Here is a fabulous find. a beautiful antique English crotch mahogany corner cabinet and stand. Imported from the UK through Edinburgh and ready to make a statement in your home or office today. This marvelous cabinet was probably manufactured somewhere in the early twentieth century and is a quality made piece in very nice condition for it's age, a rare find with original stand. This lovely corner cabinet comes in two pieces. The lovely stand with small drawer stands 36 inches tall and appears to have been made for this particular cupboard, as it fits perfectly as shown in my photo's where the two pieces join. The stand is 33 inches across it's widest point and each of the two sides which run against the wall to the corner are 22 1/2 inches long. English Chippendale Broken Arch Hanging Corner Cabinet or Cupboard Blind Doors. Late 18th Century c. 1780-1800 Item# 130001GHP27 This is a very fine solid mahogany English Chippendale Hanging Antique Corner Cabinet or Cupboard with a Broken-Arch Pediment. Crafted during the last quarter of the 18th Century c. 1780-1800. Of outstanding construction. It features thick planed and carved crown molding along the Broken-Arch, raising the visual plane of the cabinet quite intensely to culminate in a turned finial over a plinth scroll cut of the solid. The sides of the case bevel to soften the edge before joining the wall, these flanking two blind doors. The doors are constructed using a through-tenon mortised frame locking in the inset chamfered panels. Each with shapely notched crests and edged by cockbead molding, both functioning smoothly on ... moreoriginal brass hinges. Inside of the doors, the original hardware remains untouched, the hand forged iron latch on the left door locking the panel in place, the original steel lock on the right door still in place. The interior is four shelves, all but the second-to-top shelf backed by a silk upholstery. The back of the case is entirely dovetail construction. The quarter-sawn oak secondary woods locking into the top and bottom boards without the use of nails or screws. Over the years, this has placed some strain on the back-most corners, as the oak is not thick enough to create an indestructible joint, resulting in some light cracking and looseness where the two boards come together. The cabinet is meant to be mounted using multiple screws through the backboards, coupled with the original hanging tabs at the top of the cabinet on both sides. This is a simply gorgeous antique corner cabinet that can pull together any formal and classically oriented part of your home. It has wonderful hand laid dentition work above the upper shelf as shown in close ups and it can be used standing as shown or hanging on the wall. It stands 28 1/2 inches tall by 23 inches wide by 8 3/4 inches front to back. The top display shelf surface is 26 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches front to back while the lower larger shelf surface is 17 1/2 inches tall and 8 3/4 inches front to back. The cabinet is not too heavy so this maybe me a medium density wood. The top of the cabinet has 2 small pieces of wood that have been replaced. There must have been some significant damage at some point that needed to be repaired. Also. There is a very minor repair to the wood where the hinges of the door are attached. It looks as though someone swung the door open too fast and partially popped them at one point. This area has been repaired and is not really that noticeable unless you are looking for it. There is one shelf inside that is thinner and in two pieces. It holds things securely. Vintage/Antique? Florentia Gilt Toleware Hanging Box/Cabinet Hinged Door Italy
For your consideration we are offering this lovely gold gilt toleware box/cabinet from Italy. The hinged box has two hooks on the back for hanging on the wall. The box has a wonderful patina which comes only from age. This is a recent find from a local estate combined moving sale. The box had a hanging tag on it identifying the piece as belonging to grandma unreadable name. I do not have an age for this piece. The box is lined with red cloth which appears to be felt. I do not know if this lining is original. The door of the small box/cabinet has a lovely cream toleware with a branch and lyre accented with gold gilt on the center design and along the edge. The body of the box has the same pattern and gold gilt. This box has not been cleaned to protect the patina. The box has wear from age. See photo's. Antique Hanging Corner Cupboard Cabinet Blue Paint Mirror Primitive SE PA to start a new paragraph use- This is a charming old"make do" fancy piece out of Southeastern Pennsylvania. It's a heavy piece and the frame looks to be constructed out of second hand hard wood crating boards; the boards are 3/4" thick. There is old paint on it. Looks to be several coats of paint on the front from over the years, none of them new. There is plaster molding trim framing the outside edges of the front and framing the door opening. That's what makes it a"fancy" make do piece) This piece is solid and sturdy. There is light chipping of the paint on the front exposing some of the plaster in the molding. And overall age to the painted surface, the door closes easily but there is a slight gap at the top, there are also some gaps ... morein the boards. The mirror is old and has some losses on the back, but all are small and it's perfect with this piece. The mirrored glass is beveled on one side only opposite the door handle and was probably taken from an old mirror. I'd never replace it. Fancy metal pull that was also painted over at some point. These type pieces are getting very hard to find and this came up in a small shop here in PA. It's a one of a kind. This is not a typical offering from us, but I just couldn't resist it. And it's been confirmed as fabulous from all the"ooooh and ahhhh" comments since I brought it home, even from members of my household who arent' into antiques so much. The unboxed weight is about 22lbs(shipping weight about 27lbs) Measures Approximately 27 inches tall, the front is 16 inches across, the two back side boards are 12 inches across forming a"V" in the back, the cabinet is 10 inches deep at the widest point from the center of the"v" to the front, with one small shelf inside. The bottom is flush, and this will stand on the floor as shown or could be displayed on top of a table or other piece you may have to complement it.

It was removed from a Hanover County Virginia estate. It measures 26-3/4" tall x 14-1/8" wide x 6" deep. Made in the early 20th century. It features a darkened and worn dovetailed case, a single door with a reverse beveled panel, the original brass hinges and knob/latch on the door, a clean interior with four shelves that have from 3-3/4" 9" clearance between them, and a back with two holes for easy hanging. This is a primitive cupboard. But aside from general wear remains in very good condition. The lock is missing, thus the hole just below the latch. It features a nice aged patina, a single glass front door attached with the original five small hinges, a metal knob on the door, and a clean interior with three fixed shelves. Two of the shelves have small plate grooves in the back. There is 7" clearance between two of the interior shelves and 4-1/2' between the other. This is a primitive cupboard. It was removed from a Hanover County Virginia estate. It measures 26-3/4" tall x 14-1/8" wide x 6" deep. Made in the early 20th century. It features a darkened and worn dovetailed case, a single door with a reverse beveled panel, the original brass hinges and knob/latch on the door, a clean interior with four shelves that have from 3-3/4" 9" clearance between them, and a back with two holes for easy hanging. This is a great diminutive hanging corner cabinet with kind of a folk art look. It is solid pine with nice old thick and decorative mahogany veneer. There are several shelves inside which will make for excellent corner storage. There is a geometric design to the paneled door as well as an inlaid wood escutcheon. The drawer is hand dovetailed and chamfered. Although there is only one drawer. It appears to have three due to the three original wooden pulls or knobs. the top is pine as are the rear boards. One of the rear pine boards is very wide at 17" There are new hanging brackets on the back at the top. At some point a block was added so that this cabinet could also be a freestanding unit. It does retain the original lockset and key. Antique CHINA CABINET(hutch) with a substantial and compatible. Antique DRY SINK. Although the China Cabinet was originally intended to hang on a wall. Right side up, with the thick crown molding at the top, all of the photos above, except for one(3rd photo) display the china cabinet upside down, as it has been positioned and used by the owner for the last sixty years. Metal hooks are on the back of the china cabinet for hanging it topside-up, as described, although the owner has never done this. Both items are dated from the mid to late 1800's and pair up beautifully in any traditional Americana styled household. These items are NOT reproductions as you tend to see so often online. The owner's grandmother ... morebought these and other items from an antique dealer directly out of a freight box-car from Pennsylvania. At the Van Nuys train station in California during the mid 1950's. They have been in the same family ever since. We are not furniture experts. We believe the furniture is made of pine. At one time the owner was told that the dry sink was possibly Shaker and/or Pennsylvanian and that both were in demand. They are used and bear some wear but are still functioning pieces. There is no evidence of repairs/restoration. There are no loose knobs. No broken glass, no broken hindges. All drawers are solid and easily open and close. The structural integrity of both items is ROCK SOLID. Please note that the tape on some of the photos was placed temporarily to secure the doors of the glass cabinet while in transport. Antique Victorian Carved Wood Wall Hanging Mirror Comb Box Towel Holder Cabinet Here's a Victorian era beauty that will appeal to all generation lovers. It's a solid wood wall hanging cabinet- with simple spoon carved wood decoration and an original beveled glass mirror. It's a fabulous multi-use piece- with the mirror. A hinged lid comb box, and a towel bar at the bottom. I would have hung in a bedroom for morning wash up with the pitcher and wash basin- is it was a pre-indoor plumbing piece. Now, it'll look great in your bathroom, bedroom or kitchen- wherever you hang it- it will shine. It measures 26" tall in total, 14" widest at the back, and 5 3/8" deepest from the back to the front of the comb box. The comb box measures 10 3/4" wide by 3 3/4" deep at the box, and the lid hangs 1" over the ... moretop of the box(by design) so it's 4 3/4" deep. The mirror is 9 1/2" by 7 1/2" and has a 1" bevel all the way around. It weighs just under 6 lbs. You can see small black spots of silver loss all over the mirror- totally expected with age, and the reflection is still very good- there's lots of small spots, but you can still see images very well and crisp in the mirror. It's in excellent solid and sturdy condition- I'm showing in photo 3 that it appears to have a repair- you reallyreally have to look close to notice, but it looks like the left"point" broke off and was glued back on at one point in time. The seam is so thin- it's very hard to see. There's finish wear all over- scratches, scrapes, dings that are minor and will really minimize with a coat of polish or a little stain tough up- the worst is on the top right and I'm showing it in a close up in photo 5- it's very light scratching and scraping of the finish only there- not the wood.
