Primitive Antique Wood Kitchen Counter Cabinet Two Drawer Spice Storage Great!!
Here's a fabulous primitive two drawer folk art cabinet which is perfect for displaying on a counter in your kitchen or dining room. It is a great old piece and will add a lot of charm and storage to your kitchen. There are other uses for it too. Use it as a small table in a tight space. The finish is rough as it was used for many years but it's still structurally strong and ready for you to use. The sides are made from slats of wood which are pickle stained on the opposite side(the side that you don't see unless you turn it upside down. There is chipping to the back of the piece as if it was veneered(no slats on back) but you will not see the back if put on counter against a wall. Nails of different kinds hold this piece together and it looks as if some were added as the years went on. The corners and edges are worn from years ... moreof use. This is true wear not reproduction wear- this piece is very old and well used. There are paint smudges, splatters, a small round patch to cover what I think was a nail hole. The knobs are made of wood, and are lighter in color than the body. The top and front are made from 3/4" thick, solid pieces of wood(probably pine) This was a utilitarian piece, one that was used a lot for a long time so it shows it's age. If early American/primitive is your look, this is perfect! You can clean it up or leave it as it. I will leave that to you. Measurements: 18 1/2" deep x 15" h x 9 1/2"w and fits nicely on a conventional sized countertop with room to spare in front. The drawers are 18" long x 5" deep, great to hold linens, candles, utensils, etc. The best representation of condition are the photos. I take as many as 12 to show you the condition. Speedball Antique Pen Nib Counter Display Case
Speedball Display Case This listing is for a rare Speedball display and advertising case for fountain pin tips and other accessories. It is completely made of wood and the glass door has a small brass handle. Measurements are 18 1/2" by 8 3/4" wide and stands 5 1/2" at its highest point. Inside the case are individual slots for the different tip sizes and the top has four grooved areas for maybe ink. Just behind the groves at top is a compartment for storage and the lid just slides out. There are a few spot that show normal wear. The photos show the nicks and scratches it received. Because after all it was actually used. I purchased it in 1978 in a small town in New Jersey. Speedball and the Howard Hunt Pen company were local Philadelphia companies. Recent estate find. Being sold as found! Antique cast iron counter balance scale with pan and weights. Great old mercantile, country store decor. I believe it dates from the turn of the century, possibly 1906? This one came from an old estate where it had been stored away for many years- great restoration project! P Rogers& Co. BIRMINGHAM on side. Also has a round seal or stamp, a crown over E R, the number 10 to the top right and number 6 underneath. TO WEIGH 14 lbs in raised letters on top of base. Appears to be in working order, no broken pieces. One small flaw in the metal on the underside of one of the arms that holds the pan, see photos. Original black paint and gold or yellow graphics are worn away in some areas and there is some paint spilled on it here and there. Loads of included bubbles and string like mold cooling marks ... morethat upon first glance you would think them cracks- which they are not. The interior of the jar is very smooth. The exterior mold lines are bumpy and irregular. There two faint polished ghost seams 3 1/2" to the right of the rough seams. The original intended purpose of this fine jar is unknown. It has performed many years as a countertop flour canister. Measurements: Height: 13" with lid; 9 5/8" without Diameter of top: 12" Outside diameter of cylinder: 10 1/4" Inside diameter: 9 5/8" Inside depth: 9" Bottom Diameter: 9" contact surface curves out and upward to 10 1/4" Low Waist indent: 5/8" Liquid capacity: Approx 2.5 gallons Condition: Very good overall condition. First produced by inventor drug company of in 1888. Credit Wikipedia. BROMO-SELTZER contains no cocaine. No codeine, or morphine" Extraordinary rare original drug store counter display item. Overall with exception to some topical erosion of the cork almost appears as new. It is simply fantastic and most likely unique considering. Most assuredly, as and advertising item from"Synder The Druggist, Mahanoy City, Pa. gone long ago. I literally almost fell over when I saw this a recent sale and then thought oh, a good repro until I inspected it closely. It is absolutely and dead-on authentic, an original from the"Victorian era" c. 1890-95 and not long after the Emerson company started producing"Bromo Seltzer" in 1888. Yes, the bottles are prolific but when have you seen something like this. There is some leaching of ... moreglue through the board to the laid over paper surface but it really doesn't effect the overall charm and fine quality of the"drug store display" I doubt that this is much different than it always was and as just found packed away in the back of the old pharmacy. The display itself is a printed paper stock mounted on gray chip board. The attached triangular stand is attached by an old fashioned type of tape where a piece of fabric canvas was glued down. That is what you see. Well before manufactured tape! The bottle is attached to the board with a small metal collar and the held to the back of the board by a metal clip fastener. There are a few little chips around the edge a minute bruised corner, there is an old crease, upper left corner, but this is only on the paper and not on the card board, so it was creased before it was laid down to be glued to the board. Two very minor surface paper pull losses, but they just about disappear within the extraordinary graphic appeal of the advertisement. Very nice antique 1890-1900 era tin and glass with a cardboard base display case. The only distractions for this case are two scratches in the glass on the hinged lid. The rest of the glass and the metal are problem free. It has a loose black piece of felt on the inside. The cardboard base has some fading but is structurally sound. The bottom has it's original 4 feet. The hinge for the lid works just as it should. The case measures 3 7/8" tall. 10 7/8" wide and is 4 1/2" deep. I have listed $12.00 for shipping. Which I do not know for sure, but I have asked several people who have been around a bit longer than I have and they seem to think its probably from the 30's or 40's. The wooden base is in excellent shape with no damage that I can see at all! The middle piece that sits on the base has a chip on the back right hand corner which I have pictured. ANTIQUE MOTHER OF PEARL FISH THREAD WINDER / GAMING COUNTER
This is a lovely chinese mother of pearl silk winder. It has some cooing doves on one side. And fish scales on the reverse. It dates from any time from the early 1700's to 1800 as this was a very popular shape. These were used as gaming counters. But only ones with indentations, like these were used as silk winders as well by Georgian and Victorian ladies. It measures 2.25 inches(5.80cm) long.

Holds over 2 gallons.just a huge beautiful piece of advertising from the late 30's early 40's with the original glass lid. There are no chips or cracks in the jar. Inside of the jar and lid are smooth. It is all glass and is very heavy, weighing over 8 lbs, not even in a box. The Gordon truck is bright red including the driver. I think that you can see how sharp the jar is from the photos. This jar is incredibly heavy. Used to sit on a store counter with cookies, crackers or peanuts in it. At auction is a antique store store counter made by Sherer Gillett Co. Chicago. USA. It is made of oak and has 15 drawers. Nine drawers are 23"long by 12" wide and 7" deep. Thats the inside measurments. Then theres 3 that are 23" by 14.5" wide by 13" deep.The last 3 are 23" by 14.5" by 9" deep. The counter top length is 97.5" long, and 28 and 1/4" wide by 33.5" high. It has normal wear and marks as the pictures show. But over all its very solid with a rich untouched patina. My age estimate is late 1800s to early 1900s. Again this is un refinished like other examples you might see, good honest wear. I and 3 other friends brought this home to my mother 40 years ago. Its been in our familys home since. But Im selling and moving so I decided to part with it. Ive searched the market and ... morehavent seen one in better untouched condition. All the drawers go in and out ok. And they do hold alot! You will see the picture of the drawer handles. The knobs you see top and bottom were there to hold the manilla paper. Written on the paper would be what was in side each drawer. The customer would open the drawer and retrive his or her purchases.The rack on the end was with it when I bought it. I believe it would have had the brown paper for wrapping up customer purchases. It either had two sizes of paper, or the top had a roll of string for wrapping. As you see its also worked good for paper towles. Antique Country Store Penny Candy Counter Display Glass Jar
Up for auction is an original Antique Penny Candy Counter Display Jar which is reminisce of strolling through a country store with glass barrels filled with brightly colored candies& other goodies. The candy jar held Wellons Giant Size Fruit Balls man ufactured by the Wellons Candy Co. in Dunn. North Carolina. The barrel style ribbed candy jar is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The bottom shows some early glass manufacturing straw/stress marks. There is a diamond shaped logo with the numbers7, 5& 7 also on the bottom of the jar. The lid is in good condition with a few dings& shows an interesting Wellons Company mascot standing by a candy stick. The top of the jar reads Wellons Giant Size Fruit Balls 1 cent 240 count with the ingredients listed. It also has Wellons Candy Co. Dunn, N.C. on the side of the lid. I was under the impression that it was missing pieces. What I found out is that is was made to put over the top of a box full of candy. The glass door opens up and people can buy 1 or more pieces directly from the box the candy was shipped in. Once the box is empty. You just transfer the piece to a full box. This advertising tin measures 10 3/8 inches by 10 1/2 inches by 1 3/4 inches. It has some surface rust and the paper piece in the bottom left corner is torn and missing some of it. The"Brach's Pure Candy" is embossed. I am surprised to see this one survived with the original glass intact. $8.00 will ship anywhere in the lower 48 states. Please check out my other auctions. Mirror Antique Store Counter Shaving Oval Swivel Brass Copper and Iron Base
A very stylish antique beveled glass oval vanity or retail store display counter mirror. Appears to date to the late 1800`s or early 1900`s and is in very good working and cosmetic condition. The oval mirror is encased in a formed copper plated steel casing. The two telescoping vertical posts are solid brass and are nicely polished. The back of the mirror appears to be a solid slice of walnut or similar wood. The single wing nut on the top of the vertical brass columns loosens and tightens to raise and lower the mirror. The top wing nut allows the oval part to tilt 180 degrees. The mirror will swivel 360 degrees. It also raises from a height of 21 1/2 inches to a maximum of 28 1/2 inches. Overall the mirror and weighted base weigh 9 pounds and 7 ounces as pictured. The metal surfaces are lightly polished.
