3 DAY AUCTION! Please see pick up policy below before bidding. Vintage card catalog style cabinet in a light maple color. All wood construction including the drawers. No cheap plastic drawers here. Brushed silver tone pulls. Each unit is made up of three removable sections. Each section measure 13” tall. Total unit measures 57” tall X 33” wide X 17” deep. Now to the different part. While it looks like a card catalog unit, it’s actually made to hold 2” slides. There is a maple divider strip running the length of each drawer. See pics. Each slot has a removable separator(blue) that can be moved to accommodate longer items or just for more space. Each drawer can be converted to hold the customary 3X5 library card by removing the wooden strip. If you have rudimentary woodworking skills you can do it. Indiana was a turn of the century cabinet company that made filing cabinets of assorted shapes and sizes This is a very solid piece of craftsmanship. Dovetailed joints and very rich rustic looking wood and hardware. There are some scratches on it but it only to me adds to the character. I am not certain the wood it is made from. When researching it I get a few different answers so I will just say it is a very solid piece of wood. 25LBS. It in 15 1/2 deep. 13 1/2 wide, 9 3/4 tall. Very nice piece for display. Ive seen a couple used as recipe holders.

You are looking at a vintage 15 drawer library card catalog cabinet. It is a solid well built piece that has tons of repurposing possibilities! It has a walnut finish. The top is walnut veneer, which has some chipping and the one side has some marks that look like a child's doodling. The top does lift off and the main cabinet lifts off the legs so transporting will not be difficult. It measures 33 1/2" in length 17 1/4" wide 39 1/2" tall. I believe it was made in the 1970's. Large 90 Drawer Vintage Oak Library Card Catalog File Cabinet- 53" X 34" X 18" Vintage Oak Card Catalog File Cabinet This listing is for a 90 drawer vintage library card catalog file. The cabinet is constructed of quarter sawn oak and the individual drawers have oak fronts and(I think) maple bottoms/sides. The drawers are made with dovetailed construction. The previous owner put a removeable masonite bottom on almost all drawers which was more suitable than the metal slides for dividers for storing small items(see photos of a few different drawers. A couple of the drawers have adjustable dividers. Most are plain. All of the hardware is present with the exception of one drawer pull. The back is open but the drawers have stops and they will not push through. If the unit goes against a wall. A back would not be necessary. The ... morecabinet measures 53" tall X 33-1/2" wide X 18" deep. I'm told that the weight is over 300 lbs. The drawers are about 16" deep. 5" wide, and 2-5/16" high(with the masonite inserts, the height becomes 2-1/8" The drawer facea are 5-3/4" X 2-1/2" The drawers all slide easily. It is in good solid condition and can be easily used as is, but it might also be a potential candidate for a restoration job. I have taken a number of photos, so please take a close look. Up for auction is this really nice vintage library card cabinet by Globe Wernicke from Cincinnati.It is a 2 drawer unit. I don't know when it was produced. It still has a paper label on the inside of the cabinet that has the makers name and the stain number. The drawers have dovetails. The cabinet does not. There is a small strip of the veneer missing on the back panel of the cabinet at the bottom approx. 1/2' wide see photo no. 5. It also still has the catalog brass medallion on the side see photo no. 6. It has been refinished at 1 time or another. But seems to still be it's original color. This extraordinary piece comes from the Department of interior. The 72 drawers are fitted with multi-label solid brass hardware. The drawer fronts are solid maple with plastic card holders. The bottom two rows of drawers have canted fronts to make reading the contents easier when using the cabinet. There are nicks on 3 of the top corners and 2 of the bottom corners as shown in the pictures. All of the rods and pulls are present and original. The black clasps on the bottom doors are replacements. Stands 60 inches tall. Is 40 inches wide and is 16 inches deep. The great thing about this file is that the oak drawers are pretty much solid on the bottoms so if you wanted to remove the rods it would make it a lot more usable for holding other items.
