ANTIQUE HANGING CORNER CUPBOARD 1800’S OLD HANGING CORNER CUPBOARDS ARE LOTS HARDER TO FIND THAN OLD CORNER CUPBOARDS AND THIS ONE IS NICE. Simple molding on top and straight sides that curve at the bottom elevating it so that if you should choose to set it on the floor would serve as legs and hung on the wall in a corner they would display the simple architectural lines of the cupboard. Top and back are unpainted wood that tells the age of this sweet piece. Exterior is painted old reddish color with a turquoise interior and underside. There appears to b white paint under th e interior paint. Paint was done a long time ago. Not original to the period. There is a hole at each level on either side. And one in the center back for hanging purposes. These holes appear to be original. At one time there possibly was a door that covered this cupboard ... morebut was likely removed to use to display items. A slight indentation on the right side is tell tale of a door that is likely to have covered the opening of this cupboard. A nice 1700"s to early 1800's dense yellow pine corner cupboard. It has two long full length door's with raised panels. Doors are mortised and the hinges are reset. It retains some red wash and some black trim color with traces of some white. The interior is fitted with 5 shelves and retains a nice oxidized color. The back of the cupboard boasts over 50 large rosette nails and retains a oxidized color. Right top wood has some splitting and roughness. There are some nail holes and overall shows some wear. Dimensions are 44 1/4 inches across and 73 1/2 inches high. You can leave the finish as is or repaint to your taste. You are welcome to examine this on site. Look at the pictures to see condition. There is no reserve on this charming antique miniature corner cupboard. We are pleased to present this miniature French cupboard for your consideration. It is circa 1850 and is a pure pleasure to look at. The top has scalloped sides and 2 gently curved shelves. On the bottom we have two doors that echo the scallops from above. There is a wood inlay on all four panels across the bottom showing a diamond pattern with a starburst center. It still has the original lock. Key and escutcheons as well as the original hook on the inside that holds the left door closed. The sides end in little French feet. The left door seems to be stuck shut and we do not want to force it open. This is an absolutely charming piece of small furniture measuring only 28 ¾” tall and 14 ¾” across the front. For your consideration. A gorgeous antique corner cupboard. With raised panel door, and antique brass hardware. A beautiful antique. In as-found condition, ready for you to put in your home! I believe this cupboard to be made of pine. It is 28.5” high. 14.5” deep, and 28.25” wide at the widest point(the top corners) The back of the cupboard is open. So your gorgeous wall color will show through. The two interior shelves are painted white. The outside of the cupboard is natural with protective coat on it. The patina on this is just lovely. There is some wear to the bottom left corner. And the back piece is a bit separated from the main piece(see pictures) Some extra nails/screws and general tightening up will address these issues. Crafted during the middle of the 19th Century, probably around 1840-60, the piece exudes a lack of formality that is incredibly charming. Built to last many lifetimes, the construction of the cupboard is above reproach in every way: each door panel is a solid plank of yellow pine, deeply chamfered along the interior edges to rest inside the mitered door frames; these swing on large iron hinges, all fully original, revealing a well shelved interior retaining an early red painted ... moresurface. Large wrought iron nails are affixed in neat rows across the backboards and the sides of the case; this piece would originally have been painted, this paint later removed to show the wonderful heart pine woods, likely to allow the piece to more harmoniously blend with hardwood floors or exposed beams. Original turned knobs still operate both doors, though shrinkage over the years has resulted in a tight fit in the base doors- note how a worn"hole" in the bottom edge of the lower right door has grown from the need to pull the door open with more than just the knob. A very charming corner cupboard from the Georgian era. Featuring a diamond and inset circular mirror in brass and glass. This is an ideal bathroom cabinet to keep all the smaller items or as a decorative and yet functional piece in any other room. It has been made out of solid oak with mahogany cross banding which is a wonderful rich colour and a fantastic patina. Which can only be gained through age. The cupboard would look fantastic in any room you choose to hang it in. The corner cupboard has two bow fronted doors which is complete with it's original lock(which has been photographed separately) and key which is fully working. There is a lovely brass escutcheon to each ... moreof the doors. The doors have lovely mahogany cross banded with lovely shaped detailing to the corners of the doors which sets them off beautifully. The doors open to reveal three shelves. The left door is held in place by a superb original hook. The top is finished off superbly with a nicely shaped cornice and there is a lovely shaped molding to the base. The front to this cupboard is wonderful. From the photographs you can see just how stunning the patina is. DIMENSIONS: The approximate dimensions are: 25.25 inches(measured from corner to corner) 17.25 inches along wall(this is the distance it would come out along the wall measured from the corner) 39.5 inches high. Also the approximate distance between the shelves going from top to bottom is: top 7 inches. 2nd 7.5 inches, 3rd 9 and bottom 12 inches. As can be seen from the above dimensions this corner cupboard is of lovely proportions. AGE: The corner cupboard is GEORGE III and dates to circa 1780/ 1800. Selling a gorgeous antique hanging corner cupboard. Complete with original key and lock. I believe this is walnut. Beautiful boards, all 1/2" thick with decorative cut edges on top, bottom, and on the sides. Cupboard door features a recessed panel with tongue-and-groove construction; brass keyhole cover, lock plate, and hinges; interior shelf gives two levels of storage inside, plus outside storage on the top; holes for wall mount present in each back panel. Decorative details include upper, lower, and side fretwork. Circa mid-to-late 19th century. This cupboard is unmarked and in very good. Pre-owned condition. Country Pine Corner Cabinet Glass Top Hutch Cupboard
Charming pine country style corner cabinet. The top half has glass double doors covering a carved edge shelf and behind the doors tiny hearts have been carved into the woodwork. The entire piece is topped with stately crown molding. Below the cabinet are two small drawers. Perfect for storing odds and ends. Each drawer has a wooden knob and sturdy dovetail joint construction. The lower cabinet also has double drawers with pointed arch panelling that mimics the glass doors above. EARLY 19th CENTURY PRIMITIVE PENNSYLVANIA PINE LARGE CORNER CUPBOARD
Estate found this fall. Is this large early 19th century Pennsylvania Pine 2 piece Corner cupboard. This cupboard was painted sometime in it's life and was stripped by someone. There is still some white paint on the inside of the bottom doors, which were hand chamfered. The hardware is very early and solid brass, and looks like there were changes in the past, by the holes that do not match up. This is the condition that the cupboard was found. It has really old glass with bubbles and flaws in it, and has hand forged nails. The top inside was painted red by someone, and has unusual shaped shelves, while the bottom is still white inside. This is a large corner cupboard with measurements of 47 inches wide by 7 ft 7" tall and 29 inches deep to the corner trim. A fabulous find is this antique solid quartersawn and straight sawn oak cabinet with handsome designs of inlay on the door and around the drawers. Two of the three doors are false. However, the drawer area encompasses the entire area under the main cabinet and the bottom. The door has a fantastic inlaid shell design. The classic canted corners help display how beautiful the patina is on this old cabinet. The door to the inside is paneled and is chamfered on the inside. There are several shelves. Height to the top = 42" Width across the front = 24 3/4" Depth is 19" in the middle and 20 1/2" on each rear side. Canted corners are 4" each. Antique Pennsylvania Country Federal Corner Cabinet Cupboard Poplar Glass c 1800
Wonderful antique Pennsylvania Country Federal corner cabinet or cupboard. This cabinet is in two pieces with an upper cabinet crowned by a molded cornice and a door with twelve glazed panes. The interior of the upper cabinet has been painted a lovely soft turquoise blue and has four shelves. Each with ridges to allow for upright display of plates, bowls and platters. The lower section of the cabinet features a single drawer with wooden knobs and a diamond-shaped brass key surround. Below that are two paneled wooden doors with brass knobs, enclosing a two-shelf storage area. The apron has been fret carved in a decorative scalloped design. The entire cabinet is made from poplar wood and has a beautiful finish that shows signs of age but is probably not original to the piece. This cupboard likely dates from the early 1800's. Stunning wall-hanging corner cabinet inlaid with the Prince of Wales feather motif on each door. There is other marquetry detail as shown in the photos. It has one faux lock and one working lock both with inlays as shown and a key. There is a crack in the inlay under the lock. I believe that the cabinet is made of oak but I am not an expert. The exterior is in very good condition. The interior shows signs of wear. Marks etc. The interior also has red paper on the back. I'm not sure if this is meant to be there or if someone has wallpapered it at some point.
