A set of keys is included. It's a stunning piece with many interesting details, and we receive many compliments, but need to downsize. We believe this piece is from the early 1900's; it was purchased years ago from a local antiques dealer who specialized in importing English antiques. Measurements: Combined height is 8 Ft. An attractive. Good quality'Jacobethan' style reproduction carved oak court cupboard/ sideboard. Resting on stile legs, the lower section has two cupboard doors with carved arches opening onto a shelved interiorwith two drawers above. The drawers have carved fronts and are constructed with dovetailed joints. The left hand drawer is felt lined for cutlery. Rising above these, the upper section comprises two cupboard doors, again with carved arches to the front and opening onto a shelved interior, flanked by two bulbous'cup and cover' supports, with carved frieze above. Note that because of the design these doors do not open right out to 90 degrees as can be seen in the pictures below. It has been made out of solid oak with mahogany cross banding which is a wonderful rich colour and a fantastic patina. Which can only be gained through age. The cupboard would look fantastic in any room you choose to hang it in. The corner cupboard has two bow fronted doors which is complete with it's original lock(which has been photographed separately) and key which is fully working. There is a lovely brass escutcheon to each ... moreof the doors. The doors have lovely mahogany cross banded with lovely shaped detailing to the corners of the doors which sets them off beautifully. The doors open to reveal three shelves. The left door is held in place by a superb original hook. The top is finished off superbly with a nicely shaped cornice and there is a lovely shaped molding to the base. The front to this cupboard is wonderful. From the photographs you can see just how stunning the patina is. DIMENSIONS: The approximate dimensions are: 25.25 inches(measured from corner to corner) 17.25 inches along wall(this is the distance it would come out along the wall measured from the corner) 39.5 inches high. This is a Vintage Wilson Oak Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet. It measures 70" tall x 41" wide x 25 1/2" deep. It is missing the flour sifter. All of the drawers and doors work well. The roll down door needs a little coaxing to go up and down and could use some TLC to make it work well. It has all of the original pulls. Hinges, latches and the original stained glass panels. The sliding pull out enamel tabletop is well worn having lost most of it's shine but only has a few minor chips. Some of the wood veneer has separated as shown in the photos. Look closely at the sides and door and you will see that they have the same type of finish. This is the way it was made and is not wear of fading to the finish. The cabinet is quite a bit darker overall in real fife compared to the pictures. It will have some blemishes to the finish(light or dark spots or marks) nicks. Here is an absolutely fabulous early to mid-19th century heavy carved oak sideboard with hutch top in the tradition of a Welsh dresser with beautiful dragon motif carvings on the doors. A lovely form, hand dovetailed drawers and detailed carving on all edges and trim including dentition on three sides around the top. It has small cabinets behind the ornately carved dragon doors in the hutch section as well as display shelves, and has drawers across the top with more open cabinet space below in the base section, which is where you see the traditionally older construction front to back planking across the bottom. A fabulous find is this antique solid quartersawn and straight sawn oak cabinet with handsome designs of inlay on the door and around the drawers. Two of the three doors are false. However, the drawer area encompasses the entire area under the main cabinet and the bottom. The door has a fantastic inlaid shell design. The classic canted corners help display how beautiful the patina is on this old cabinet. The door to the inside is paneled and is chamfered on the inside. There are several shelves. Height to the top = 42" Width across the front = 24 3/4" Depth is 19" in the middle and 20 1/2" on each rear side. Canted corners are 4" each. Area under front of cabinet is 1 3/4" This corner cabinet as always beena corner cabinet and built as such versus being a hanging corner cabinet made from the top of a standing ... morecabinet. It is in very good and ready to hang condition. There have been a repairs on this cabinet.some older than others.the very top left piece of molding has been replaced as well as the molding on the base on the left. The middle knob is not original and the shell has had a few additions due to a very small amount of inlay loss. Quality and time tested craftsmanship helps make this cabinet sweet.
