English oak sideboard or serving cupboard circa. 1810. Rustic. With two apron drawers over two blind cupboard doors, on bracket feet. Simple but elegant. The photos show the front. Top, the inside of a drawer, and the inside of the two doors. Measures 51" wide by 21.5" deep by 38" high. Weight estimated at 130 lb. Provenance unknown. It has been in the family for 20+ years. This cupboard was imported from Europe. It looks like it is oak. Antique OAK FARM Wardrobe Chest 1900 EUROPE 85" high Measures 85 x 64 x 23 It is a woodwork project but when finished. People will love it! The two sides need the work. At the bottom(see Pictures) Shoot not be a too big of a project it you are handy. The sIde that faces the wall. I have the horizontals were the wood goes in, not the vertical wood, but that would be a cheap replacement. Shipping depends on the miles. But I think this is a good indication when you are not too far. This cupboard needs to be screwed from the side. Those screws are missing. Shipping is of course base on miles.

This is an AUTHENTIC DRUG STORE MEDICINE CABiNET. That comes from a defunct Drug Store in Lorain(near Cleveland) Ohio. Oak. With a dark stain. 2-Doors. With original BRASS latches. Bottom door does stick. 2 Drawers on very bottom. Inside the main cabinet. There are multi shelves, adjustable with original wooden wedges that fit into the angled grooves on both sides of the cabinet. Cabinest was made this way so the druggist could easily adjust the shelves for the many, vaired, heights of bottles and jars that he kept in the cabinet. There is a noticeable odor of MEDIcINE when you open the door. It is not objectionable. But it is there. NOT musty, but medicine-y. I think it smells sort of like an old LINIMENT. There are a few minor bumps and scrapes as shown in the pics. The very top has some light"surface" graffiti. See pics. I say surface because they are not deep and could be removed with light sanding. Probably some naughty church boys from the past. The average person cannot see the top when standing in front of the piece. I am 6' 2" and I cannot see these marks without standing on a stool. I believe there may have originally been two additional carvings on the two vertical boards toward the back on each side. I can't say for sure. But there be appears to be some light wear in these locations. The piece is signed in the back I believe M.I. Belgium B.G.E. The only reference I could find to this signature is MI Belgium Ministre which published some religious books. The front opens and the back is on hinges so both sides open. From auction records. The larger than average proportions indicate that this press cupboard was made for a grand and wealthy household. Beds and press cupboards tended to be the most important and valuable items of household furniture and this cupboard would have been placed in the banqueting hall and used for storage of drinking cups and other vessels. It is increasingly rare to find an early English court press cupboard which has not been subjected to the elaborate carving that the Victorians frequently added to make their inherited furniture more fashionable. With four square doors and two drawers seem enjoy a special popularity in the first decades of the 18th century. An antique Arts& Crafts style Cabinet with Shelves. We are pleased to present this antique Arts& Crafts/ Mission style Cabinet for your consideration. From a local estate. It is made of Oak wood, and features four(4) adjustable shelves on the inside. It has a single door on the front, with a decorative wooden lattice. The door is designed to hold a sheet of glass, but the glass is missing. A working lock with key is installed on the door to secure the contents of the Cabinet. The Cabinet measures 55-7/8 inches high. 28-1/2 inches wide, and 13-1/8 inches deep. It weighs 64 pounds. There is a label on the back with places for names of the different workers who performed the various assembly steps, but the names are unreadable(see close up picture) Some larger painted numbers are found on the back, and there is the number 252 impressed ... moreinto the wood towards the top of the back. Kitchen Cupboard Top Hoosier Top Solid Oak
I have for sale a really nice solid oak kitchen cupboard top. I do not believe this was a Hoosier top per say as there is no place for spices or flour bin. It was meant for dishes as both shelves have the plate groove. The bottom was already gone by the time I purchased this and there is no evidence on the bottom that legs were ever present. I have had this sitting on smaller dressers and small drop leaf tables which both worked and looked good together. In the kitchen the drop leaf created an extra work area and in the dining room a 3 drawer dresser created a china cabinet effect. With the proper supports this could probably be wall mounted if you wanted. The cabinet top. Bottom, sides, shelves and doors are made of solid golden oak boards. No veneer to this piece. I am fairly certain that the back is original and is oak grained as well. ... moreThis cupboard is a great size for a smaller apartment or kitchen. Not so large it would be hard to place it, but not so small that it is not functional. It measures 36 inches(0.91 meters) across the front, 31 1/2 inches(0.8 meters) high and 12 inches(30.48cm) deep. The glass in the doors are 10 inches(25.4cm) by 11 inches(27.9cm) The height of the top and bottom shelves is 8 1/2 inches(21.59cm) and the middle shelf is a generous 11 1/2 inches(29.21cm) in height which gives plenty of room to stand your favorite plates. The knobs of the doors are solid oak as well and have a very intricate design carved into them giving it a splash of art deco to offset the straight heaviness of the cabinet itself. The screw hole on the back of the knob on the right, as you face the cabinet, is slowly striping out and will need attention before long. Some fill them with toothpicks others with wood glue or epoxy. I was not in and out of it that much so it did not bother me much. I just opened the left side first.
