I hauled this out of the basement of an old home, and it is showing some age ... morewear, most notably with a couple slices out of drawer faces. There is slight pull away of the dovetailing on the bottom, but I think you could probably carefully tap it back into place. The previous owner did a very slap-up job of putting a dark stain on it, so the finish is somewhat inconsistent, you can see the oak in places inside, and there are faint watermarks on top, but I honestly love the look and character of this piece, and it's completely solid and functional. All four metal sliders are still inside, though they are a little stiff/rusty. Measures about 16" x 13 1/2" x 9 1/2".

Up for a no reserve auction and for your consideration is this amazing little antique oak cabinet. I think it may be a salesman's sample. The dimensions are 10" wide by 9-1/2" high by 6-1/2 deep. It is construct ed jus t like a full size cabinet would be. Has 4 brass pulls with great patina and one iron pull. It's in excellent condition. The top 1/4" lips of two of the drawer fronts were broken off many years ago but I think this adds to it's character. It could be used for dolls. Jewelry. I think this antique oak 4 drawer Macey file cabinet is in very good vintage condition. It still retains the majority of the original dark oak finish. It is a bit scratchy on the top and has a few spots but I would leave it as is. I think a bit of scratch cover and a waxing would be sufficient to make it home ready. The interior of the cabinet and drawers are very clean for a vintage item. If you like to refinish items to a light oak look it would refinish nicely. It does have the original Macey Decal of Grand Rapids Mich. and all of the drawers have the original directional decals as well. The hardware is mission style so it would go well with arts and crafts furniture. It has a tiny seperation halfway up one side that is only about a 16th of an inch wide and causes no structurally concerns. There are many small issues with wood corners and trim pieces but the unit as a package is very nice. It measures overall at 58” tall x 33” wide x 26” deep including the drawer handles. There are four original pull rods and one replaced escutcheon. I'm guessing Globe-Wernicke though it is not marked. Howdy. This wonderful two drawer quarter sawn oak file cabinet measures 15 inches tall by 13 inches wide by 20 inches deep. What separates this piece from other similar cabinets are the beautiful and original Chicago advertising marks. The top reads"Parker. Thomas, Tucker Paper Co. Chicago" and the bottom reads"Profit Producing Printing Papers" inside a winged crest. The cabinet is in excellent condition and the drawers open and close smoothly. There is a small strip of white paint on one side. A small chip underneath the bottom drawer on the right, and areas of light wear. The inside of each drawer is clean and undamaged.

From the early 1900s, there ARE 4 drawers, doors all slide IN AND out smoothly. Not real heavy about 80 lbs. Measures 52 1/2 inches high, is 16 1/2 inches across and is 25 inches deep. The finish is excellent, with just slight scuffs, and scratches, as would be expected for a old cabinet. Top is in remarkably great condition. Back bottom veneer is worn some as shown, but very fixable if it is important to you. Top drawer brown rectangular card holder is a replacement. All Bakalite pulls. VERY RARE MACEY ONE PIECE OAK FILE FILING CABINET WOW!!
FOLKS, It's been 3 years since we been lucky enough to have a"one piece" MACEY Tiger Oak File with interchangeable sections of various file styles. The grain pattern of the tiger oak are awesome. The finish has a medium rich honey hue. I believe this is an early model because the cuts of the solid tiger appear a little thicker than others we've had. There are two sections with two document holders with compression panels. The other two sections each have rare filing drawers measuring from the inside 11 1/4" wide. 4 3/4" high and 17 1/2" deep with compression panels also. Overall dimensions of this treasure are 15" wide. 21" deep and 55" high. Just remove the screw on the top of each section and you can change where the sections go for your preference! The the solid brass hardware is original ... moreand is all there. The"Macey" decal is top and center and a bit faded from over 100 year of use. Professionally palleted crating. It appears to have a locking mechanism for the bottom right drawer. However, the key is missing. It also appears to have been partially restored, as the finish has been stripped and cleaned. It retains its original brass hardware, however, the bottom screws on each handle are missing. These however, could likely be easily replaced. Antique Vintage Library Bureau Sole Makers 4-Drawer Wood Oak File Cabinet
For auction is one beautiful vintage 4-drawer quarter-sawn oak file cabinet from the early 1900s. It is in fantastic original condition. The finish is original and has only minor nicks and scratches. The brass hardware retains its original patina. And all hardware is accounted for. Each drawer has a dark green metal adjustable divider inside, and the top drawer has the original LBSM patent decal inside the drawer face. All metal glides operate smoothly. The finish is slightly lighter inside the label holders. There is also a slightly darker area on the top towards the front left of the cabinet(see photo) There is only one side panel. But it is reversible, so assuming the file cabinet is placed with one side against a wall, you can use the side panel on whichever side faces the room. These cabinets were made to screw together in rows, so you ... morecan also attach it to an existing LBSM file cabinet of the same size and vintage. There is a date stamp on the inside(JUN 15 1922) which I assume is the date of manufacture. There is also an inventory number(25U59) punched into the wood on the upper left hand corner on the front of the frame. For some reason there is no back on this unit. It looks like it may have been removed at some point to accommodate an installation into somewhere. The inside drawers are clean and open as they should. The rods are missing but the dividing blocks are still present. All the external brass hardware is in excellent condition.
