Condition: Used Location: Chicago, United States I’m not sure how old this piece is? I think it’s early 1900’s possibly late 1800’s. There is a number on the back 6180, it is the only identifying mark ... moreon the piece, I have no idea what it signify’s. The piece belonged to my grandfather and then my father. There are a couple of dings on the corners from moving it house to house. I’m not sure if the front panel is painted or has inlay, it locks, which was a nice safety feature when my daughter was young. I have no expertise when it comes to antiques. My mother inherited it and it stood for over 50 years in the corner of what is now known as The Weir Farm National Historic Site, a part of our National Parks System and my family home. The three legs have a curved front shelf as stretcher. The curio is ornamented with brass mounts and a top gallery. Includes the brass escutcheon and the lock, no key.
