The overall size is 43 inches wide, 16 inches deep, 58 inches high to the case and 71 inches high to the backsplash. The mirror back is original and there is some cloudiness on the left-hand side. Gorgeous antique curio! Original curved glass(you can't get this anymore) Purchased from a 91 year old woman who said it used to be HER MOTHER'S in Illinois or Iowa Probably made in USA. But no maker's markings Wood caster wheels Beautifully carved wood mirror top The mirror top wood is just slightly lighter than the body of the cabinet The shelves have 2 grooves each for displaying your china. Plates, collectibles, etc Would be a great piece to use as a china hutch. Curio or display case Adjustable height wood shelves(Original shelves. But not original little metal shelf hanger hardware pieces) It was difficult to photograph the exact color. While not getting too much glare off the glass, so for the closest color match see photo#2 for a closeup with no flash, showing the truest color we could get. It's a nice medium to dark ... moreoak finish, we would say. You decide for yourself. Some of the photos came out a bit red because of the lighting, but it's not cherry at all. It's a warm brown. The cabinet's dimensions are approximately; H- 53" W- 54& D- 12.5" The Case: The beautiful quarter sewn oak case is in fine physical condition. Please note the water stain and split on the top of the case. There are a few other nick and scratches but nothing that I would consider distracting. The case would look great with a little lemon oil and/or having it refinished. I believe it was refinished at one time. But too difficult for me to tell for sure. I'd bid on it as being a refinished cabinet. The three doors open and close properly. Each door has a lock. I have the key for the locks. There are(9) nine shelves that are interchangeable. Stunning circa 1890's Victorian Antique Dark Oak Carved Bowed Glass China Cabinet; the hand carved workmanship is beautiful and articulate I have owned this for several years and due to moving out of the Country. I am saddened to part with it. The cabinet is very large, 67" tall, 47" wide and 20" deep at the widest point. The cabinet has 4 solid wood oak shelves with plate grooves,the shelves are stacked in the bottom of the unit) base of the unit has ball feet. The bowed glass on each side is perfect and original as well as the flat glass on the door. The door closes tight and snug and the unit is a very solid piece. The top, front and sides are hand carved with beautiful detail. I tried to get close ups of the details of this exquisite piece and capture as much as possible, the pictures just can't depict the beauty ... moreof this piece. The unit has been wrapped and covered in storage and I was not able to move it out by myself to get a better"full front" shot but got as much of it as I could. This Auction is for an Antique 1890's Ornate Quartersawn Oak Winged Griffin Triple Curved Glass China Cabinet. It measures 49" wide by 69" tall by 18" deep and has a curdled original finish with all three of its curved glass panels in excellent condition and a locking door with its original key and three oak shelves with double plate grooves- it has a double mirrored back that shows age wear on the silvering- unfortunately it does have some other repairable condition issues which are that termites got into the soft secondary wood on the back and partially into the back left claw foot and a little along the underside front edge(see photos) the rest of the oak shows no other termite damage- the house it came out of was fumigated a number of years ago so it is free of termites- I had a friend of mine who is an expert with ... moretermites look it over closely and he 100% guaranteed it is termite free.

SAID TO BE BY STICKLEY ❖ When I purchased this excellent cabinet years ago it was from a New York City seller who said he bought it at the Peter-Roberts Gallery in SoHo back in the late 1980's. Which was a premier Stickley& Arts& Crafts antique dealer of the time. He said he was told when he bought it that it was Stickley. I've never found a label or Maker's Mark on this one. But it certainly has the sort of quality one would expect from one of the early Stickley company manifestations, and certainly appears to play the part but I'm not entirely sure of the maker. I was actually looking for something to display my sundry copper collectibles(a few of which I've put in the photos. But which aren't yet listed. and other crafted ... morecurios& wares. But cabinets like this were used to show& store the Good China, and Craftsman-style China Cabinets from that era are generally quite popular& coveted. And you can see why! It's an awesome piece. Clean, solid, simple, exquisitely crafted from very gorgeous tight-grained solid quarter-sawn tiger-oak. Just the thing for displaying pretty much anything. They can tend to get very pricey. I've tried to make decent photos of this but I don't have nearly the camera nor set-up. It's in really decent shape to my eye. Aside from the typical age-appropriate character. Various marks& scratches here& there, etc. it looks in really good shape to me. Full-disclosure items I can spot are a small piece of the veneered back peeled off(the only part of the piece that looks veneered) but this doesn't show from the front or sides. The top has opened a small separation between glued-up solid boards(as happens with glued-up panels sometimes) two of the hinge-pins are stowed somewhere when the movers moved this(will try to find the originals) but I've put in decent-looking brass ball-tipped hinge-pins that very nearly match. But we are moving and cannot take it with us. It is hard to see it go because it is a really beautiful piece. My Mom took very good care of it and I can remember dusting and polishing it through my life. There is the littlest bit of wax residue in some of the carving. But it has been kept beautiful with Old English and Windex, and Liquid Gold Brand Polish. The worst of the surface wear on the wood is over the legs which are not bad for the age. There is damage to the two claw feet in the front. One piece that we had has been glued on but the other side has a piece missing. We believe it is from the turn of the century 1905 to 1920 but cannot be more specific. My Mom told me that my ... moreUncle gave it to my Dad and Mom in the 1940s. But Mom is no longer with us to get more information and I only remember this piece from about 1962. A very elegant design. It stands 60 5/8 inches the top of the cabinet. The removable decorative back piece adds about another 7 inches making the overall height 67 3/4 inches. It is 41 1/4 inches wide and 15 1/2 deep. The inside dimensions are 36 1/2 inches wide by 44 1/2 tall by 12 1/4 inches deep. There are three glass shelves. One shelf is slightly thicker and I can remember my Mother having a shelf made when we moved in 1964 as one broke. Very nicely carved at the top with a laurel wreath and ribbon design. All original with swell front glass doors and shelves. Cabinet is in excellent condition with little imperfections. Dimensions: Height 58" x Width 36" x Depth 13" The oak cabinet is from the Ebert Furniture in Red Lion Pennsylvania. In 1852. Two brothers from a small German town in Oberstetten travelled by sail to Philadelphia were they trained as cabinet makers. The brothers Johann Georg Ebert and his younger brother Johann Adam were masters cabinet makers. They opened their own company in 1854 and closed it doors in 1959. The company was a success for a hundred and five years and their furniture is still around.

A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, quartersawn oak curved glass china cabinet, the case on four bun feet with casters. Flanking the door are carved twist rope pillars on fluted plinths. The paneled back boards, and the four stationary removable shelves, are of plain oak. The door retains the brass escutcheon and lock, no key. Cabinet measures 5'5" 65" tall by 3'9" 45" wide by 16" deep, the plate grooved shelves 12" deep at center. Excellent condition: oak without chips or cracks, original unworn finish, no stains to top boards. The curved wavy glass is original, without damage.

She's about 100 years old. Beautifully carved oak, and had to owned by the richest of the rich in that time period. Most of these cabinets were not carved as much and were 36" to 40" wide. This ones is 5'4" wide, she stands 5'8" tall, and 18" deep. She's all original with the exception of the glass inside shelves that were custom made. This type of shelf lets the light threw instead of blocking the light. The condition is exceptional in excellent condition.
