Antique Lot 1911 Hoosier Cabinet 4 Metal Knobs Door Latch Catch 100 Years Old
Hi! I have been buying a lot on Ebay and have decided to start selling as well. So while it may seem like I am a new member I have actually been around for awhile. These are just removed off of a junk hoosier cabinet base that had a porcelain top dated 1911. This is four metal mushroom shaped knobs that are around 1" across and a front door latch and catch with a knob missing off the latch, but it still works without the football shaped knob. No screws are included for any of the pieces. All of these pieces have a rusty patina and will need to be refinished if desire. It starts at $10 and will ship for free. Antique Hoosier Style Expandable Dining Table with 4 Chairs- Needs Restoration
For sale I have this antique Hoosier style dining room set from the early 1900s. It has been passed down through the family many times but now in storage. Overall it's in good restorable condition. With lovely decorative painted color accents, all in a medium brown finish. It does have a few condition issues but could immediately be used if desired. It measures approximately 51 inches long on top by 35 in. across. It however when all wood leafs are in place be expanded to 73 inches in length. The finish is flaking away in places but the design work remains. All the screws in the table could use tightening and it does have a few cracks here and there but as as I said before it is usable. It is missing one of the wood support decorations. One of the chairs has tape on it and a crack on it and is a little rickety. I believe it is made of ... moreoak? I have left it the table untouched and ready for restoration. This is definite worthwhile project to use everyday, or could even be painted to create a one of a kind work of art! This charming antique wooden(oak& other woods) kitchen cabinet was made in Elwood. Indiana(see brass label pic) There are 3 sections(1) Bottom cabinet is 39" wide; 30" high including the 4" legs with casters; 23" deep. 2)Top cabinet is 38" wide; 38 3/4" high; 11 1/2" deep. 3)The pull out work surface is white porcelain with light blue flecked edges; 41 1/2" wide; 25" deep; 7/8" deep. This piece is secured to the bottom section with heavy metal brackets(pics) The inset section has several little shelves, rolling pin holder& a recessed/pull out cutting board- 15 1/8" wide; 8 1/4" deep. This inset section is enclosed by a well working tampour(rolling accordian-like wooden slats closing from both sides that push back out of the way into a hidden track. There are 3 ample drawers ... morewith old metal handles, large storage section to left of drawers which has a shelf on the door. There are two storage shelves on top cabinet to hold many kitchen treasures. There are also a few extra wire& metal hooks inside including a rolling pin with black handles. The flour bin at the right of the cabinet is not included& is for sale separately. It did not come with the cabinet originally. There are no extras other than those mentioned. I have had this cabinet in my rustic dinning room for over 28 years and have never regretted having it store so many of my necessary kitchen items. Antique Hoosier Spice Jars and Rack - 7 Jars and Original Hanging Rack!
Up for auction is a great. Antique set of Hoosier ribbed spice jars and the hanging rack! This set was found, as is, at a local estate sale. There are 7 jars total, 4 with holes and 3 without the holes. They have the flat surface on the fronts. where the labels would go- one still has a partial label on it. The jars are 4 1'2" tall and have no chips or cracks. The rack is metal with a wooden center, and a hook at the top. This set would have been hanging inside a Hoosier kitchen cabinet, and you would have spun the rack around to get the spice that was needed. The rack has flaking paint, and probably needs to be brushed off and repainted(in my opinion) This is really a great set. The estate I purchased this from. I was told that this is an antique HOOSIER Lidded Jar. That is also printed on my invoice. Please look at all the pictures. I am selling just as I purchased. I was told it has the original lid. It has the raised/embossed striping on the rounded corners. The glass looks to be in very good condition. Especially for the age it might be. I do NOT see any chips, nicks or cracks. As you will see the lid shows some color wear and surface rust color type spotting and places on it. It reminds me of the old country store glass containers or jars but I really do not know. It measures approximately 8 1/4 inches tall. The opening is approximately 4 1/2 inches in diameter. Rare Antique Hoosier Kitchen Work Station Cabinet Card Fiber Board Sales
This is an apparently very rare example of late 19th or early 20th century Hoosier cabinet or kitchen work station. Hoosier's became the central workstation for baking and preparing foods in the kitchen. It was the next step up from a stove and tables. I searched for hours and could not find a single photo of this piece. It seems to be too fragile for a child's toy so it may have been a salesman's sample to show to the lady of the house or in a display window at a store selling"Hoosiers" There were many traveling salesmen who would take an initial $1 down and payments of $1 per month to purchase a"Hoosier" cabinet. Rustic Antique Oak Medicine Cabinet-Hoosier Markings on the back
I have a rustic oak medicine cabinet for auction today. It looks like some of the shelves have been replaced. On the back of the cabinet is Hoosier several times and some other printing. What I do not know is if this is the manufacturing marks or someone made the cabinet out of material that was stamped Hoosier. Either way. If you are looking for a rustic, country cabinet to finish your remodel, or give your bathroom that one of a kind, country feel this would be a great addition to your home. The cabinet measures 18 and half inches tall, 15 inches wide and just short of 6 inches deep. There is a glass knob for a pull, it doesn't stay closed real well, but someone who is more mechanically gifted than I could probably fix it easily. I simply used a little cardboard to keep it shut. The way it is constructed is unusual. The top. Sides, bottom and work surface is wood covered with metal. The upper door and back& lower doors and the drawer fronts are metal. All of the metal is painted to make it appear to be made out of copper. One of the things I see that make it appear to be a salesman sample is the hardware. The hinges, latches& drawer pulls are just like the big cabinets except this hardware is smaller and it's all rivited on cabinet. This is an antique cabinet and it does show wear. I wuold say some little girl has played many days with it in the past. The cabinet is a two piece cabinet so it can be taken apart to ship just like the ... morebig ones. The cabinet measures 25 1/2" tall, 18 1/2" wide, and 7" deep at the top and 3 1/2" deep at the bottom. This is a set of 4 nice round milk glass pull knobs with brass metal stem bases. They're in very good vintage condition with some light surface wear and tarnish on the bases as well as old paint. I believe the bases are brass(magnet did not stick) but there is a silverish and goldish color to them.there are no nicks or chips except one small one which I didn't notice the first 2 times that I looked at it because of the white color, so not very noticeable and all the knobs come with original screws. Antique"Seller's" Oak Hoosier Cabinet. In the kitchen! This oak Hoosier cabinet is a charming must-have for collectors of vintage kitchen pieces or for those who love the look of yesteryear at home. This functional Turn of the Century antique was manufactured by Seller’s as documented by the original nameplate. This beauty stands 68” tall. 41” wide, and has a base cabinet 24” deep. A slide-out white enameled work surface measures 27” front to back(when fully extended, add 10” The attached swinging sugar jar w/lid. Flour bin w/bottom sift dispenser, and door-mounted spice rack, utensil hooks are all original to this piece. Roll-tops are a wonderful touch to the top and base. Both rolls have been meticulously reassembled to their original beauty but need a little coaxing to open and close. Over time, both doors should loosen a ... morebit. The bottom roll-door features a unique sliding lever(original) which operates the door. It’s actually pretty neat! Stunning antique Hoosier hutch from Seller's. This was purchased in Indiana. Metal brand plate(Seller's) is attached to the front. I am unsure of the exact age but it did belong to my Great Grandmother. It was originally located in Indiana. The hutch is in 2 pieces so moving it is relatively easy& it will fit into most any size living space. The bottom part has a white enamel counter with a gray speckled edge. The cabinet in the base opens& there is one shelf inside. There are 3 drawers with glass handles. The bottom drawer is metal in the interior& is used for potato storage. There is a small hole rusted through it but it does not interfere with use. The top part has 3 panels of the original amber slag glass with no cracks or chips. The left side used to contain a flour mill but it is long gone. Plenty of storage. The ... moreother side opens and has 2 shelves& on the inside of one door there are little metal compartments. The lower part of the top piece has a roll top that work just fine& opens to reveal storage with one shelf. Height is 69 inches, depth 28, width 40.5. The large one is round and is marked"Coffee" on the front. The small one is a round shape and is marked"Tea" on the front. They have metal twist on tops. In good vintage condition with slight denting to the metal lids. These glass canisters are great for displaying small items, nuts, shells, sea glass, colorful grains, or even coffee and tea. VERY SCARCE* OLD ANTIQUE VTG EARLY 1900's HOOSIER CAST IRON SEED CORN PLANTER LID This offering is for an old antique cast iron lid for a Hoosier Corn Planter. The lid is heavily embossed around the rim"MF'D BY HOOSIER CORN PLANTER" and on the center raised dome"HOOSIER DRILL CO RICHMOND IND" The lid measures app. 8 7/8" in diameter and is made of cast iron and has the original orange paint with what looks like a secondary over paint of a yellow paint. There is a steel piece that looks like a latch that bends over the fore edge. The piece does not have any kind of catch along the bottom edge but I don't know if it ever had one or not. The condition of the lid itself is outstanding with no breaks. Cracks or repairs and the original hinge plate is included. This is an antique 2 piece hoosier type kitchen cupboard. The brand is unknown. I can't find any type of tag showing the brand on the piece. It needs to be repaired and or refinished. This is a consignment item I'm listing for a friend. They wanted to fix it and painted the 4 metal parts shown in the next to last picture but are just wanting to downsize at this point. I don't know where those pieces go in the cabinet but they are included. Everything else seen in the pictures in or on the cabinet does not go with it. Just the cupboard and the enamel counter top.
