Underneath the top ledge are unusual oak trim with heart style carvings on all three sides. Condition: Used Location: Des Moines, United States This tall antique oak file-drawer cabinet with flat file drawers dates to sometime between the late 1800s to the first decade of the 20th century. The cabinet was manufactured by Rockwell& Rupel of Chicago, Illinois, and I have not been able to find another example of it anywhere online-in fact, I've only been able to find two file drawer cabinets made by this company: one is a smaller tabletop model, and the other was a wider one that was auctioned by Christies of London in 2006 for several thousand dollars. So, I think it would be fair to say that this is a rare piece of furniture. Probably used in an office setting in the late 19th to early 20th century. It later spent many years in use at a hand-crafted furniture company. When purchased it still contained piles of screws and cabinet knobs! As shown, the bottom two drawers are missing. I removed them, as they had been loaded down with screws and the bottoms were very beat up. HOWEVER, I saved the FRONTS(see second photo) and they could be attached as false fronts or of course a woodworker could replace the drawers. As shown, at some point in its long history the cabinet either had two top drawers replaced with one deep drawer, or perhaps only the cabinet pull was replaced. The drawer fronts have the remnants of old taped labels as well as scratches. Carved numbers, and plenty of wear. The bottom of the cabinet has significant wear to the trim, and I removed some of the side trim that was in bad shape. The cabinet and all its remaining drawers are in good structural condition and all the drawers are clean and open and close properly. The cabinet measures 60" tall, 30&3/4" wide, and 18&1/2 inches deep. Fixing this up is entirely optional-I love its worn. Industrial look and the hand-carved dentil molding and old-fashioned brass-plated label drawer pulls. I believe these are for a square pedestal which might make them a mission style foot. They measure approximately 1 ⅝" thick and 15 ⅛" long from toe to heel. 3 ⅞" wide at the toe and 6 ¾" at the heel. A dresser, or an armoire. It has a mortise and tenon construction, and I believe it dates back to the 1870s or before. It would make a perfect wall shelf bottom. It is carved from one solid piece of wood with the exception of the two long pieces of wood on the back. It measures 50-1/4” long(44-7/8” without tenons) 10-7/8” high, and 1-1/2” thick(the solid board measures 7/8” thick. It’s a great piece for a project. Or just as a wall hanger. This is for a small table-it is marked berkey& gay and G or C 48 on the bottom-it is about 23 1/4" tall=26" long and 17 3/4" wide-it has been refinished at one time-it is only missing a tiny peg on the bottom of one leg so it seem to not sit flat-but that is easily replaced as they are just on the very bottom of the legs-otherwise it is nice- it has some squares on the top and i do not know if maybe it had been repaired or something-i am selling for a friend of mine so i do not know a whole lot about it as i mostly sell paper and once in awhile a neat collectable-i really do not know how old it is or anything about it- so if someone does and wants to let me know please do- it is a very cute small table-Please e-mail with any questions.

Antique Pump Organ Beautiful Oak furniture Kimball?
This auction is for a beautifully restored pump organ. It is oak and has a light finish with some darker painted highlights. Lot of carved details. I think this organ may be from the 20's or 30's but am no expert on this item and am not sure of the brand. There is a sticker that says Kimball but it's not attached. The organ works. But I can't say if it's tuned correctly. Approximately dimensions are 76" tall x 44" wide& 23" deep. It has a nice beveled mirror that has a slight haze to it. The center music holder opens up to a large storage shelf. The mirrored section is a separate piece. This was in my family for years. But I need to make room for other items. At some point they added some plastic castor buttons on the bottom so they wouldn't scratch the floor. You could easily remove them if you didn't want them on the stool. Antique Oak desk circa 1930 from the European Revival Line by Lifetime Furniture
A masculine and substantial heavily carved solid oak desk. Paper stamp says"Lifetime Furniture" which is from the Grand Rapids Bookcase and Chair Co. operated until 1956) 36 1/2" wide by 66 1/2" long and 31" tall. This desk has spent its life. Up until a month ago, in the St. Ignatius Retreat House in Manhasset, NY. which has closed down. St. Ignatius is a Tudor Revival Palace built by utilities and tabacco mogul, Nicholas Brady in the 20's. It was also called Inisfada, meaning Long Island in Gaelic. In 1937 it was donated to the Jesuits. As the photos will show. The doors across the drawers are missing and two of the feet have a small section missing. There are a lot of surface scratches and a couple deeper one on the top. The finish is worn off in many places. Rare antique postcard showing an early Stickley Brothers Arts& Crafts interior rendering in color. It is full of Stickley Brothers furniture. This interior view was originally drawn by native Scotsman David Robertson Smith. One of their early and extremely gifted designers. He first worked for Albert Stickley in London circa 1901, then was convinced to come to America. He won major awards for Stickley Brothers at the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exhibition in St. Louis. It is a postcard that was likely provided by Stickley Brothers or the Grand Rapids Furniture Record to retailers. It has a calendar on the backside that is for November 1911 and the postcard is postmarked 1911. This same image is shown on page 110 in the book: The Stickley Brothers" a reference book by noted Arts& Crafts era historians.Michael E. Overall condition is very good a small nick on crest on headboard some finish wear on one rail. Two pieces of carving are missing on the top post of footboard all damage in shown in pictures. Antique WOODEN WHEEL CASTER Attached to ORIGINAL OAK FURNITURE LEG This piece looks like a back leg from a small chest of drawers or a commode. It is made of oak. It is 8 1/2" long and 1 1/8" square. It has the original nail that held it to the piece of furniture. The caster has a wheel that is about 1" in diameter and 5/8" thick. The stem turns nicely in the metal tube that is inserted in the leg. I doubt that this caster has ever been off this leg. Condition: This caster is not cracked and it does not have any flat spots. It is slightly worn on the shaft. But does not wobble. The furniture leg is not split or chipped. There is a bit of paint on one side. All my items are from a nonsmoking environment. GORGEOUS ANTIQUE OAK & WALNUT FURNITURE CARTOUCHE & PEDIMENT SHELF
Up for bid is a gorgeous antique solid walnut and oak cartouche and pediment shelf. Standing 11-1/2" high x 8-1/2" wide and having a profile of about 5-1/2" deep. This solid looking shelf makes a bold statement wherever you decide to hang and use it. It hangs by two brass hooks, fastened to the back, so that when something is set atop of it, it will not sway to one side of the other and the shelf will set firmly on the wall. The back has been hollowed out to reduce some of it's weight, though two properly positioned screws into anchors in the wall should allow a good amount of weight to be placed upon the shelf. The top of the shelf is a nicely crafted solid oak board with nicely cut edges along the front and sides. The cartouche itself is a gorgeous hand carved acanthus leaf with a drop down finial at the bottom supporting ... morethe shelf. Little to no original finish is left, so I believe a natural or dark finish is all that's needed to make this piece pop. Shipping and insurance will be $15.00, except to Hawaii, Alaska, and all international destinations, where I will ship to, however, costs tend to be a bit higher. They just dont make furniture like they used to. This buffet(or sideboard) has extraordinary detail. Yet at the same time is simple and elegant. A straight cut top blends into the rolled front silverware and napkin drawers, curved front linen drawer, and bottom doors that conceal your finest china. The beautifully rolled legs go all the way down the sides for a majestic appearance. Brass knobs match brass key holes on all three drawers that lock away your special things for just the right occasion. One key fits all three drawers and it IS included. That's right, we DO have the original Eagle Lock Co. key! The silverware drawer is divided into three sections ... moreand is lined with the original green velvet. The napkin and linen drawers are not lined. The linen drawers offers tons of space so you can be sure all of your treasured tablecloths will fit. Two doors open on the bottom to reveal a large storage space that is more than adequate for your finest china. On the sides of the buffet you will find more gorgeous Tiger Oak and straight back legs that go from the top to the bottom of the buffet for a strong support. The back is finished with standard plywood and is original to the piece. Originally there was a top for the buffet but I do not have that piece, and to be quite honest I think the piece works much better with today's decor without the top. As you can see in the photos, the finish overall is nice, but it does have some nicks and chips in a few places, as can be expected with a piece that is almost 200 years old. It was refinished at some point. The discoloration on the sides is far less noticeable than it appears in the photos. Structurally, the buffet is in great shape, very strong.
