What a gorgeous piece of furniture. The people I received this piece from said that it had been in there family for at least two generations and that they were told it came from Connecticut originally. It measures 8' 2" in height X 50" in width and 24" in depth at it's largest dimensions. When you face the piece the dog on the right hand side has a shrinkage crack in his two front legs that you should be able to see in the pictures. It does not affect the stability of the piece. The locking mechanism on the upper cabinet is missing and the one on the lower cabinet is in tact. I do not have a key to fit it though. The shelf in the lower cabinet is a single width board about 16" in size instead of two narrower boards glued together. The cabinet does come apart into three pieces which make it fairly easy to move. ... moreAll of the doors do not have any hinges they are all doweled. The shelves in the upper cabinet can be adjusted to varying heights. The depth to the the carvings and the beautiful completion of all the carvings attest to the master craftsmanship of the cabinet maker that created this piece. The hunting board is available for local pick up or I will deliver for 50 cents per mile one way, distance based on computation of Bing maps. Antique Art Deco Style China Curio Cabinet Hutch 1920’s good Condition
Up for sale is a very unique china cabinet. I've found none like it on ebay. I think it's made of walnut, and it has gold leaf accents and nice carvings. It was reportedly bought new in Philadelphia sometime in the early 1900s and brought down here to Georgia when the owners moved. On the back in gold coloured marker or some kind of writing are a bunch of numbers. There's no makers mark that I have been able to find. This is a stunning probably early to mid 19th century Chippendale style solid mahogany cabinet. It consists of two pieces. The top has two large doors with 20 individual panes of glass which are individually glazed and create with the unusual framing a very interesting pattern. A few of the panes have been replaced. A few parts of the framing around glass have also been replaced/repaired. The doors will lock with the original lockset and key. It may be originally of UK origin and possibly Irish. I have not nailed down where it was built but it came from a prominent Charleston estate. The base has two hand dovetailed and very roomy drawers.and the secondary wood is pine. There is a cool carved and shaped skirt in front and on the sides and the legs are cabriole which end in carved ball and claw feet.which are fabulous and detailed. The drawer ... morehardware is new. The finish is original. The lighter parts of the mahogany absolutely represent that rich patina that is only achieved over many. Many years. Inside. All original with swell front glass doors and shelves. Cabinet is in excellent condition with little imperfections. Dimensions: Height 58" x Width 36" x Depth 13" The oak cabinet is from the Ebert Furniture in Red Lion Pennsylvania. In 1852. Two brothers from a small German town in Oberstetten travelled by sail to Philadelphia were they trained as cabinet makers. The brothers Johann Georg Ebert and his younger brother Johann Adam were masters cabinet makers. They opened their own company in 1854 and closed it doors in 1959. The company was a success for a hundred and five years and their furniture is still around.

A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, quartersawn oak curved glass china cabinet, the case on four bun feet with casters. Flanking the door are carved twist rope pillars on fluted plinths. The paneled back boards, and the four stationary removable shelves, are of plain oak. The door retains the brass escutcheon and lock, no key. Cabinet measures 5'5" 65" tall by 3'9" 45" wide by 16" deep, the plate grooved shelves 12" deep at center. Excellent condition: oak without chips or cracks, original unworn finish, no stains to top boards. The curved wavy glass is original, without damage.

For sale is this estate sale item. I believe it is made of oak but I do not know for sure. Comes from a very old VA estate. Since it is an estate sale item- it is being sold as found. This auction is for a China Cabinet that was given to us by my cousin. She said it was old but she didn't know much about it. I couldn't find any markings or any way to identify it but it definitely looks old. It has two removable shelves held up by dowels. All sides are made of wood. The bad parts: Two spots on the glass have tiny chips. Water marks on the top, cracks on the back wood and the bottom shelf and the bottom part of on of the sides is missing something.
