This is an antique French Vernis Martin painted"music cabinet" This piece is mid-late 19th century(1870s-1890s) and it carries extremely low 518 serial number. This piece is a survivor. But still a lot of antique tor true antiques lover. This is unrestored and worn from over 200 years of usage piece. It preserved a lot of its original features, the beautiful and original ormolu hardware along the beveled edge top, corners, front legs and braided ormolu accents on cabinet doors. It does have original keys however the key is slightly bent. There is one original screw missing from the keyhole cover. Please note the paint condition on each side. Tindale Music Cabinet in Mahogany
Item: Up for auction is this Mahogany Tindale Music Cabinet. The cabinet is all original and is in as found condition. Consequently. There are some minor issues that are captured in the photos. There are some dents to the top and a small sliver off on the back of the top above the serial number. The right front foot has a chip missing, and does one of the back legs. Also the base of the knob to the upper door has a chip out. There are numerous places where the finish is missing or imperfect probably due to age and usage. Overall this is an amazing piece of American made furniture that dates back to the turn of the century. It stands 52 inches tall, is 18.5 inches wide, and is 13 inches deep. There are 20 drawers, all with the original knobs. They were imprinted with numbers, must most have worn off over time. The top 16 drawers are 1.25 inches ... moretall and the bottom 4 drawers are about 2.25 inches tall. If interested, I have additional photos. Pricing: I do not use reserve pricing. I will establish what I think is a fair starting price for each item. That way potential buyers can make a choice to pursue the item or not. And won't be placed in a position of having to guess the"magical" reserve number in my head. Packing: I pack all items myself. I take care to assure the item arrives safely. Liberty Music Shops AM Radio in marvelous Asian-themed wood cabinet
Growing up in the Midwest. I didn't know this brand until a search revealed that several Liberty Music Shops existed in New York City from the 30's through perhaps the 60's and that they appeared to be a significant player in recording and promoting many early jazz recordings. This radio is the only instance of the brand I've ever seen and was probably an effort by that music store chain to market their own private label radio. This is a five tube AM radio presented in a charming Oriental design two door wood cabinet. The graphics on each side and especially on the front doors are sharp and sure to grab the attention of any viewer. The cabinet does have a number of blemishes consistent with its age. Though none detract from the overall beauty of the set. The top surface had considerable wear and it has been repainted in flat ... moreblack and then the entire radio finished with clear satin lacquer. The electronics have been restored with all paper and electrolytic capacitors replaced. All tubes checked and replaced if performing below specs, the controls cleaned and lubricated, and the set aligned. The result is sensitive reception across the AM band with excellent volume and tone. The loop antenna is in place, attached to the back panel. The speaker is a replacement. I cannot locate any mention of the radio or its schematic on the web. So I guess it does qualify as a rare reminder of the role that the Liberty Music Shops played in the New York music scene. The radio measures about 11" W x 8" H x 6" D and weighs about 6 lbs. unpacked. It will be safely packed and quickly sent by FedEx Ground. I charge only the expected shipping cost with insurance. Phonograph Cabinet that has been modified to house a vM-Voice of the Music record player and a Harmon/Kardan Prelude stereo/speaker component. The cabinet itself is mahogany and is absolutely beautiful. Other than some very minor wear, this piece glows and all the hardware that is present is in excellent condition. There is no crank or horn as depicted because it has been modified so there is an empty space where that was located. Imported antique hand carved oak music cabinet
This cabinet is 4'6" wide. 5'6" tall, 20" deep. The large opening on top has a 32" TV(does not convey) The two doors when closed, open out and then slide back alongside the side of the cabinet. It has two 4" high drawers under the TV opening and then another large opening underneath with shelves. That door slides up and then slides back underneath the drawers. The carvings on the top doors are ladies dancing around a maypole and the other door has revelers playing instruments. The bottom door has a mandolin and guitar. I think. This cabinet was brought to the US by my family many years ago and is in very good condition. It has a small chip on one side which can easily be filled in. This beautiful cabinet appears to have its rich original finish. The original wood pulls on the drawer with period dove-tailed ends, and also has hidden casters intact on the base with a chamfered back. The lock is intact on the door but the key provided just aids in opening the door and does not work the lock. This is a 19th(told) century French music cabinet. It has murals painted on all 3 sides and is in really great condition for the age. The cabinet opens up to reveal shelves for sheet music originally but could be used for a wide array of items today! The cabinet is in good shape. Appears to be mahogany or cherry maybe. The condition of this cabinet is very good indicating it was well cared for over the years. It measures 40 inches in height. 21 inches in width, and 14-1/2 inches in depth. Vintage. Original, mid-century, Eames-era(1950s) custom retro-fitted Voice of Music(VoM) walnut hi-fi stereo cabinet; the original record player mechanism in this cabinet was damaged and irrepairable and thus removed; the cabinet was then gutted of all the old circuitry, professionally refinished and modified to accommodate a more contemporary system, fitting a turntable on top(as pictured) along with a receiver, amplifier and CD player in the lower cabinet. The cabinet currently has a power bar wired inside the cabinet which is turned on/off by the amazingly-designed functional switch on the front, which has a soft ruby red LED glow when turned on. If the buyer decides to remove the existing power bar and wiring set-up, that can easily be done with only minimal effort. The two shelves in the lower cabinet are a very nice, heavy perforated ... moremetal screens which have been clear-coated.
