2 pc Oak Step Back Mercantile/General Store/Apothecary Cupboard
Wonderful late 19th century early 20th century cabinet. This came out of a beautiful Meadville. PA estate. Step back cabinet is just under 8"L(95" and it's 85 5/8"H. The base is 25 3/4"D and 33 1/2"H. The top piece is 17 1/4"D. All doors are fully functional and slide on inset wheels/rollers on a track. The glass in upper doors appear to be original because the glass is wavy. The one side of the cabinet is finished nicely in raised panel oak. Other end must have abutted a wall because it's not finished in oak. All nine drawers are fronted in oak but the cavities are galvanized steel with wood on the back. The back of the cabinet is finished in sheet metal. This is a beautiful piece and could be used together or because the top piece is finished so nicely on the bottom and top you could separate it and ... moreuse the top piece as a bookshelf and the bottom piece as a kitchen island. All shelves and doors disassemble for easy transport. It is definitely a piece of local history and would look great in your home. Wonderful Queen Anne Victorian oak cupboard. Salvaged from Jackson, Michigan. Made with high quality workmanship as the home had some of the finest details I have ever seen. City of Jackson has great homes as one of the wealthiest men in the area brought European craftsmen to the city to build for him. Measures 5'2" wide, and 7'1" high including the molding at the top. Two arched windows in the cabinet door taper down to a third arch that is open with an ornate oak shelf with oak panels at the rear. In the home was built originally with the staircase behind it. Inside the glass the back of the cabinet is oak bead board. Below the two windows is a shelf that is rounded on each side. Beneath a wide drawer with two brass, square, cup pulls. Quarter Sawn Oak Linen Press Cupboard Sideboard
Listed for sale is this beautiful quarter sawn oak antique cabinet. Not sure what to call the style exactly. I have owned the item for 15 years and I bought it from an antique dealer in Tulsa. Ok. I was told it was from around 1860 and came out of a European church and held sacrament items and robes. Since, I have heard numerous other descriptions. We loved it, and have always called it our sideboard. I have tried to catch all the details in the pictures, if you look you will notice every carving is different, it had to be hand carved. All the dovetails look to be hand cut. I consider the piece to be in great condition. There is patina and character from years of enjoyment, but no structural issues, guaranteed. Have all the keys to the locks, and all the locks are supposed to be the original scroll locks. I would love to keep it, however, ... moreit is too big for our new location. I have never had it refinished, or ever put any wax on it. We have always kept it oiled regularly to keep the wood from drying out and splitting. Offering for sale is this painted Vintage Oak Hoosier Cabinet in good overall condition. The base measures 32 1/2" tall x 40 1/2" wide x 27 1/2" deep. The top measures 37 1/4" tall x 40 1/2" wide x 11 3/4" deep. The top section detaches easily with a few screws. Take a look at the pictures. The Porcelain shows wear. The slag glass looks in great condition. The roll is complete and in one piece. When I received this cabinet the roll was stuck up inside the key way. When this cabinet sells I will use some paste wax and try to get the roll in sliding condition. There are some small steel brackets that are attached to the widest drawer and the bread drawer top does not look to be original and is not attached. It has a moulded cornice above two cupboard doors with a key and working lock. The doors have raised fielded panels with moulded edges and the interior has the original oak back boards with oak pegs(a hanging rail has been fitted at a later date. The lower section has a moulded edge above three working and three dummy drawers at the top which hide the inside recess. This 250 year old antique is full of character and charm with the usual marks from age and use but has a wonderful. Dark oak, finish with good patina and is in good condition. This good sideboard full of character has a solid moulded edge top over a carved frieze and fielded carved panel doors being raised on bracket feet. Small Antique Arts & Crafts Carved Oak Wall Cabinet Mini Cupboard & Brass Label
Original old small oak wall cabinet(or. Very tiny cupboard) measuring 16-1/2" wide, 20" tall and about 6-1/4" deep. It looks very good over-all, is tight and strong, hinges are good and tight, has original porcelain pull, it has a few"extra" holes bored at the back but nothing significant. Looks like it may originally have had a keyed lock- the inside brass portion of the lock is still intact. The doors close nicely and notice the very sweet brass latch(it still works! on the left-inside door(photo. The last photo shows one side of the back with its small brass hanger which matches the opposite side for ease in slipping over screw heads.
