottom drawers are actually doubles, so they would hold a deeper file. overall great condition, doors all slide out smoothly. Very heavy over 100 lbs. Measures 52 inches high, is 22 inches across and is 27 inches deep. The drawers have little porcelain drawer pulls that are white. The pulls are chipped and cracked as you can see in the pictures. The screws that hold the knobs are a little rusty too. The cabinet is a cute size and measures 13.25" W x 5.25" D" w/o knobs) x 7.75" H and it weighs 6.25 lbs. We're not sure of the age of this cabinet or what kind of wood it is. It looks like all original to us. It has some chips. Cracks, scratches, edge wear, warps and nicks as is expected for an item of this age. Description All metal with faux wood-grain paint and brass handle. Painted label on the front. Very heavy and well constructed. Good condition with age appropriate wear. It has some paint loss. A few scratches, and some surface rust on the back end. The label is mostly intact. The brass has the appropriate patina you'd expect on a piece this old. One of the rods has two patent dates on it. The latest being 1908. It has one card clip. But may be missing another. The knob on the bottom spins one of the rods, and appears to do nothing at all except spin. I think that another card clip might have attached to it and was moved or locked by the knob on the bottom. The switch on the top holds the drawer in place and works great. Measures 16 1/2 in. deep. 11 1/2 in wide, and stands 7 1/2 in. tall. I took photos with and without flash. The flash ... morephotos seem to show off the wood grain and help the wear show up better than the non-flash photos. A Great Antique Shaw Walker 4 drawer wooden filing cabinet. It has the dovetail joints and the"Shaw Walker" name on the top. One drawer has the metal card holder. The other 3 do not. Marks, dings, finish loss, a crack here or there, and the one side does have a black substance(looks to be old glue from some type of label) on it, as seen in the picture. Made in England Circa 1940 Walnut Vertical tambour doors 36 total drawers Roller latches Small spot of damage to left door Minor wear Very sturdy, This very unique antique file or sheet music cabinet was made in England around 1940 and is a gorgeous walnut wood. The three vertically rolling tambour doors are the focal point of this cabinet. The originally had locks which held the doors up when closed. However those locks have been replaced with roller latches that are quite secure and require no key. Each tambour door houses a column of twelve open ... moreface drawers that slide in and out on wooden runners. Each drawer is about 15" wide. The top of this file cabinet is decorated with geometric and floral carvings which look beautiful. The paneled sides are clean and the brass hardware blends well with the walnut wood. There is one small spot of damage on the very left tambour door around the middle(see picture) and the entire piece has very minor cosmetic wear as you would expect from a piece of this age. Overall though, this cabinet is very sturdy and in very good condition. It is a unique piece that would make a wonderful addition to any home and can be used in a variety of ways. Character and history. This came from a military disbursement of office equipment before the computer age. Approximately outside dimensions 6 5/8 wide x 5 1/4 tall x 3 3/4 deep. I am going to say it's never been wet other than when wiped down. Looks very solid with good joints and hinges. Top closes well and tight. Has a few surface scratches through the finish. Up for auction.Antique card file and file cabinet from Yawman& Erbe date stamped 1914. This file acbinetis a 4 section modular and each section is iterchangable with the other. There are 19 drawers with many different arrangements possible. The sections are made of beautiful quatersawn Oak. The large drawers have solid brass pulls with the company logo"Y& E" embossed. The dividers in these drawers appear to be maple with brass adjusters. The small drawers have solid copper adjustable dividers. The sections fit together with a patented rail system. The top of the cabinet is also removeable and it is made from Oak plywood. The base seen in some photos is an after market add on and ... moreis not included in the auction( I will i nclude if wanted. But additional shipping required) Condition: As you can see. This file cabinet has been painted with a heavy oil based paint. The good thing is the paint was added over the existing finish so there has been little or no saturation into the wood. It will strip quickly. I was able to scrape off the paint in some sections quite easily. There is a broken drawer front and the missing section is not present. there is some side trim missing on the area between sections. Finally, the lid has suffered water damage. It is just the lid, no water damage is evident elsewhere on the cabinet. Structurally, the cabinet sections are excellent other than the aforementioned. It is restorer's dream in my opinion- a fun project, not too difficult, with a magnificent end result of a QuarterSawn Oak file cabinet from one of the great early makers. The drawer depth varies but most average 19” deep. Each drawer weighs about 9 1/2 ... morelbs. X 30 drawers = 285 lbs. Figure about 150 or so pounds for the frame. Once the drawers are out it’s fairly easy to move and impossible with the drawers installed. A fork lift put it in my truck. Condition: the two bottom SIDE molding pieces are missing along with a couple of small pieces of wood( all pictured) I have the original front molding piece but it’s not pictured. It’s just a flat piece of 1” X 4” painted black. I removed it because the bottom right drawer does not open more than an inch and I thought this may fix it. It did not. Something feels like it’s hitting the frame. It’s not swollen or broken. The solution is to lay it on it’s back and see what the problem is from the bottom(drawers out) The 2 missing ornate label frame are not missing and are included with the screws. The right back foot is missing. Don’t know how. But it stands fine without it. If it were mine I’ll put a dark stained 2 X 4 there. It's not like you're going to be moving it once you found a home for her. Again, all things you can quickly do when it’s on it’s back. Because we’ve talked for years, but never met! No surprises, just all fun and did we shop until we dropped! I have lots of very cool items for you that I will be listing all week. Enjoy! Here are two. Fancy, gorgeous, Eastlake era antique cast iron file cabinet drawer pulls. I wish I had more, but I do not- just these two. But what they lack in number, they make up with in a punch of style- aren't they beautiful? Made to mount on a file cabenit drawer, they have a slot on the top and a 2 1/8" wide by 3/4" tall"window" through which you would read the name of the file/s. Gosh, I think these would be cool for just about any door/drawer- ... moreget some more and label your whole kitchen! Each one measures 4 3/8" wide and 2 1/4" tall. They each have two screw holes for mounting- the holes are 3 1/2" apart- measuring hole center to hole center. Each one weighs 1/4 lb. They are in excellent condition. I think they may have had a brass/bronze or copper finish originally- just because I think I see peeks of it on the front relief areas- I could be wrong, but I think so. There's just the slightest amount of small spots of isolated surface rust- more on the back than anywhere and really minor. Absolultly gorgeous and ready for you! Antique Weis 6 Drawer Wooden Flat File Cabinet Desk Counter Top Document
Circa 1910 Weis document file cabinet for a desk or countertop. Has it's original mahogany finish(though I think the wood is actually birch) By this time in our country's manufacturing age cabinet woods were starting to get pricey. Furniture manufacturers were starting to use veneers and stains to simulate more expensive solid wood. The start of the Industrial Age to 1910 saw the diminishment of our great forrest stands of timber. This cabinet boasts it's original label on the top as well as original file drawer pulls. The drawers fronts have light finish loss. Please use the magnify feature to see this. Luckily none of the previous owners used any type of permanent paper in the file slots inside the drawer pulls. The inside bottom of all of the drawers have a hole so that legal documents could be stored that took up all of the ... moredrawers interior volume. You would pull the drawer open and insert your finger underneath and up through the hole to lift the pile of documents so that you just slide off the amount that you needed without wrinkling the documents. This cabinet measures 10 1/2" tall. 9 13/16" wide and 15 7/8" deep including the drawer pulls. The drawers measure 1" deep, 8 5/8" wide and 14 1/4" deep. The drawer measurements are the usable interior dimensions. The drawers are for the most part are very clean with just one of them having a small amount of dry residue. The drawers do not have any odor. The exterior of the cabinet is of fingerjoint construction with the inerior drawers being nailed. The exterior joints are very solid. The cabinet has various light scratches and some pinpoint paint drips. The top has a very small area of finish loss. The sides near the front of the cabinet have some slight finish loss as well. Facing the cabinet, it's right side has some finish loss along the bottom edge. This same side has a tight crack about 1 1/2" long coming up from the bottom. it is not very noticeable. Ironing board that pulls out, bread board, file section for envelopes and bills. Never saw another like it before and we have sold many of these type of cabinets. Signed Helen Boone on the back. An all in one purpose item: It measures 70 inches. 25 inches depth and 41 inches width. It has aged through the years and has been painted and a grain look given to it. The original color I think was gray. The iron board part has pieces that have come off. There's a hole to the back. Antique vintage library desk file 7 drawer cabinet industrial apothecary
Up for auction to U.S. customers only is a very nice old 7 drawer oak cabinet. It measures 13 inches tall x 11-1/2 inches wide and 9 inches deep. I believe this was originally part of a desk. Probably a rolltop, and fitted into a corner of the desk surface; all but two sides were oak, one side is pine and a second side, also probably unfinished pine, has had oak plywood added. There are some scratches and, as the pictures show, one of the drawer pulls is unlike the others, created using a brass card holder and knob(works fine, but replacement pulls can be purchased on ebay) What's interesting about the cabinet is that it can be turned upside down and the drawers will still fit and work fine- just depends on whether you want the largest drawers on top or on the bottom(see pictures) The large drawers are 1-1/2 inches high; the small drawers ... more4 inches wide and 3 inches high(note they are fashioned like scoops) and the openings that hold envelopes are 1 inch wide by 6 inches tall. There are also a few scratches but overall the finish is in really nice condition. A really nice, practical and handy storage file for all that loose stuff around the house. Antique Wooden Unique File Storage Cabinet 20 Tall Drawers with Brass Hardware Up for sale is a beautiful vintage file cabinet in original condition. The tall drawers make for an unusual piece and they are completely made of wood instead of metal. I do not know my woods well. But someone told me that the cabinet is made of walnut and the inside of poplar. I have included a close-up image, but let me know if you would like pictures of certain areas to confirm this. There are no markings of a manufacturer and I am unaware of when it was made. It is a nice, sturdy piece of furniture with normal wear that you get with anything this old and there are only a few flaws that are fortunately in areas which are rarely seen. One area is the very back of the top where some small pieces have come off. You are bidding on an original condition large quartered or tiger oak 4 drawer Library Index File Cabinet with solid brass pulls. It has the sliding spacers in each drawer and a dovetailed top. It measures 19.5 inches wide by 16.5 inches deep and 13" high. The inside of each drawer measures over 8" wide for large index cards. Cd's or whatever. You don't find this size very often. The upper right corner of one drawer is chipped. The weight is just over 31 pounds. A real quality piece. If shipping is less then I quote, I will refund. Lot of 36 Matching Antique vintage Bin File Cabinet Drawer Pulls Handles brass
This is a lot of 36 vintage file cabinet pulls. They are in good condition with very little wear. This is how I found them I didn't clean them. The one picture shows the most tarnished two of the bunch. I'm not sure what they are made out of, brass, nickel. A magnet does not stick to them. The square part measures about 2 3/4" by 1 1/4" the total measurement is about 2 3/4" by 2 1/4" If you need more information just ask. Payment is due within 3 days of auctions end. Antique Globe Stacking File Cabinet 28 Drawers. Antique Globe Stacking File Cabinet This is a very rare all-steel Globe stacking cabinet. The ultimate storage/organization piece with it's variety of drawers and cabinet space. There are 4 drawer/cabinet sections plus the base. Top and a mid top/counter piece. Original dark brown paint with original black painted wood-grained effect over the brown, giving it a nice, subtle faux-wood-grained look. Some chipping to the paint but retains at least 90-95% The entire unit is 71" high x 32" wide x 25" deep and weighs 440 lbs. Incredibly solid with extreme heavy-duty high-quality construction. Notice the"raised panel" look to the cabinet doors and some of the drawers. Very clean and ready to place in your office, workshop, study, loft, etc. Everything works and fits together ... morecorrectly. This beautiful survivor has an overall fantastic look with age/patina/distress/ wear& tear/etc(see photos for cosmetic condition) and is completely solid and tight structurally. Two fully adjustable steel shelves with spring-lock mechanisms are in the bottom cabinet. The 18 middle section drawers were made with a finger-hole(a guess) in the bottoms which was taped over by the original owner(see photo below) and 8 or so of the 112 tiny little screws on the name tag holders are missing(see photo below) Questions welcome.
