We have here a mechanical clockwork repeater desk bell. The main body looks to be made of brass and has a very nice patina. Everything seems to work as it should and has a very free movement, it does have a small stress fracture on the top of the bell but still rings sweetly. It is approx 9cm across and 10.5cm tall. As for age I have no way of dating it but I believe it to be late 19th or early 20th century but please study photos and ask any questions before bidding- it has no markings that I can see. The last being from 1959 and a wire lead seal at the base. I cannot make out the other seal date which is older. The scale has a number on the bottom of 7438 and a number on the rim above the seal which is 2491. It also has 4 LBS on one of the upper arms. I cannot see any model number or name. It measures 14" from base front to the end of the brass weight scale, 4" across the base and 5.5" from crow tip to crow tip. Measures 9" from base up to tray arms. The tray is 9" across and 12.5" long. This scale weighs just under 8 lbs. Shown is an antique nickel(or perhaps chrome) plated solid brass countertop 4.85 US pounds weighing cigar cutter. The 5 1/8" by 3 7/8" by 8" tall spring loaded cutter delivers a straight cut and and has what appears to be a mounting rod inside. The very substantial cutter was turned from a solid block of brass and then plated. It has a hinged door in the back that can not be latched. The hinge is stamped with the number 18. So is the spring loaded push knob, the door, the base and the top. In good but clearly used condition. Consistent with its age normal and expected wear is present as shown. There is one flaw that I do believe can be fixed-but I am not an expert on the top oak counter as shown in pic's one of the boards has lifted a bit. The counter has wooden pegs in it but I believe that if you were to strap it tighter it would come closer together or maybe just hammer it in more. This is a beautiful rare Chatillon Store top beam scale. This scale is crafted in red oak with a marble top. The scale measures up to 16 oz. The pans have a nice aged look with a few small dents. Antique General Store Counter Tole Tin Litho Tea Bin Dispenser Bin Girl & Kitten
Here is a great estate sale find! It's an old tin tea bin or dispenser that would have sat on a counter in a General Store way back when! Probably from the late 1800s or around the turn of the century. I don't know much about these type of items. It has its problems as mentioned in the"Condition description" above but still has fabulous stenciled graphics including a cute young girl watching her kitten drink milk. So charming! The top hinged lid contains a revolving cylinder which has different types of teas stenciled on it. The one currently shown is"Gun Powder" There is also Japan. E. Breakfast(English Breakfast) Succhong, and another which is pretty scratched out so I can't read it. I left the window open to"Gun Powder" because the cylinder is dented and doesn't roll smoothly around. I don't ... morewant to scratch the graphics and more than they are. You can see the lid has a broken hinge and is dented so it doesn't sit squarely on the bin. The small door at the bottom is missing its knob and also has a dent. An interesting shop display stand for Hohner Harmonicas from around the Edwardian period. It has the look of an old gramophone. The script is the same on three sides and all are in the same condition which I would describe as good. Patent applied for" also printed on all three sides.There is a key hole to one side but sadly no key. I presume it was wound up to revolve an upper platform. If you manually turn the external wheel you can hear the mechanics of it inside. The top is firmly screwed down. Condition is as shown with stains etc and chip to right front edge of top. Vintage Hoosier Style Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet w/Copper& Slag Glass Doors This is a gorgeous old kitchen'Hoosier style' cupboard. It has the base. The hutch and a beautiful copper topped counter that does indeed pull out on the base. The top hutch has three doors on the top part with leaded Slag Glass in green and white milk-glass. These appear to have been added to the doors some time ago when this piece appears to have been refinished. The lower part of the upper hutch have two larger wooden doors. The outside of the right door appears to have sustained surface water damage to it some time ago. The bottom base part has one large latching door on the left side that reveals a metal lined storage bin with one wire rack making a shelf in it. The right side has three drawers where the twop two right side drawers are in wood and the ... morebottom right drawer is lined in tin/metal. The counter is simply beautiful. The counter was resurfaced in a solid sheet of copper sometime ago when the entire piece was lightly refinished. The copper counter has a nice protective coat of varnish or poly on it as does the entire piece. The sheen is in a nice soft gloss. Not a shreakingly heavy gloss that makes one put on sunglasses just to look at it. This piece is on metal casters with wood wheels and is easy to move if needed. The drawer pulls appear to be original to the piece. However some of the upper hardware appears to have either been moved during the restoration or have been replaced. All the hardware appears to be correct for the piece, I just can not swear it is all orginal to the piece. The family reports that they just remember this piece being as it has always been so the restoration work done on this piece was done at least more than 40-50 years ago. If I were to keep this for my very own. I would be proud to display it in my own kitchen and show it as my own. Take that for what it is worth. I will gladly entertain reasonable offers. ~1000 CPM Antique Tea Pot Hexagonal Six Sided Hand painted Geiger Counter TESTED
This item is 4.6" tall and 7" wide from outside of handle to farthest point on bottom. It does glow under blacklight because it has uranium oxide in the glaze. It scores around ~1000 counts per minute on my simple SBM-20 Geiger Counter. It's probably hotter than that but this number gives you a general ballpark idea. This is a lovely handpainted item and I could not find anything like it when searching for hexagonal tea pots. So perhaps it's rare? The hand painting is very colorful and the crazed glazing really shows off it's age. I have no idea how old it actually is, so if you know- please send me a message for my own curiosity but it's still being sold here at auction- regardless. Antique 1800's Drug Store Candy Counter Pharmacy Apothecary Jar
A very nice. Crystal clear drugstore apothecary jar. These jars were often used for candy display but had other uses in a drug store. This particular one is 12" tall with a diameter of 4 1/2" The bottom has a large pontil(see photo) There are numerous seed bubbles in the glass along with a few potstones which are usual in this early blown glass. You can also see these in the photos. The cover and the inside of the top of the jar are ground for a perfect fit. All around nice shape. This particular jar came from the basement of the Oakes Drug Store in Oakes, North Dakota. The store had been closed for years and the contents were sold out at a small sale. Originally used as nightlights, in their original counter display box. This is the AR-1argon glow bulb. It is similar to the GE neon glow bulbs but instead of glowing orange. The AR-1 glows purple and generates significant amounts of UVA radiation. Making it useful for examining UVA-sensitive minerals, viewing"blacklight" posters, etc. This bulb screws into any convenient 120 volts AC or DC female medium screw-base light receptacle or light socket. I tested the bulbs by simply screwing them(briefly) into a standard lamp receptacle; they lit and glowed purple as they should. There is one that has some dark shading on the glass as if it had been used. But that one tested fine as well. I have listed ... morethem as"used" as I am unsure if they have been or not. According to the box. Bulbs should last for about 1000 hours. Each bulb is in its original paper sleeve. The box is well worn. A bit battered and stained, which you can see in our photos. These bulbs seem to sell at online specialty sites for more than $60 each. So please remember you are getting ten in their original box for one price here. This is for a primitive country store paper roll cutter. It is made of iron sides and attached to a wood top. This looks like it should be attached to a counter. Appears to have had a metal pole or rod that would sit in groove to hold paper in place.You will have to find a rod or wood dowel to use. The sides are fancy. This shows some wear in finish on both wood and metal. There is some rust and dirt. Could be cleaned and restored. This measures 22 1/2" across wood top x 11 1/2" high. Nice collectible.

Oak Partition came from a court house has a swinging door with a door that could open from either direction. Circa 1910. The measurements overall of this entire divider are 88 ½” long by 43” high on the stationary end and 38” high is the swinging door. The depth of the top ledge on both halves is 6 ½” deep. There is no reserve on this great old general store tin bin or caddy. We are pleased offer this lovely antique tin bin. Probably used in a general store in the late 19 th C. It is in very good overall condition with very little rust. The paint on the front has been touched up long before we acquired it. But fortunately nothing has been done to the lovely young woman who forms the cameo in the center. The gold and black has pretty much been completely done over, but it may have been a long time ago as there are some dings in the paint. The hinges have a really old solder repair which might indicate these are old“fixes. These were pretty valuable pieces to the store keeper and he wouldn’t have wanted them to look too worn.
