Vintage Antique Art Deco Art Nouveau stool seat bench furniture
This is a Wonderful Old Piece. I am not sure if it would be considered Art Nouveau or Art Deco. My best guess as to age would be 1910-1930. The base appears to be cast iron and it is a heavy/sturdy piece. It is 19" high from the floor to the top of the piece. From the floor to the top of the cushion. It is 16& 1/2" It is 19" Long by 13" Wide. I do not know the history of this piece so cannot say if it has been around pets or smoke. I consider it to be in vey good condition however there is some paint loss/fading that does not affect the overall good looks of this Unique piece. The Metal is a shade of Green with Ivory. Another one of my estate sale Relics. The spindles are Black walnut.Estate fresh,and need to be refinished. The spindles don't have a finish left on them anymore. I think they would look really nice sanded,and finished with a nice dark stain with a laquer coating. There are eight spindles and they measure 23 3/4in long x 1 1/4in at the top,and 3/8ths inches at the bottom. The 23 3/4in measurement is without the dowl turning at the top. The dowl turning adds 3/4inches to the overall length,and is approx 5/8ths inches wide. total overall lenght with the dowl is 24 1/2inches. Beautiful mahogany sideboard buffet. Two middle drawers. Cabinet door each side. Made by Limbert, Holland, MI, this is Art Deco Style. See close ups of carved legs and brass cabinet fixture. I purchased this 20 years ago from older couple in Kansas City. I think they were original owners. This is a'show piece' I kept my mother's china in the drawers.
