Solid and constructed of oak, this is relatively easy to move as it comes apart with ease. Measuring approximately 32 inches deep, 49.5 inches wide, and 49.5 inches tall, there is a center drawer, 4 drawers on the left, and 3 drawers on the right. Though the pictures show 4 drawers on the right, the bottom is actually the depth of two drawers along with a center divider. Additionally, 2 of the drawers on the left feature pre-cut slots for ease in separation of your possessions. Previously used and very well loved, it is important to note that the center drawer has had the bottom replaced. This is shown in one of the pictures. 1899-1927 Round Oak Pedestal Extension Table, Hanson Furniture Co - Orig ANTIQUE
This table was in my mother's collection of antiques(passed down from my grandmother) It is a large oak dining table with a massive central pedestal and four straight legs that fold down when the leaves are added and the table is extended. When not used. The straight legs are secured to the underside of the table top by a latch(see close-up picture) The feet on the pedestal are metal casters- they are not wheel casters, they are flat, smooth metal discs that tilt in all directions and because they are smooth and flat, it makes it easy to slide the pedestal(see photo) There are 2 extension leaves that come with the table. Refer to the photos- the table is sold as is. There might have been a repair to the pedestal(see last photo) I have taken pictures of all 4 sides of the pedestal- the last photo is a close-up of one of the sides showing ... morepossible repair. Here is a group or lot of 5 pieces which I think are cast iron or metal of some kind covered with either porcelain or some kind of ceramic. I believe these to be antique and actually I think they came out of a local bank. Furniture or pieces which has oak legs and then these would kind of protect the bottom of the legs in some way. These have rust, bare spots, dusty, and could be cleaned up a bit better. There are two which are 3 1/4 X 1 3/4 X 3 inches high. Bit of a chip around the top of one but plenty of wear on both. Then there are 3 that are more of square than rectangle. These are about 1 7/8 X 1 7/8 X 3 inches high. These have some bare spots and scratches and one of them looks like there was grinder or wire brush used on one side to get screw off must have had trouble getting it to let go. Antique Oak Secretary,Stained Glass,Circa 1900,Forest City Furniture of Rockford
Beautiful antique oak secretary with stained glass doors made by Forest City Furniture Company of Rockford Illinois. Forest City Furniture was located at Railroad Avenue at Eighth Street and operated from to 1919. It has carved claw foot legs on the front. The shelves are adjustable and movable between the top and bottom cabinets. The stained glass is a beautiful combination of of colors and shapes from right-angles to smooth curves. The original manufacturer's label is still attached to the back. The label lists the unit number. The cabinet maker, and who filled, varnished, rubbed, polished, trimmed and crated this particular piece. It measures 73.75" high by 34" wide and 18.25" deep. The top cornice molding looks to be a pine replacement but as you can see in the photos it blends in. The bottom cabinet doors were repaired ... morebefore I purchased it. The repairs are the two dark squares seen on the lower doors. Replacement veneer had been inserted and the varnish used darkened faster than the original finish. This incredible desk by Standard Furniture Company of Herkimer. New York is in good condition and measures 59.5"W x 35.5"D x 30.25"H. This desk has went from schoolmaster's to a local steel mill's office to somebody's garage as a common work bench( Don't worry. Though, it has survived and fortunately it wasn't beaten up too bad. There are replace handles on the main drawer which locks each of the drawers when closed. These drawers must be in their specific cubby hole to work which are all signs of superior quality(you know the whole locking thing with specifically numbered drawers) I'm pretty sure I have the key for this desk somewhere. It's not easy to get outdoor lighting. A good photogenic appearance, a decent natural backdrop to line up so I hope everything looks clear enough. The sun gave it a little bit of an alien glow but I tried to grab the most normal pictures, the top being detailed from left to right in the last three. As you can see there are some zones of"extra patina" over the wood grain but those have gone done from what it originally showed up with. Very large tall country store display case. Purchased in Montana about 40 years ago. Was told that it was a tobacco case but there is no humidor and may just be a country store display case for a multitude of sale/display items. It is 9 foot. 8 inches in height, 62 wide and 18 deep. Therefore one needs a tall ceiling. No imperfections. All glass is intact. The top and bottom cabinets are separate. Slats in the back of the upper unit are all solid.
