It measures 33" wide by 17" ... moredeep by 26" high. I have priced this stunning and rare sliding glass door stacking section at a very low price for a very quick sale. This will make an awesome addition to any set of stacking sectional oak files! Please note that I don't have a great digital camera. The pictures aren't so great but the actual file is 1000 times nicer in person. Its a real beauty! Keep in mind that this stacking oak sectional file is compatible with many other early office file makers such as Yawman& Erbe. Globe Wernicke. Just check the measurements. If your file measures 17" deep by 33" wide than this section will fit yours. As any collector of early antique office files know. These sliding glass door sections are very, very, very rare and extremely hard to find. They didn't make many of them in the 1890's and obviously as they are made of glass. not many of the ones they did make have survived 110+ years. The overall condition is great though it is approx 110 years old. It isn't new or perfect. No big problems, very minor and overall it is in great condition. The cabinet has very deep rich tiger graining and a beautiful golden oak tone. There is some small pieces of veneer missing along the bottom on the left side as well as some small pieces of veneer missing on the interior right side near the sliding door. Nothing major and not a big deal. The interior has numerous original holes on each side so that shelves can be installed, the doors slide perfectly and I believe that the glass is original. The door even retains its original brass knob. As the doors are glass. My preference would be a buyer who can pick up the cabinet though I am willing to ship it. If you have an antique oak sectional filing cabinet and you have been wanting to add a glass doored section you already know how rare these sections are! Well, here it is.

There is an old repair to the veneer on the top and a few scratches and scuff marks. The outside has a nice patina. The inside mechanism is complete with slider that holds cards upright. It works smoothly and is nice and solid. There is a partial maker's label which appears to be redish with a gold border. Look at all the pics carefully. A couple are missing the buttons or name plates. Nothing you can’t find on-line if you want. These are in“as found” condition. That means I have not cleaned. Polished or enhanced these in any way. One cabinet top has a white ring where a plant used to sit, but the veneer is fine. Another has a very small sliver of missing veneer from an edge. A couple of the bottom drawers have a small amount of veneer lifting, but no material is missing and it’s a straight glue back operation. No real damage anywhere and they can be used right away. Any“flaws” are cosmetic. There are a few white paint lines here and there. It can all be cleaned away. The middle has no sides since it was made to be sandwiched between the end units. Antique Vintage Library Bureau Sole Makers 4-Drawer Wood Oak File Cabinet
For auction is one beautiful vintage 4-drawer quarter-sawn oak file cabinet from the early 1900s. It is in fantastic original condition. The finish is original and has only minor nicks and scratches. The brass hardware retains its original patina. And all hardware is accounted for. Each drawer has a dark green metal adjustable divider inside, and the top drawer has the original LBSM patent decal inside the drawer face. All metal glides operate smoothly. The finish is slightly lighter inside the label holders. There is also a slightly darker area on the top towards the front left of the cabinet(see photo) There is only one side panel. But it is reversible, so assuming the file cabinet is placed with one side against a wall, you can use the side panel on whichever side faces the room. These cabinets were made to screw together in rows, so you ... morecan also attach it to an existing LBSM file cabinet of the same size and vintage. There is a date stamp on the inside(JUN 15 1922) which I assume is the date of manufacture. There is also an inventory number(25U59) punched into the wood on the upper left hand corner on the front of the frame. Here is a beautiful 2 drawer Library Bureau SoleMakers filing cabinet. It is made of solid oak and still has its original finish. The dovetail woodworking is amazing. Take a look at all the pictures. For some reason there is no back on this unit. It looks like it may have been removed at some point to accommodate an installation into somewhere. The inside drawers are clean and open as they should. The rods are missing but the dividing blocks are still present. All the external brass hardware is in excellent condition. Up for auction is this fine vintage piece. Dating to the 1930's. This apparently was used by the US Postal Service. This measures 17 1/2" deep x 13" wide x 11" high. Great size for many uses. This type of file is not in abundance and to find in this condition is almost impossible! With a locking lip(Key is in lock) which also is not often found.makes this piece a jewel. Also includes the matching topper top section with the Yawman& Erbe brass label center front. Each section as 3 oversize index type drawers. All the drawers have the original brass pull handles and the brass label card holder. Some drawers have the center guides inside and some are just wide open. All 3 sections have the desirable paneled sides. Magnificent quartersawn oak- a classic 1910 era oak office file. Perfect for expanding your current ... morefile collection. The files have normal surface wear; the top cover section has a stain and 1 deeper scratch; the backing wood on the larger bottom file is loosening but backing wood is an easy fix if desired. MACEY ONE PIECE OAK FILE FILING CABINET DCUMNT & BIG CARD FILE SECTIONS
FOLKS, It's been 3 years since we been lucky enough to have a"one piece" MACEY Tiger Oak File with interchangeable sections of various file styles. The grain pattern of the tiger oak are awesome. The finish has a medium rich honey hue. I believe this is an early model because the cuts of the solid tiger appear a little thicker than others we've had. There are two sections with two document holders with compression panels. The other two sections each have rare filing drawers measuring from the inside 11 1/4" wide. 4 3/4" high and 17 1/2" deep with compression panels also. Overall dimensions of this treasure are 15" wide. 21" deep and 55" high. Just remove the screw on the top of each section and you can change where the sections go for your preference! I have done nothing to it-no polish or Old English. It is a beautiful piece of History and would make a wonderful addition to someone's personal library! All the drawers are made to fix 3"x5" index cards and they all are still in fine working condition. The cabinet is constructed of quarter sawn oak and the individual drawers have oak fronts and(I think) maple bottoms/sides. The drawers are made with dovetailed construction. The previous owner put a removeable masonite bottom on almost all drawers which was more suitable than the metal slides for dividers for storing small items(see photos of a few different drawers. A couple of the drawers have adjustable dividers. Most are plain. All of the hardware is present with the exception of one drawer pull. The back is open but the drawers have stops and they will not push through. If the unit goes against a wall. A back would not be necessary. The ... morecabinet measures 53" tall X 33-1/2" wide X 18" deep. I'm told that the weight is over 300 lbs. The drawers are about 16" deep. 5" wide, and 2-5/16" high(with the masonite inserts, the height becomes 2-1/8" The drawer facea are 5-3/4" X 2-1/2" The drawers all slide easily. It is in good solid condition and can be easily used as is, but it might also be a potential candidate for a restoration job. I have taken a number of photos, so please take a close look. Here is a vintage Macey. Of Grand Rapids Michigan, four draw index card file cabinet in beautiful tiger oak wood. It is made of solid oak and is in excellent condition. The original Macey litho is in very nice condition. It has all of the original hardware and everything works as it should. Please take a look at all the pictures. There looks to be some finish wear on the top and the top right draw has a slight crack in it. Both are very easy fixes if you feel like doing so. Antique Nice Solemakers 4 Drawer Oak File Card Cabinet Box Finger Jointed
This is an Antique very nice Solemakers Library Bureau 4 drawer Oak card file cabinet in good condition. The fingerjoints are the old hand done ones with the extra detail on the back panel which leads me to believe it is probably pre 1900. The hardware and Solemakers Tag are all original brass with a natural tarnished patina. The interior slides are not with the box but the interior is clean and in good shape. The finish was cleaned a bit and a new top coat of shellac applied. There is some fading to the original color on one side with the rest in a good original light to medium oak shade. There are some use marks primarily to the top but the cabinet is in good condition and a good looking piece of furniture. someone has requested that i list this piece. it has been at the farm house for a few decades. anyway. This is for you joe. i have always liked the rare and unusual pieces and that is what i primarily collect. i have seen this model a few times 30 years ago, but i have not seen one exactly like it sell for many years, but i don't see everything that sells, so perhaps there has been 200 sold in the last month, but from years of experience, i don't think these are very plentiful in this particular century. anyway, this is a rare form macey stack file cabinet. it a base that is 24 inches tall, 24 inches deep and 44 inches wide with 4 doors all solid quartersawn oak. inside the base or cabinet it has holes drilled for mounting one shelf across each 1/2 of the base, the base has a solid divider. anyway, i did not find the shelves when ... morei gathered this piece up. they are bound to be somewhere, if i don't find them i will make shelves to go in them. the best i remember the shelves were laminates or pine. anyway, that is a minor deal. it has two locks which secure each 1/2 of the base which i can't find the key for, but will have one made. no one has lived in the farm house for about 18 years now so the entire piece was covered in dust and dirt, enough to grow corn in. i have only cleaned it. it is presented in original finish with wonderful patina. on the base is a stack of 8 file drawers, on top of it is another, and on top of the second is two sections of files which are 4 drawers each. all the files are solid quartersawn oak. each file drawer has its original handle and each still retains its paper or file blocker or stop and the rod it slides on. the file stacks are 12 inches tall, 16 inches deep, and 44 inches wide with the exception of the top two which are the same height and depth but 22 inches each wide which of course makes the pair to fit and match at 44 inches. there is no wiggle or wobble to this piece in anyway. the joints as you can see are dovtailed on the top portion of the base and also

Antique quarter sawn oak index card file cabinet by Library Bureau Solemakers. Circa 1890. The six drawer file cabinet has solid brass pulls and maker's label. The drawers and cabinet are constructed with handcut dovetails. The back of the cabinet has an inset panel. The cabinet measures about 13 1/2" deep x 12 1/2" wide x 11 1/2" tall. The file cabinet has been restored. The original shellac finish has been re-applied by hand. All brass was removed and polished and the drawer runners have been waxed. The cabinet is in very good used antique condition. No problems found, only normal signs of light use. The rods for each of the drawers are not present. Antique wooden file cabinet, quartersawn/tiger oak, mission style
This is an antique quartersawn(tiger) oak filing cabinet with three drawers. Nearly 50" tall. The drawers slide without sticking and the cabinet is quite sturdy; however, the finish is scratched and worn. The inside of the top drawer has a chip that is not visible from the outside. It has been kept indoors(in use) in a smoke-free home. There are no dust guards between the drawers, and the drawer bottoms are open in the center. The lowest drawer has a wooden file divider, but there are no rails for hanging folders. It has the original hardware, which looks like antique brass, somewhat worn. This antique oak cabinet was stored in a barn for years so it has an old musty smell. It was used for holding small parts and tools so it's dirty inside and out plus the original finish has alligatored on the back and side panels. There are small nail holes around the top edge with traces of old gray paint. It has the original brass hardware and the two bottom ones are pulled away from the drawer a little.

Vintage Globe-Wernicke Oak File Box No. 83C Junior Tray 5 1/2" x 4" x 4 1/4" in good condition. Lovely patina to the oak. Working brass hinges connecting the lid to the bottom of the box, dovetail design, some of the dovetailing does look to have been separated but still in good condition, the bottom has been repaired as it was split in two when I found the box, and the top looks have tape residue. This is a wonderful little box to hold all your treasures! I found this box in a bunch of my grandparents items and believe it to have been acquired in the 1940-50's. Two genuine. 2 drawer, circa 1910-1950, file cabinets. Nice, aged patina. Oak construction with dovetailed drawers& dovetailed cabinet. Both are finished on top with felt on bottoms. Each measures approx. 17 inches deep, 14 inches wide, and 5 1/2 inches tall. Inside drawer measures 5 1/8 inches wide, 3 3/4 inches tall and 13 inches deep.Some cabinet cracking/defects and backs are rough. One label holding frame is cracked in photo#6. There's 4 smaller at top and 3 larger below. It measures 49 inches height. 16 inches width and 26 1/2 inches depth. The small drawers on the inside measure about 5 1/2 width by 24 inches depth. The larger drawers measure inside about 12 x 24 inches. There's a piece of wood missing off corner ... moreand splitting of drawer. Doesn't close completely. But that might be the wrong row for it or not. Darkening of wood from age, scratching, dust, etc. All the things you see with these old pieces that have been stored for a long time. ANTIQUE/ VINTAGE 9 DRAWER 3" X 5" INDEX/ FILE CABINET- TIGER OAK* Up for sale is this very nice nine drawer index card file cabinet. This is a very nice quality card cabinet and is made from tiger oak. It is missing it's handles as you can see in the pictures but does have some of the label holders above where the handles go. The cabinet is a dark stained tiger oak. The cabinet is in good shape for it's age and has a few nicks. Dings and scrapes on it as well as a stain on the top left side as you can see in the pictures. Each drawer has a little wooden slide to hold the cards. On the slides it says"THE GLOBE CARD INDEX FILE" and"Patented Aril 13th, 1897, Nov. 21st, 1899 and May 22nd, 1900" We're not sure of the age of this item but we'd bet that this dates from the very early 1900's. It's ... morein great shape for an item of it's age but it does need to be cleaned. The cabinet measures 20.5" W x 17" D x 14.24" H. The inside of the drawers will hold a 3" x 5" card horizontally. The joints of the drawers are mortised as you can see in the last pictures. The cabinet weighs 45 lbs. which is a testament to it's quality. It's a very interesting piece! VINTAGE ANTIQUE OAK WOOD WOODEN 4 DRAWER LIBRARY INDEX CARD FILE CASE CABINET. MEASURES 15 1/2' BY 15 1/2' AND STANDS 11' TALL. It carries a tag on the top that says. SHAW WALKER CHICAGO, MUSKEGON, NEW YORK. Also marked Made in U.S.A, and it is wonderful, as I think you can see from the pictures. All hardware is present and secure, and all metal, interior slides are in fine, working order. I have pictured the cabinet from all sides for you to see, including the dovetailed drawers. The inside drawer measurement is 6 3/4' wide outside to outside, and it weighs in at over 23 pounds.
