Vintage Old Antique Folding camp Chair STOOL w/ Pouch MADE IN St. Louis by SMC
This is a vintage item. It is in very good condition. But I would not expect the canvas seat to take to much abuse. It is solid. No worn spots rips or tears. Stitching is OK. Frame has a few paint flecs missing. 95% of the paint is still there. I have not seen a similar one listed anywhere.

The stool is adjustable up and down for different heights and the seat swivels back and forth. The stool measures about 35 1/2 inches high by 18 inches deep. by 17 1/2 inches from the seat down. The seat measures 14 1/2 inches by 14 1/2 inches. Just gorgeous warm color. Beautiful ball and claw feet. Carving in the wood and a beautiful design all around the seat. Traditionally called the Tapa by the neighbouring Yoruba, are an ethnic group located primarily in the Middle belt and northern Nigeria, and are the dominant group in Niger and an important minority in Kwara State. The Nupe people have various traditions. Much of their culture was diluted by the Usman Dan Fodio Jihad of the 19th century. But they still hold on to some of their culture which is very similar to that of ancient egypt. Many Nupe people often have tribal scars on their faces. Their art is often abstract. They are well known for their wooden stools with patterns carved onto the surface. This is a beautiful and rare piece of genuine antique 19th century tribal art. Thank you for looking into our auction of this ANTIQUE HOLTZMAN AND SONS PIANO STOOL WITH CLAW AND BALL FEET. This is a used stool. So it does have usage mark on it, especially on the seat. There are small holes all around the side of the seat. As I understand from the person who owned this stool and gave it to us years ago as a gift, it was common in the Victorian era to cover these stools and have a heavy fringe or tassels hanging down from the seat of the stool. We took that fringe off the stool, because it was really in bad shape, and that left these tack holes. You don't really notice those holes, unless you are looking for them or looking closely at the edge of the seat. Besides those holes, there are also some other scratches and scrapes on the seat. The seat turns on a screw to allow you to adjust the stool to your special height. ... moreThe seat is approximately 1-1/2 inches thick, but it consists of a finished top nailed onto a solid wood bottom. Those two parts of the seat have begun to separate, but that hasn't caused any problems with using the stool, and the seat can probably be better joined together, if you have a desire to do that. The legs of the stool have been painted a light green color, and, as should be expected from a piece this old, there are some places where the paint has come off the legs. Other than the paint problem, the legs are still in fine condition and the are sturdy. The ends of the legs are covered with fancy metal, probably brass,which holds a glass ball that rests on the floor. The stool is still sturdy, and you wouldn't need to fear using it. The stool stands approximately 16 inches high, not including the seat. The seat adds another 1-1/2 inches to the height. With the seat screwed the whole way up, the stool is about 24 inches high. The length to which this pieces original owner went to make this an incredibly sturdy and lifetime piece is incredible. Octagonal spindle legs. Thick dense wood for the seat. This old stool speaks through its battle wounds and scars. The measurements are as followed: 21 1/2 inches long, 7 1/2 inches wide and 13 1/2 inches tall. The stool has an incredible original paint on the seat that today might be called sea foam green. The wood seat has been patched with a piece of metal and 12 nails and measures 2 5/16 x 1 5/16. The legs are approximately 12 3/4 inches long and the seat is 21 1/2 x 7 1/2. I have for sale a beautiful 100+ year old anitque piano stool. This was my great grandmother's and I was told it was an antique when she got it 114 years ago. I'm no appraiser. And don't deal in antiques. The stool is complete, and functions perfectly. Appears to be all original right down to the brass and crystal claw style feet. This stool is really nice. The varnish even appears to be original. I don't believe it was ever refinished. The pictures can describe it better than me. Shipping will be $35.00 to the lower 48. Here is an antique foot stool with a needlepoint top. I don't know anything about it. So I'm hoping the photos will answer most of your questions. I love the fancy legs. There is probably a name for that style. There are some scratches and dings which some Old English will help. There are areas where the thread has worn away on the needlepoint.must have been comfortable for your feet in that position. These areas have been colored the dark burgandy. The needlepoint top measures 16 inches in length by 12 inches in width. The stool stands 11 inches tall. If you don't like the show of"age" you could restore it to it's original beauty, although I like it just the way it is. Tracking will be included in the s/h fees. This stool mounted on the center pedestal of the barber chairs of the day(the red clamp in the pictures) And allowed the barber to sit and swivel back and forth behind the client while cutting. This piece is mysterious. was this gorgeous woven top from a rug and cut down for the stool? Or was it made for this stool? It is very hard to tell because of the borders of the stool being so natural looking as if this primitive looking so soft woven top was made for this stool. Chicken/Egg. doesn't really matter because it is so lovely and very versatile. This could be used in a formal great room or a bedroom or the entertainment room of your house. Vintage or Antique Wood Painted & Eagle Decal Small Stool - Well Made
For auction is a small stool which has been in my family for at least 50 years that I know of. Prior to that it was probably my Grandmom's or an older aunt's. My Mother painted over the pale yellow paint. I think, which is one of the layers under the black. She also put on the Eagle decal, which turned out very well. Size is 10 7/8" tall. Seat measures 10" X 6 7/8" Sturdy with screws holding pieces together. Made of thick wood about 3/4" Legs have planing detail on outside and inside edges to blunt the edge and give a soft feel. Seat is rounded over. Decorative and useful. I usually sit on it in front of the fireplace. Shipping cost is for US lower 48 states only. From a smoke free home. Antique Farm House Country Primitive Stool Red Distressed Paint (H)
This is an antique primitive country farmhouse stool. Someone had painted it solid red at some point and I sanded it so the old blue and white paints could show through. It is sturdy. It is missing one dowel but the legs are held together with twisted wire. The seat wood looks rough under the paint but the surface feels smooth. It measures 23" tall. 13" wide seat, and the legs measure 16" wide at the bottom. Payment by PayPal is due immediately when the listing ends.
