Antique Needlepoint Mahogany Paneled Footstool Sewing Cabinet w/ 2 Drawers This is an excellent antique mahogany foot stool with a needle point top and 2 drawers and paneled sides and back. The drawers are dovetailed and i would guess this was made in the early 1900's. Perhaps even as early as 1890. The cabinet has some wear, mainly around the feet but no cracks, breaks or repairs. It is very solidly constructed and is still as solid as the say it was made. The fabric is attached with decorative tape and hobnails and is gently and evenly faded to a lovely"old rose" a gentle hue that blends with any color scheme and contrasts with the exquisitely worked multicolored flowers. It does need some restoration, a few bits of veneer need to be replaced and there is some wear to the embroidered top, but i have shown this in the images. It has three solid turned feet on the base. This is a nice restoration project for someone. It will be a very useful and attractive footstool once restored. UNUSUAL Lovely Vintage Antique Chippendale Glass Ball& Claw Mahogany(I believe) Wooden Footstool. The claws are metal(have a bronze or copper hue) and the balls are glass. Both in nice condition. The wood is beautiful and has a scalloped wave shaped pattern on all sides. The top is padded and has been covered with a leather or leather-like material. The top is not secured but could be. This is an Antique Mahogany with Floral/ Black Petit Point Upholstery Footstool. 13 inches long x 10.5 inches wide. Item has some general signs of wear. Bottom backing is torn in places. It measures a whole 30 inches long and 18 inches deep. 9 1/2" from floor to top of wood and an additional 4 to 4 1/2" higher to the top of the cushion. The fabric I choose was a copy of an old Williamsburg style fabric, so I felt it very appropriate for this lovely rare stool. I actually call it a bench because it is so large. Condition: The stool is in excellent condition with no breaks or flaws to the old lovely patina. There is a repair to one corner and I took pictures so you could see it. Other than that it is lovely. It has never been around animals or smoke. I restore and reupholster my furniture when needed and I have a big carriage barn that I store my antiques in.NO ... moreanimals.NO smoke and I sell in lovely condition. Age is my best guess around 1790 to 1820. The rectangle of the footstool is not exactly square. Its off a little bit.but THAT IS HOW THEY MADE IT. My upholster laughed when he made the new cushion(nice and firm) and said, it is a little off. I told him, he was a little off and we both laughed. He went on to say. Vtg Art Deco Footstool Magazine Rack Stand Mahogany Duncan Phyfe Kneeler
Vintage Magazine Stand/ Stool Here is a unique piece. I originally thought this was a kneeler. But when I discovered how it tilted, I think it is a Magazine Stand with a tilting Foot Stool on one side. The wood is dark, perhaps mahogany or walnut. It looks like Duncan Phyfe styling and measures 20 inches tall, 14 1/2 inches wide, and 17 1/2 inches deep at the feet. The one side has a compartment for books or magazines, and the other side has a padded and upholstered piece on the bottom. The legs have metal, clawed feet on each end. The top has a handle for easy movement. The stand pivots and one could use it as a stool with the padded portion being the footrest. I bought this Bench/Stool about 20+ years ago from"THE CLASSIC LIGHTING COMPANY" in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania. They specialize in Antique and Vintage lighting and furniture. I needed it for a spare bedroom; but never really used it because we shortly moved and I changed my decor. It has been stored in a smoke-free. Pet-free home. The carved. MAHOGANY Wood is so rich in color and elegance. The fabric is so beautiful and just begs to be touched and rub your hand over it. It is from the 1930's or early 1940's. I am not sure whether the fabric is original. Perfect for the bedroom. Living room or foyer. It measures about 26-1/2" across; 16" in depth; and about 19" high. The colors of the fabric are dark lime green and moss green. Similar to the color of these letters but darker and not as bright. The heavy. 1-1/8" ... morebraid around the edges has the colors of moss green, rich, medium brown, and beige. The Tassels are in beige, and deep dark, moss green. Great form of an empire victorian footstools. Circa 1840-50.American made.solif mahogany. as pics show this small sized footstool packs alot of style. the wood itself shows an interesting flamed or ribbon style mahogany grain. This is more normally found in veneers,but this stool is made of selected grade solid flamed wood. It has a typical exxagerated"OG" serpentine molding that has a wonderful serpentine flow. This molding is offset from the seat and the bottom foot structure by heavily fluted moldings. The bottom foot portion is well carved and scalloped on the lower skirt section. The seat is a slip seat,and has an older useable velvet seat which could be easily reupholstered if so desired.This wonderful stool measures 12" x12" at base and is 8 1/2" high. Vintage American Empire? Flame Mahogany footstool. I am not sure about the date. But I believe it is pre-1900. In good condition, but with some nicks and blemishes which you can see in the pictures. The fabric is of course not original and underneath that is a chintz flowered fabric. But what is underneath the flowered fabric I do not know because I have not taken it apart. The color of the wood is very striking. 12/ 12" wide X 81/2" deep X 51/2" high.

The silk fabric background is dark mauve with a hint on blue. I believe the legs are mahogany. Please look at my pictured as part of my description. This is a antique foot stool with minor imperfections from age and a couple small spots on the silk but overall condition is very good. much prettier in person! A great decorator piece. The footstool measures 30.4cm in diameter and stands approximately 17cm high. The base of carved mahogany is strong and sturdy. To the graduated frame of the footstool top there is an area approximately 6cm in length where the wood has been shaved away. This is nor immediately noticeable and judging by the colour happened many years ago. A few bumps, bruises and tiny nicks on the edge of the wood commensurate with age and use which add to the lovely patina of the mahogany. The footstool stands on four carved legs and has a carved border best appreciated through the many photographs. The top is a blue needlepoint background with a border of needlepoint multi-color flowers and a scrolling design that frames the petit point center of multi-color roses and other flowers. Footstool measures approximately 7 1/2 inches high by 18 inches wide and 12 inches deep. It is in very good condition. Very sturdy and sound, with some minor wear to the finish of the wood, minor wear to the upholstery, and one 3 1/2 inch inner triangular leg rail missing from the interior of one of the legs, only seen when turning the footstool upside down. 1 lovely antique Mahogany footstool with a beautiful hand done Petitpoint/needlepoint floral depiction on top! Flowers are in petitpoint and the blue background is needlepoint. Is very well made and I believe is Mahogany or Walnut with Mahogany stain. Measures 17" x 12" ontop x 11" tall.
