UHL Stool This vintage UHL stool dates from 1940-1950. The stool adjusts up and down and adjustment works perfectly(height of seat from 16 1/2" to 24" When the seat is set in it's lowest position the top of the backrest is 30" high. The original seat and back have been refinished to a rich dark walnut with a satin lacquer clear coat. The seat measures 16" wide and 14" deep. The backrest measures 13 1/2" wide and 6" high. Both are 3/8" thick. The seat swivels freely. The foot rest ring is 20 1/4" in diameter which is more desirable than the standard 16" The chair was completely dismantled and sandblasted by a professional. I will start by saying that I aquired(2) of these industrial stool sometime back at a local sale that was selling some items that had be salvage from some old industrial plant. This auction is for one of these stools and the other is listed in a seperate auction. This is a large cast iron swing arm stool with what looks like a maple seat. This stool would have mounted either on the wall. A large table leg, or on a large piece of industrial equipement. It has a screw up adjustable seat and a swivel bracket on the swing arm so it could be positioned in several positions. The seat is 11" in diameter and 1 1/2" thick. The adjustable height of the seat is that it could be adjusted up to a height of at least(6) inches. The swing arm and wall or table mount bracket combined are(14) inches long. There is no damage to this item. It has a ... morefew specks of white paint on it and there is some minor rust specks here and there. As the photos show. The paint is peeling and chipping but it is very solid. The seat is good with the exception of a couple very small spots of rust. The seat adjusts by turning it either clockwise or counterclockwise– depending on whether you want it taller or shorter. I attempted to show this in photos by seat position. I have not cleaned the stool nor have I shot it with WD-40– something I will leave up to the new owner. Here is a great looking mid century. Industrial stool. It is a short stool, even though you can swivel it up and down. It only moves a little bit. The seat is in excellent shape, no rips or tears. The seat swivels with no problem. One of the castors os missing and one is flat. Take a look at the pics to see that. It can easily be fixed by replacing the castors. This antique Industrial/Steampunk stool is in EX. condition for it's age. The bent wood legs are in EX. condition with just a couple of very tight age cracks& 1 of the legs is a little chippy on on the bottom. This is a very solid stool weighing 17 lbs. Adjustable from 32" to 37" T he seat has been replaced& is 1 5/8" solid wood. I don't see any mfg. name on it. The cast iron parts appear to have been repainted the wood may have been refinished. There are square nails holding the cross pieces to the legs as shown in pic#8. The guy I got this from told me that this stool belonged to his Grandfather. Who was a plumber by trade. It was in his plumbing shop for many years. He also told me that his Grandfather installed the first indoor bathroom with a toilet in Quincy,IL. Vintage Wood& Cast Iron Stool This great old stool came from one of the old tanneries in Milwaukee. It likely dates from the mid to late 1800's from what we know about the age of buildings in the area that it came from. It has the unmatchable patina of a well-aged piece. With loads of character to boot! Each of the leg bottoms have some degree of chipping on the outer corners, and a bit of the screw threads for the seat adjustment has broken loose. At its lowest setting, it measures 27" high. The stool adjusts upward several inches by turning the adjustment wheel underneath the seat. All of the joints are tight. This all wood Sit-Rite chair has great charm and warmth. The surface is worn smooth and has a nice patina of age. The bottom of the seat is stamped"SIT-RITE EDWARD L. KOENIG MFG. CHICAGO. ILL" in green ink. There are bolts for adjusting the back protrusion, back height, and seat height. The seat can be adjusted between 17 1/4 in. 27 1/4 in. in 1 in. increments. The chair has a 13 ¼ in. x 15 3/4 in. foot print. There is an old crack on the right side of the seat that was repaired with glue and a mending plate. It shows no weakening and does not affect the integrity of the stool. There are 4 small ¼” diameter shallow holes and some imperfection in the wood. Vtg Industrial Adjustable Metal Draftsman or Welders Stool Antique by Ajusto
NIce antique metal stool. Draftsman style. Obviously was used by a welder as per the few trace spot welds on the stool surface. Adjusts from 23" up to 31" The seat has a 13" diameter, the base is 22" across. Weighs about 14 pounds. Local pickup is best but. We are happy to ship FedEx, but it will be expensive, especially to the West Coast, approximately $80.00. Greyhound Package Express will be significantly less money, probably $60.00, but we live approximately 40 miles from the Greyhound Terminal and we can only get down there once every few weeks. Vintage Industrial Adjustable Drafting Oak Wood & Cast Iron Swivel Stool
Up for bidding is this gorgeous steampunk industrial red drafting/ piano stool. This would make a great barstool in either an industrial modern or country kitchen. It has chippy red paint. The seat is wood and through the red chips it reveals a sage green underneath. The legs are cast iron at the top and wood at the bottom. It adjusts from 20" to 25" There is a small cut in the rim of the seat(see photo) which tells part of it's story that someone was using it as a saw horse. The cross bar mount under the seat is missing 2 of its screws(easily replaceable) I tried taking pictures of it from every angle possible. If you need any close-ups of anything or have any questions. Vintage Industrial Drafting Stool Adjustable Drafting Chair Metal Wood
This is a vintage industrial metal and wood. Office/drafting stool/chair. It is a swivel chair with adjustments for changing the position of the back rest. While the chair itself raises and lowers on the spindle, I am not sure how to permanently adjust as I see no locking mechanism. I see no manufacturer information on the chair, only a sticker that says"twice a year grease swivel and spindle bearings" The seat is about 16" wide x 14 1/2" deep. There is a strip of the wood top missing and age appropriate wear on the rest of the chair. When the chair is in the highest position, the seat is approximately 32" high, and when it is in the lowest postition the seat is about 26" high. The backrest on the stool can be adjusted with a wing nut setup. This item, when boxed, weighs about 25 lbs. and will be disassembled(hopefully ... morein two pieces) when shipped to keep the cost of shipping reasonable. I can send additional photos if requested. They are stamped on the bottom"Sit-Rite" and made by Edward L. Koenig Co. of Chicago Illinois and are probably from the 1930's or 1940's. The stools are adjustable and measure 41" from the ground to the top of the backrest at their highest point and 31 1/2" to the top of the backrest at their lowest point. The stool has some light surface rust near the feet and operating mechanism. The stool is missing one foot as well(please see photo) The seat height adjusts from 16" to 21" high. The back of the stool is adjustable as well. The walnut swivel seat on the stool is in very good condition. The seat has a"green-like" tint color. The main part of the seat measures 16" x 13.5" The stool still has the original toledo sticker below the seat(see photo) ABOUT ME: Hello. My name is Jason. This is a Rare Vintage ROYAL METAL Industrial Metal Adjustable Stool. In extremely good condition for its age! Has original tag on the bottom. There is discoloration on the seat itself. Some very light rust on the base. It is on wheels& moves easily. Very padded& comfortable. Measures approx. 23" tall w/ a seat measurement of 16" around. Measures 14" from leg to leg. Mid-Century Industrial wood adjustable Drafting stool. Awesome 1966 vintage wooden 4 legged stool. Stool is unmarked. Comes with a 5" adjustable mechanism, that allows the backrest to flex and it also is a seat height adjustable. 1 leg has a split but does not seem to be weak. see pic) Rest of the chair is in great condition showing normal wear from use.
