You are considering a vintage industrial file cabinet complete with drawers. Casters and a butcher block top. I tried to take decent pictures so you can judge its condition for yourself, but as you can imagine for its age and function it has a ton of wear/character. I just cleaned it up, lightly sanded the butcher block top and sealed the wood. It is solid and funtions as intended. It is about 28" x 27" x 36 1/2" tall. I think this antique oak 4 drawer Macey file cabinet is in very good vintage condition. It still retains the majority of the original dark oak finish. It is a bit scratchy on the top and has a few spots but I would leave it as is. I think a bit of scratch cover and a waxing would be sufficient to make it home ready. The interior of the cabinet and drawers are very clean for a vintage item. If you like to refinish items to a light oak look it would refinish nicely. It does have the original Macey Decal of Grand Rapids Mich. and all of the drawers have the original directional decals as well. The hardware is mission style so it would go well with arts and crafts furniture. It has a tiny seperation halfway up one side that is only about a 16th of an inch wide and causes no structurally concerns. There are many small issues with wood corners and trim pieces but the unit as a package is very nice. It measures overall at 58” tall x 33” wide x 26” deep including the drawer handles. There are four original pull rods and one replaced escutcheon. I'm guessing Globe-Wernicke though it is not marked. Beautiful antique Remington Rand file cabinet. Measuring 22"L x 17.5"W x 8.5"H. The cabinet is solid maple with dovetailing on the cabinet and drawers. The drawers will hold a 9"x6" card. Original hardware, as I am not sure if it is plastic or Bakelite. They could be easily changed for some brass hardware if you prefer. There are some brass tags and a keyed lock on the center support. One of the tags states"Property of the USNavy" with a date of 1935. There is no key for this cabinet. The cabinet is also very heavy weighing in at 29lbs. as for the $30.00 shipping charge. There is an old repair to the veneer on the top and a few scratches and scuff marks. The outside has a nice patina. The inside mechanism is complete with slider that holds cards upright. It works smoothly and is nice and solid. There is a partial maker's label which appears to be redish with a gold border. 15 Antique Cast Brass File Drawer Pull Apothecary Hardware Store File Cabinet
Offered here is this unusual set of fifteen cast brass drawer pulls. Could have been used on an apothecary cabinet. Seed cabinet, hardware store cabinet or file cabinet. The lip of each pull has a fancy Victorian monogram on it with the letters; M. S, O, CO. Each pull measures about 4 5/16" wide by 2" high. The slot on the back for the lable measure about 1" x 4" Original surface has not been cleaned or polished in many years. Should clean up well. There some minor bends on some of the pulls. It appears to have a locking mechanism for the bottom right drawer. However, the key is missing. It also appears to have been partially restored, as the finish has been stripped and cleaned. It retains its original brass hardware, however, the bottom screws on each handle are missing. These however, could likely be easily replaced. Antique Vintage Library Bureau Sole Makers 4-Drawer Wood Oak File Cabinet
For auction is one beautiful vintage 4-drawer quarter-sawn oak file cabinet from the early 1900s. It is in fantastic original condition. The finish is original and has only minor nicks and scratches. The brass hardware retains its original patina. And all hardware is accounted for. Each drawer has a dark green metal adjustable divider inside, and the top drawer has the original LBSM patent decal inside the drawer face. All metal glides operate smoothly. The finish is slightly lighter inside the label holders. There is also a slightly darker area on the top towards the front left of the cabinet(see photo) There is only one side panel. But it is reversible, so assuming the file cabinet is placed with one side against a wall, you can use the side panel on whichever side faces the room. These cabinets were made to screw together in rows, so you ... morecan also attach it to an existing LBSM file cabinet of the same size and vintage. There is a date stamp on the inside(JUN 15 1922) which I assume is the date of manufacture. There is also an inventory number(25U59) punched into the wood on the upper left hand corner on the front of the frame.
