This is an original oak door from an antique Hoosier style kitchen cabinet. It measures aprox. 18 1/4" wide x 15 3/4" high. It is complete with latch and catch as well as copper hinges and the original copper screws and has a wood rack attached to the back. It was painted with the front having been stripped at some point. Otherwise it is in good condition. We also have some other similar doors from this same cabinet presently listed. We will gladly combine lots whenever possible to save on shipping costs.

This is an Antique Hoosier. It is in very nice condition. See pictures. It measures 42"x25"x67" The metal shelf pulls out for additional work space. This is a nice one! History The Hoosier Manufacturing Co. was incorporated in 1899 with John M. Maring is President. Houses of the period were frequently not equipped with built-in cabinetry. And the lack of storage space in the kitchen became acute. Hoosier adapted an existing furniture piece, the baker's cabinet, which had a similar structure of a table top with some cabinets above it(and frequently flour bins beneath) By rearranging the parts and taking advantage of(then) modern metal working, they were able to produce a well-organized, compact cabinet which answered the home cook's needs for storage and working space. Hoosier cabinets remained popular into the 1920s. ... moreBut by that time houses began to be built with more modern kitchens with built-in cabinets and other fixtures. Thus supplanted, the Hoosier largely disappeared. They remain common on the antique market, however, and are still used as supplemental cabinets.

ANTIQUE HOOSIER CABINET / SOLID AND FUNCTIONAL BUT NEEDS MORE FINISH WORK
THIS IS A NICE SOLID OLD CABINET IN GREAT SHAPE THAT I USED FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. WE DID A LOT OF WORK ON IT AND USED IT AS IS. IT ORIGINALLY HAD SIDE SLIDING ROLL UP CENTER DOORS WHICH WE HAVE BUT THE WOULD HAVE TO BE REFURBISHED TO USE THEM. THESE DOORS CONSIST OF A CANVAS BACK WITH SLATS ADHERED TO IT. THE CABINET ORIGINALLY HAD INTERNAL COMPONENTS SUCH AS A FLOUR BIN AND LOWER TIN DRAWERS THAT WERE GONE WHEN WE GOT IT.THERE ARE A FEW PARTS THAT CAME WITH IT THAT I HAVE NOT TRIED TO IDENTIFY. THE ONLY NOTICEABLE CHIP ON THE SLIDE OUT ENAMEL TABLE IS ABOUT I/3 FROM THE RIGHT FRONT EDGE. THERE ARE A COUPLE MORE CHIPS VISIBLE ON THE UNDER SIDE IN THE SECOND PIC. ALSO VISIBLE IN THE SECOND PIC IS A LARGE GREEN SHELF THAT SLIDES OUT FOR EASY ACCESS.

Hoosier Antique Cabinet - Natural Oak - Originally made in Indiana
This is an authentic Hoosier made in Indiana. The original pasted manufacturer's labels are still readable on the back of the units. This is in two parts. The top consists of a tin lined flour bin with dispenser. The glass is original in the doors. The clasps need some TLC but are original. The only change is the bottom section drawer pulls appear to have been replaced but could be restored. The bottom section top piece actually pulls out to allow for more workspace. There is a"hidden" cutting board beneath the work surface. It's in VG condition with the exception of the bottom unit main cabinet door which has split but can be restored. The bottom unit is on wheels. We love this piece but don't have room for it in our newly remodeled kitchen.

This is a vintage clear pressed glass Hoosier drawer or scoop with handle. It is marked"WECK" on the bottom to be read looking down through the top. This antique piece measures 2.75 inches tall and is about 4.75 inches long from handle to tip of scoop and 2.75 inches wide on the end. It is heavy weighing 10.5 ozs. Antique American Hoosier Manufacturing Kitchen Cabinet/Cupboard Early 1900's
Very nice Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet from The Hoosier Manufacturing Co. New Castle, Indiana. Contains the original dispensing bins and card inserts for grocery lists, cookbook holder, spice shelves. Some of the glass knobs are not original, but they match nicely. All but one latch work very well. The latch on the bottom cabinet has a missing pull, but the door stays closed. Please inspect the photos carefully for details. Overall. The cabinet measures 72" high x 48" wide. The base cabinet is 22" deep, and the top cabinet is 11.5" deep. The porcelain coated work surface is in good condition comensurate with is age and has no rust. The top section is easily removed for transport by removing 6 wood screws. I purchased this nice jar as well as two others. A small and 5" at an estate sale recently. This is very nice and is 2-3/4" tall. The opening is 1-1/2" I don't know who manufactured this but it appears to be quite old. The aluminum lid appears to be original. It only shows very light wear.There are some tiny dents. See photo. The jar only has a small area on the inside of the rim edge where I could feel some slight roughness that may be from manufacturing or tiny flea bites. I think it is a manufacturing flaw. Up for auction we have a beautiful seven piece antique beehive. Clam broth, Sellers jar set. These beautiful matching jars would look fantastic on your Hoosier or Sellers kitchen cabinet. They are so pretty! The largest jar is 7 1/2 inches high, with a 5 1/2 inch opening at the mouth of the jar. It has the word"SELLERS" on the bottom of the jar. The second jar, also measure 7 1/2 inches high, but has a 3 and a half-inch opening at the mouth of the jar. It has the word"SELLERS" written on the bottom. The five matching spice jars stand approximately 5 inches high, and have an approximate opening at their mouths of two inches. Each and every jar, have the word"SELLERS" inscribed across the bottom. At one point and time he was going to open a fish& tackle and hunting shop years ago. But never got around to it. He was also a collector of many things! Too many for us to hold on to! Want to offer them to others! Believe the duck call is NOS(new/old stock) and dates back to the 1930's. My great grandfather had several of these as well as the crow calls that I believe he was going to sell in his store. Doesn't appear to have been used. Any wear and tear is from sitting and being in storage. This one shows a little more wear and tear from over the years than some of the others. The sticker is peeling a little. Some is missing. Antique Sellers Hoosier Cabinet made in Elwood, Indiana
A handsome and sturdy antique kitchen cabinet by Sellers. Made in Elwood, Indiana. The porcelain finish on the slide-out surface has a few chips but nothing major, and there are a few exterior repairs to the bottom of the upper portion which are not perfect(see photos) There have been some modifications, including a hole for an electrical wire and some structural reinforcement that does not detract from the overall appearance. When we acquired this cabinet roughly 20 years ago, I added a new, thicker plywood"floor" and some steel corner"L" braces to increase stability(not visible from the outside) The roll top is intact, functional and apparently original- but we leave it up because we don't want to wear it out. The flour bin/dispenser is in place and also seems original.

Here is a really nice old jar from a Sellers Hoosier cabinet. It was designed to hold sugar. This is a large jar. Standing about 8 1/2 inches tall. and 8 1/2 inches wide. The jar is in perfect shape, with NO chips cracks or problems. The original lid shows most of its original paint, but does have some dings and dents. Please note these lids do not screw on the jars, they simply set on the jars. Some folks are using these still as a sugar canister, or imagine it as a fish bowl, terrarium, or in some other decorative use. A nice old jar from a local estate, you will be pleased!

THE TWO ENDS ARE MADE OF TIN, HAVE DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS AND SCREW OFF AND ON. THEY HAVE SOME WEAR AND LIGHT ABRASIONS AROUND THE EDGES BUT NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. THERE IS A SMALL PACKET OF WHAT MAY BE SPICES INSIDE. I WAS GOING TO REMOVE IT BUT DECIDED IT MAY BE PART OF THE CHARM. I would guess, to the 1920s-30s period. The bin measures 8 1/4 x 11 x 17 1/2 inches and weighs 3 1/2 pounds. It has its original ivory white paint, glass window and tin sifter cap. It has a few scattered scratches and paint chips. But no dents or corrosion. A terrific old Hoosier flour bin to collect or use. It will be double boxed and have a shipping weight of 5 pounds.
