I hauled this out of the basement of an old home, and it is showing some age ... morewear, most notably with a couple slices out of drawer faces. There is slight pull away of the dovetailing on the bottom, but I think you could probably carefully tap it back into place. The previous owner did a very slap-up job of putting a dark stain on it, so the finish is somewhat inconsistent, you can see the oak in places inside, and there are faint watermarks on top, but I honestly love the look and character of this piece, and it's completely solid and functional. All four metal sliders are still inside, though they are a little stiff/rusty. Measures about 16" x 13 1/2" x 9 1/2".

Beautiful Vintage trifid foot liquor cabinet. Made of quartersawm and oak wood. Trifid or Drake foot vintage furniture with the cabriole leg are characteristics of 18th century design. Mostly appears in Queen Ann-style,and Chippendale-style. American cabinet makers from Newport and Rhode Island also used this style in 1900 late Victorian era. Though I am not an expert, this is what I have found in researching this item. Both drawers, Bottom storage compartment, and both side curio doors have a script design key fixture with usable locks except for the top drawer does not lock. The top surface of the cabinet has a candle burn mark in the center(please see pictures for visual details) The lock and surface burn both look to be very fixable. This is a great vintage piece. Up for auction is a customer hand made table and 2 chairs solid oak set for dolls. This was my Grandma's set. She collected dolls and this is made for a doll around 18 inches. The set is in excellent condition with very minor wear. The dimensions of the table: 10.5 inches tall. The table top is 12 inches in diameter. Three Herhold Furniture Oak Bentwood Chairs w/ cane seats in great condition
Three oak bentwood chairs with cane seats. One of these chairs has a paper tag reading. Herhold Chicago. The other two have the name, Herhold Chicago" engraved into the wood on one side of the base of the seat. Between 1870 and 1885, Chicago, Ill. went from bring the fourth largest furniture producing center behind Cincinnati, Ohio, Philadelphia, Pa. and NYC. to the number one largest furniture producing center, after a slow restart from the famous Chicago fire of 1871. Its attractiveness to investors was its great development as a railroad hub and for manufacturing products made from wood, there was no match for its location in the amount of lumber that passed through the city daily. By consulting the 1870 census’ list of manufacturers engaged in manufacturing furniture, a Frederick Herhold is listed as one of the seven largest furniture ... moremakers of that time. It was also noted that Messrs. F. Herhold and A.P. Johnson jointly owned the largest chair factory of that time, employing a capital of not over $50,000. In 1885, the partners“were divided by two separate concerns” and Herhold Furniture was once again its own company. By 1900 census, Herbold Furniture is not listed in the top furniture manufacturing companies. By all this, we can assume the bentwood chairs where the company name is engraved were made by Herhold Furniture sometime in the 1870s. The one with the paper label was made during the second incarnation of Herhold after his partnership w/ Johnson ended. Bentwood furniture is a type of furniture made by bending wooden rods into the required shape after they have been heated with steam. Although this method of bending wood was used by makers of the Windsor chair in the 18th century, it was not until the 1840s that its possibilities were exploited fully. Holland, MI between 1907& 1925, has been in the family for decades. Was going to be restored by grandpa, but passed. Missing sections of the side/rear, but do have some loose parts, unknown if all here, come look. Was told it's a rare piece, grandpa restored antique furniture as a hobby, so not a cheap piece.
