The piece is of solid walnut construction. And has 4 long drawers, each with tasteful, minimal carving. This delightful piece features a cantilevered(overhanging) drawer to the top, and large decorative barley twist ... morecolumns to each side. The timber is glorious, with a lovely mellow patina, and that real feel of age and quality. The chest of drawers has impressive hardware, including quality lion-head handles and a large decorative escutcheon with key. It stands on bun feet, and is finished with a deep, rouge marble top. This gorgeous piece would be ideal as a bedroom chest. As a storage unit in the living area or even as a lamp table or feature piece. It has versatility combined with great functionality. The piece measures 115cm wide, 52.5cm deep and stands 98.5cm in height. It is a very pretty. Mellow piece in original condition. The top section is finished with a wonderful marble insert, in brown, cream and grey tonings. The lower section of this glorious cabinet has two drawers with curved drawerfronts finished with egg and dart decoration. Beneath the drawers is a large open cupboard with two highly decorative doors- beautiful deep carving to the centre. The side panels have double turned and fluted columns. The servery is finished with an undershelf supported bysubstantial turned columns. The timber has a soft. Natural patina in a mid- deep brown tone. The armoire is break front in style. Meaning it has a central protruding section and side sections ... morethat are slightly recessed. It features three doors, each with its original shaped, bevelled mirrors with very large bevelled edges. It has an elaborate central carved plume feature to the top, making it a very tall and impressive piece. Internally, the armoire would be intended for predominantly hanging space, and would require a rod to be fitted for this purpose. The interior of the doors are beautifully finished and show the quality of the piece. The base of the armoire has three slides, providing extra storage. The armoire or wardrobe has a shaped skirt with lovely burr walnut decorative panels, and stands on pretty carved cabriole legs. This gorgeous armoire is beautiful to look at. Made from solid oak this lovely piece is hugely multi-functional and will work in any room you need storage in. A single door armoire with turned and reeded column supports to either ... moreside of the mirror door. There is a drawer underneath with a slide to keep out dust. And four(4) adjustable shelves inside with another drawer under one of the shelves. The finish is original and a good mid-brown colour with a lovely mellow patina which has developed over many years of loving use. There is a twin bolt lock which is still operable. This is a tall armoire with a height of 226cm(just under 8 foot) and is 107cm in width. The armoire is 57cm deep. The interior shelves each measure 96cm in length and are 38cm deep. This armoire is in good condition and the only issue is some spotting to the mirror. Which is so"in" today. It is possible that the back of the mirror has been replaced at some stage during its lifetime of approximately 115 years. However, age-appropriate wear and character marks should be expected. The piece is of mahogany construction. And features relatively straight lines, a wavefront drawer to the top, and two large cabinet doors which open to reveal four shelves and the base, making five shelves in all. The piece stands on bracket feet, and also features rounded sides to the drawer, and flame mahogany drawer fronts for a classically elegant look. Atop the cabinet is its original piece of solid marble, in tones of grey and white. This gorgeous piece would be ideal as a storage unit. Bookcase, linen press or feature piece in any room of the home. The cabinet has a wonderful soft mellow tone to its original patina, and just looks classy! The piece measures 125cm wide across the marble top, and is 155.5cm in overall height. It is 47cm deep on the timber body and 54cm deep with the marble top. It is a very pretty. Constructed of oak. The Cabinet has floral carvings flanking the front edges with Lion Head Carvings to the top and bottom. The two drawers are also curved with carving that matches the top pediment. The upper section. With two glass panels in the doors is narrower than the base, and supported by turned carved supports. This French Oak 2 Height Cabinet has been well loved and used constantly, thus accounting for the lovely glow from the aged patina. This cabinet offers good storage having a central shelf to the base and also the the upper section. With an open area for display on the top of the lower section. The two pieces are detachable for ease of transport. There are no major condition issues. However. There are some small details to consider, such as some staining and marks to the top of the lower cabinet. The hardware on the drawers has been replaced and one of the escutcheon panels is missing from the top door. As the photos indicate there are some missing pieces to the turned supports. Definitely antique. We would date this delightful piece to c1880. The cupboard or sideboard base is of pale. Golden oak construction and has many renaissance features. It has two curved-front drawers above two panelled doors with ... moreelaborate carving. The doors open to reveal a large storage area, with a central fixed shelf. The doors of the cabinet are flanked by turned columns, surmounted by lion's heads. I imagine there would originally have been large metal loops in the lions' mouths, easily replaced if desired. The cupboard retains it's original handles and locks, and stands on squat bun feet. The cupboard measures 120cm wide. 55.5cm deep and 105cm high. It has many practical purposes, but wouldst certainly be ideal in size and height as a television cabinet or stand. The piece is in lovely vintage condition.
