A Fine Victorian Carved Walnut Foot Stool c1860/80
This fine Victorian foot stool I think dates to between 1860 and 1880. The stool I think is made of walnut that has nice grain and colour and has nicely carved feet as seen in the photos, the stool has a pink silky type material which I think is a later replacement and could do with a light clean, the stool measures 12 inches diameter and 6 inches high, there is general minor wear and tear with age with a couple of small knocks and some wear to the braid on the edge of the material

Talk about old. This vintage stool has it all! I could not resist letting this go at an auction because it has so much character and charm. Dated around the 1930's era, it has the old style braided iron legs and a wood seat that was covered in a tan and peach striped cotton material. I could not resist and stuffed the wood seat, covered with a tapestry teddy bear material and painted the iron legs. Hubby added some new screws. Which is dry and clean, is ideal for storing shoes and wellies in the hallway. The settle boasts down swept shaped oak arms to the sides and pegged construction. The settle features the original polish and patination and thus the colour of this settle is superb. This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the hallway. Dining room or kitchen. This is a wonderful Antique Piano Stool with Cast Iron Legs. The needlepoint seat cover is in excellent condition. It is a medium blue background surrounding a beautiful floral Rose center of multiple colors. The seat and frame is wood. Possibly hand tooled. The Needlepoint is attached to the seat(I do not know how) and covered by a decorative welting. The Cast Iron Legs are attached to the lower frame of the wooden base by screws. The frame& legs are painted Gold. There is some loss of paint on the legs commensurate with its age. It is quite sturdy and stable. The height of the seat is adjustable by turning the seat using the simple threaded mechanism(see picture) The edge of the seat does have some dings in the paint and some minor loss at one point in the wood(see pic) The overall height with the seat down is about 18 inches. WOODENDECOR10 Presents A Victorian Era GOUT Footstool This item ships FREE FedEx Ground in the Continental U.S. This is an authentic Victorian Era GOUT footstool from the mid 1800's to the beginning of the 1900's. Its rare design was purposed for gentlemen with means as a way to relieve the pain of gout by lifting the foot at the ankle while not touching the foot. It is made of solid wood(I believe it to be walnut) With two handles on either end for easy positioning so as not to touch the foot, four carved wooden legs, and a straw padded tapestry or rug covered body. Here, this rust toned rug is edged with ornate trim and round tacks. I can not say whether it is the original rug or not though it certainly coincides with the time period. There is relatively minor wear on this piece for its age with some varnish wear, what looks like ... morelathe holes in the ends of the handles, some wear on the bottoms of the legs, and a superficial crack in the base that is not deep nor does it compromise the structure or stability of the footstool. Its as sturdy as ready to use today as it was over a hundred years ago. The rug is still in good shape, all tacks are present, and trim is in great condition. The footstool is a great historical piece for the collector with an interesting medical background. Similar pieces have sold for up to $250.00 in the past few months. Has lots of dings. Wear, some repairs, some splits- still pretty sturdy, but I would let it stay"retired" and use it as a riser/ display piece. Industrial looking, knobs and handles. the front legs are very thick and taper out as they get to the surface it sits. the back legs are straight and nicely footed. the sides and back have a very ornate cut out design. and has a heavily embossed emblem on the face. the piece has a great patina from age and measures 21 1/2 inches wide by 12 inches tall by 15 1/4 inches back to front. it is signed underneath. Here's a very rare and very wonderful pair of American Classical Empire Federal Mahogany Stools. Probably from Boston, circa 1830. Measures about 15 1/2" x 17 1/2" x 17" tall. Currently upholstered in a gorgeous red and gold silk blend Scalamandre Medallion fabric(extremely expensive fabric! both stools were restored several years ago. Have the original cushion/seat frames. Very lovely and elegant. Matched pairs of stools are very very hard to find. Seldom seen with this style back, this walnut stool has been owned by the same family for over 40 years, appears to have not been refinished, with impressive patina and aging. The brass and glass feet are in nice condition, still roll on carpet, and the back is solid and secure. The seat is adjustable, and has been not been used for over 40 years. The seat and it's base have a few surface splits in the wood, as the picture shows, but do not go through, and the seat is also very solid and secure. The dimensions are 35 1/2 inches high, 16 1/2 inches deep, 15 1/2 inches width at the top of the back, and the seat is 14 inches round. The stool weighs 19 pounds, and local pickup can be arranged. 100 year old ornate antique oak church pew in original finish / 24 sold..1 left
This offering is for the 46 1/2" wide beautiful ornate antique oak church pew pictured. It is the last one from an original lot of 25 pews. It would make a wonderful Christmas gift! It has a feature that is extremely rare.ornate applied carvings on both the outside of the end panels as well as on the inside of the panels(near the top on the inside) In 12 or more years of buying and selling 400 or more antique church pews. I have never had any with applied carvings on the inside of the end panels. The pew has been shortened from its original length and is just as it was used in the church; I have gone over it with Old English to cover over scratches from the nearly 100 years of usage. It is completely authentic and is an attractive looking piece that would look great in your family room. Entry way, on your porch or patio, in a sun room, ... morein an office or reception area, or just about anywhere seating you would like to place them. The pew is approximately 46 1/2 inches wide at the rear of the pew. You can see that both end panels taper in slightly. Making the front of the pew slightly narrower than the back of the pew. The end panels are 38 1/2" high. When placed against the wall. The pew will extend out into the room 24" Seat height is 15 1/2" from the floor and seat depth is 15" There is a slight curvature to the benches that you can see in the pictures. There is a very nice 32 inch wide hymnal rack attached to the back side of the pew. The pew has some scuffs and rubs in the finish from nearly 100 years of service in the church that will vary from the scuffs and rubs of the pictured pew. But it is very sturdy and in nice cosmetic condition. There is a small chip out of the seat where it meets the end panel and a small place on one of the arms where a little of the wood is missing.I have pictured both of these areas for you. ORNATE Antique 19th C Victorian Era Cast Iron FOOT STOOL Ottoman foot rest
I have up for sale a wonderful circa late 1800s Victorian Era Fancy Cast Iron Base Footstool. The castings are ornate and the paint appears to be the old original. The stool measures approx 14" square on the base. Approx 12" square on the top. The upholstery is older, I do not think it is the original but its older. It should be reupholstered and repadded. It has a scalloped top. And measures approx 14" x 14" x 7-1/4" tall and weighs about 9 lbs 10 ounces as you see it. The 14" is the base measurement, the top upholstered part is approx 12" across. The fancy cast base is quite beautiful. The paint appears to be original. Its with out question very old. The cast iron is in excellent shape, I notice one small crack, that has a repair on the back. Untitled Document This American antique piano stool from the George W. Archer chair company of Rochester. NY has decorative cast metal legs and a patent date of 1873. The stool seat is broken. The metal post is broken from its attachment plate. There is no way to reattach it without soldering or welding it back into place. There is also a clean break all the way across the wooden seat base. This is likely repairable with drilled-in dowels and wood glue or metal straps. The original red velvet upholstry is becoming threadbare, but still has some life left in it if you like the shabby appearance. ANTIQUE HANDMADE VICTORIAN FOOTSTOOL BENCH SHOE SHINE BOX INSIDE WITH CONTENTS
This is a very unusual antique FOOTSTOOL with a SHOE SHINE BOX INSIDE. The box is also filled with several tools and a can of vintage DAZZLE TAN SHOW POLISH with some shoe polish still in it. There is also a wonderful shoe form that is affixed into the inside of the box with 2 screws. I believe it has the letters C& M on it! There are four shoe brushes. One is marked PARKS& PARKS ROYAL TROY. N. Y. and the other three are not marked. This footstool/shoeshine bx combination appears to have been hand made. The wood is either mahogany or walnut. But I am not certain. There is a very old piece of carpet type material on the top with brass tacks around the edge. One of which is missing. It measures 11" X 14" and is 14" tall.
