Antique SIngle Bank Oak Desk With Raised Panels
We are pleased to offer to the market this beautiful antique oak desk. This dates to the late 1800's early 1900's and is in need of a little TLC on the top only. It measures 43.5" wide x 27" deep x 30" high. The desk is a single bank with a large kneehole. The kneehole measures 24.5" high to the bottom of the center drawer and it is 26.75" wide. The sides have three panels and the back has four panels. All of the drawers are dove tailed and there is a pullout writing surface above the top drawer. All of the keyholes have the moldings on them and we do not have the key to this. This is structurally solid. There is a small crack at the base of the bank of drawers on the inner side. There is some discoloration and stains on the top of this. The remainder of the finish looks good. This is a previously owned item ... moreand it is being sold as is as shown. Great pair of quartersawn oak raised panel furniture panels. I am told that these came from a Midwest train station and were part of a very large desk credenza from the office. Each panel is 45 inches wide and 28 3/4 inches tall at the tallest points on the ends. These are 3/4 inch thick. Will ship to the lower 48 only. Please ask any questions. For your consideration. A gorgeous antique corner cupboard. With raised panel door, and antique brass hardware. A beautiful antique. In as-found condition, ready for you to put in your home! I believe this cupboard to be made of pine. It is 28.5” high. 14.5” deep, and 28.25” wide at the widest point(the top corners) The back of the cupboard is open. So your gorgeous wall color will show through. The two interior shelves are painted white. The outside of the cupboard is natural with protective coat on it. The patina on this is just lovely. There is some wear to the bottom left corner. And the back piece is a bit separated from the main piece(see pictures) Some extra nails/screws and general tightening up will address these issues. This is a really interesting quarter sawn barrister bookcase. I sell lawyer's bookcase(sometimes called a stacker) but have not had this model before. Three sections tall with raised paneled fronts on each section door. The top section is a drop front desk with a nice fitted interior. The overall size of the piece is 34 wide. 47 high, 12 deep. Up for auction is a lovely INDIAN SOLID SILVER 3 PIECE TEASET ON TRAY with repoussed panel of HINDU DEITIES probably made in MADRAS c.1900 The solid silver 3 piece teaset has heavily repoussed oval panels of HINDU DEITIES. All 3 pieces of the teaset have 8 of these panels to the bodies and 4 to the lids/covers. The spout is well modelled in the form of an ELEPHANT'S HEAD. An unusual feature is that even the creamer has a lid/cover. The teapot. Sugar and creamer each stand on 4 feet. The large oval tray has 12 heavily repoussed oval panels of HINDU DEITIES. There is a central large unmonogrammed(never been monogrammed) oval cartouche surrounded by 4 more HINDU DEITIES. The border is in the form of 8 INTERTWINED SNAKES. The tray is nearly 15.5 inches(approx. 39 cm) long by approx. 11.5 inches(29cm) wide/deep. The 3 piece teaset on tray ... moreweighs 45 troy ounces(1.399 grams) There is no makers mark which is common with Indian silver. The middle has two vertical glass openings. There is no glass presently. The top has one horizontal glass panel. This piece is cracked. The fronts and backs look pretty much the same. The front has ornate molding around the top glass. One piece is missing. All of the hardware needs to be replaced. It measures 34 inches wide. By 100.5 tall and is 1.75 inches thick. Overall it is in decent condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good scrubbing but will clean up nicely. This is quite a nice quarter sawn quartered oak barber shop cabinet. I always look for barber shop items because they tend to be interesting and also high quality. This cabinet has paneled sides and raised paneled doors. Brass hardware including the spring loaded hinges on both doors which assists the door to close(both work well) We have refinished this piece and it has a smooth and even finish and is in excellent condition. Set of Two ~ Antique Raised Knot Embroidery with Raised Padded Embroidered Message on 100% Linen ~ Angels ~ Large Sham Front Panels This is for a set of two matching 100% thick linen European pillow sham front panels that were completely hand embroidered by my grandmother while she was living in Europe. The embroidery work is that of raised knot like stitches with thick padded embroidered message that reads as follows: Holy Angels Guard Thy Bed Rare. Hard to find, one of a kind totally hand done panels. To complete them to euro pillow shams, one will need to finish them off by adding back fabric and zipper or one can finish the edges and make them sham pillow overlays. One can also leave as is, because these two panels are very rare and perfect for the antique linen collector. Pair Japanese Cloisonne Goldstone Small Bud Vase Raised Panels Antique Black Red
A nice old pair of interesting 3 3/4" tall Cloisonne vases. They are indented(like a melon) so that there are four raised panels. The enamel has flecks of gold. Which I believe is referred to as goldstone. Most of the eBay listing I have found using this decorating technique have been listed as Japanese. Please feel free to politely offer your opinion. The have old price tags of $95. One has something inside that I've been unable to remove. It appears to be a piece of ceramic. This fine quality door is made of solid Cypress and has 3 raised panels on one side and a full length mirror on the opposite side. Hardware: Aside from a mortise lock. Core of a pine tree, and not the soft, outer, living sap-wood. Since it takes 30 years for a pine tree just to develop just 1” of heart stock it is rarer.
