This Beautiful antique hand carved piece was found and picked on a TV show called"picked off" that was on the History channel last summer. I loved the piece so much I bought it. Here we have a lot of antique hand carved mother of pearl buttons- most are very old. Early 20th century or Victorian. These came from a Bar Harbor estate along with some other items. I counted at least 225 buttons- all but a few are natural mother of pearl, in all sorts of sizes, from tiny to 5/8" Some interesting ones in there, some are older than others. I am selling this as is because there is a piece that broke as shown in one of the pictures and could use new strings. There are a few scratches also. Even so it is a nice piece and Sounds beautiful. You are bidding on a beautiful solid wood Breakfront Cabinet. I'm no furniture expert. But I believe this piece was crafted pre-1950 due to the absence of phillips screws in the construction. It is quite heavy and probably made of pine or cedar, although it does not exhibit a strong cedar odor such as might be found in a chest. The cabinet separates into three(3) sections; the crown, body, and base. The shelves are removable and adjustable. The base features sliding drawers in the middle. The beautiful red leather paneling on the doors is protected by brass lattice and all the doors have locking twist knobs. This fine piece of furniture would make a great curio, library, or back bar for a restaurant or personal den. Mirror is in great shape, framed in wood, but the right side of the mirror silver has some crazing or cracking to it; NOT the glass itself, but silver behind the mirror. This does not detract from any of the lettering. The mirror is backed with wood and has'Bub's' Winona, Minn. and'15' stenciled on it; wood is slightly warped and stained. Very. Very nice condition. This was made by Edward Mikkelsen& Co, Chicago Illinois. The stamped image on the door says, Manufactured by EDW MIKKELSEN& CO, Chicago Ill" Edward Mikkelsen was a cabinet maker and was best known as one of the founders and craftsmen of the Automatic Machine and Tool Co in 1898 with John Gabel. He continued to make the oak cabinets for John Gabel's amusement and music machines. Including jukeboxes, in the very late 1890's and very early 1900's, even though he sold his share in the company a year after they started. Mirror has some slight scratches in the silver. But overall it is very nice considering the age. Please view the sixth and seventh pictures to get an idea of how the mirror looks. The outside looks great with minor wear. On the inside, the wood piece that holds the mirror in has ... morepulled away a bit on one side where the wood split a little(see eighth picture) Still functioning properly, though. The back appears to be pine, but I am not a wood expert. It is not oak like the rest of the cabinet. There are two additional shelves. All shelves are in very good condition, with some minor staining. The towel bar is original and is removeable. I do not know if the white porcelain knob is original or not, but would assume that it is. Cabinet is 22 1/2" high x 16 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" deep. Antique Heavy Glass Bar Display Jar - Peanuts Crackers Cookies
This antique display jar was used in a restaurant bar in Appalachia that operated between 1920-1940. Without a lid it is made of heavy glass. And is 9 inches tall and 5.75 inches square. The opening at the top has an outside diameter of 4.5 inches. The ridge or ripple like construction makes it impossible to photograph the front side which has a 2 x 4 inch area of smooth glass which would have had the advertisers name. I was told that would have been Lance but no way to prove that. There are no crack, chips or repairs. I found a flea bite and perhaps a light scratch. Klein's Milk Chocolate NIC-L-NUT Candy Bars Store Display Box Supersize pictures as they are a large part of my description. Measures Aprox. 7 1/4 inches~L x 4 3/4~W x 2 1/4 inches~Tall. Don't find one of these boxes often. Printed on the front of the box. It says, Klein's Nic-L-Nut, Milk Chocolate and Peanuts, Mfnufactured by Klein Chocolate Company, Inc. Elizabethtown, PA. I do know that since the zip-code was not included on the box, that it predates before 1967. This box per side of box held, 24 Bars. I show you many pictures and there is writting all over the box-supersize the pictures. Through my research, I believe this box to date back to the 1930's, maybe as early as the 20's. I was able to find one like it, that sold at a auction house a few years back for $90 and don't believe it was in as good as shape ... moreas this one is. It is in pretty good condition, taking in consideration it's age and the fact that it is a light cardboard box. It shows some wear at the corners and there are some creases here and there.One corner has a rip on the seam that is about 1 1/4 inch long. Neat old advertising memorbrilla. FYI Klein's Chocolate Co. To produce that chocolate the plant required six million quarts of milk a year, which gave area dairy farmers a steady market. At one time, they were known as having the Worlds Finest Chocolate. Up for sale is an antique chair that was owned by my grandfather but he has recently moved to a small apartment and does not have the room for it. It is close to 100 years old according to him. This chair was hand made a very long time ago and originally had a wicker support under the cushion it has ripped through. Up for sale is a great old BUDWEISER sign. In says COLD BEER. Could't say anything better. It is not lighted but it has a reflective background that makes it bright. The white letters are nice and bold and bright white. And are in great condition. Nice bright red Budweiser logo right in the middle. Anheiser Busch Logo above that. Also says King Of Beers below the logo. The sign is high quality all metal frame and back is nice thick metal. There is some scratches here and there. You can see them in the pictures. No damage to the clear plexiglass front. This is a real quality vintage sign that will be a great addition to any beer sign collector or just to hang on the wall.

ANTIQUE LATE 18th C. "W.T.& S." BRASS/IRON CROSS BAR & TRIPOD TRIVET-BIRMINGHAM
This great designed. Early fireplace trivet is eye-catching. It measures 13 1/4" 33.3 cm) in length, 6 1/4" 15.8 cm) wide and is 4 1/4" 10.8 cm) in height. It is incised on the bottom with"W. T. S. With an eight rayed sun design next to that. This is the mark of William Tonks and Sons of Birmingham, England. There is a question as to when he actually started the business, being either 1789 or 1794. They won two gold medals in the London Exhibition in 1851 and in 1862. They also won a gold medal in Paris in 1855. The factory was moved to a larger place on Moseley Street in 1860. They were still in business in the 1920s, but I don't know how much longer after that. They were famous for their architectural hardware, art metal work, and campaign and ecclesiastical metal work. This trivet is some of his earlier work, because ... moremost crossbar trivets were attributed to the 18th century. A piece like this would be hooked onto other larger"footmen" and used to keep a kettle or pot hot. This trivet was made not only for this purpose, but was also freestanding on tripod"feet" The 2"feet" near the hooks are plain, but the one"foot" near the handle has a great"footed" design. The brass top features four large and one small brass rondelles, each with a different design. The rest of the brass is openwork of overlapping circles. There is also a lovely brass knob on the end of the handle. The handle is made of a carved black would. It shows wear from much use, which you would want to see in an item of this age. There are a few splits in the handle from heat and age, but they only add the charm of this great item. I personally do not consider this damage, as it is all original and very old.
