Measures about 17" square at the top and 15 1/4" high. Fine clean solid complete condition. The oak has some normal age splits and wear- check my photos. This is a heavy very solid stool for its size- it weighs 21 pounds! The lathe turned legs have a classic Empire period style, a bit more balky than Eastlake. We believe it dates from mid 19th century. If you love old oak pieces like we do, you are certain to enjoy this magnificent small table or stool.

It is adjustable in height from about 19" to 23" The adjustment mechanism has the name Lyon and Healy Chicago cast into it. This company manufactured harps and other instruments beginning in 1864. Antique Leather Topped Oak Stool
This is an Antique Adjustable Leather Top Oak Stool. The stool has cast iron hardware that as found has a light patina of rust. The seat swivels freely in a circle. If you hold the swivel piece and turn the seat you height of the stool can be adjusted. My estimate is that the total height adjustment in no more than about 2 or 3 inches. With the stool adjusted to the minimum height it is about 32" to the top of the domed leather seat cover. The stool appears to be quite old. But there is no maker's identification. We purchased it as an estate item and we were not able to find out the age, the maker, or where it was made. Condition: PLEASE NOTE: I recently learned that the stool also had a circular foot rest that. As found, is missing. As found. The leather seat is split and cracked as seen. The leather cover appears not the be the ... moreoriginal cover. When viewed from the bottom through the wooden frame and metalwork you can see the remnants of what is probably the original caned seat. Also as found. It appears that a number of repairs were made to the attachments of the center cross bracing to the legs. There are several unused holes, several attachments appear to be via wood screws, while another has a crude repair with a nut and bolt protruding from the hole. Despite these repairs, the stool sits solidly and it in good usable condition. There are also some scuffs and scrapes on the finish on the legs in a number of places. This is a very nice looking old stool. It is being offered as found/ as described/ as seen with respect to the condition issues noted above. PLEASE NOTE: The stool is being offered for local sale only. We are not willing to ship this large heavy piece. We would welcome a purchase by a buyer in the Seattle/ King County/ Puget Sound area. The oa k is in good condition and untouched. I did not oil this or clean it. The velvet top shows much wear but is still intac t and I would not change it. Amazing piece of American Folk art. You are bidding on an authentic vintage adjustable piano stool. It is solid oak. It has lizard claw feet with scales and glass balls. I believe the lizard claw feet are solid brass but do not know for sure. The seat edge and the legs are carved as shown in the pictures. It is in quite good condition consistent with its approximately 100 year age. The wood is very solid. There are no scratches or gouges. There is one area on the central stem where the stain has been rubbed off and could use a touch-up. You can see it in picture number 2. Also. The legs need to be re-glued where they fit into the central stem as they are loose. The seat could use some polishing- see picture number 3. This is a beautiful. Elegant Victorian stool made entirely from elm which is most unusual. Between the turned legs is a cast iron stretcher with a circular detail in the centre and the words R H CONNOR TABLE MAKER MANCHESTER on the underside. The stool was once painted green and slight traces can still be seen on the base of the seat. I believe it may also have been upholstered at some time, possibly in leather, which probably explains why the seat is so smooth and tactile after all these years. I have researched R H Connor and found he worked in Manchester at 45 Thomas Street. I also found on the internet one of his Victorian cast iron centre tables in an auction about 4 years ago. I am including a photograph of the name and full address detail from that table as it shows that years on from the manufacture of this stool, Mr Connor progressed ... moreand continued to make fine quality furniture. CT- sorry can't read the company name. I'm guessing it is late 1800s- early 1900s. There are no breaks or repairs on the legs or supports that I can find. The seat is nice and solid- you can see where the original seam where the two pieces of oak were put together. But it isn't coming apart. There are 100+ years of small marks and scratches to the top, but they just give it character and could easily be sanded if you want to refinish it. Antique organ/piano stool with spin top adjustable to various heights. I believe it's made of oak. Looks similar to other Victorian stools I have found. Cast iron hardware underneath says"Chicago. Condition is good and still usable. Has cracked seat that was repaired by adding a metal piece underneath-see pictures. Also has one leg that was reattached-see pictures. I FOUND THIS OLD FOOT STOOL IN AN ATTIC IN NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA. IT IS OBVIOUSLY HAND MADE AND IS VERY STURDY. I BELIEVE IT IS OAK BUT I'M NOT POSITIVE. THE STOOL MEASURES 17"L X 10"W X 7 3/4"H. I HAVE TAKEN A PICTURE SHOWING THE OLD NAILS USED TO FASTEN THIS PIECE TOGETHER. THERE IS AN INSCRIPTION ON THE BOTTOM THAT READS: MADE FOR MRS HIRAM MAY MADE BY JOSHUA HECK DEC 21. 1914. Antique Eastlake Pump Organ in Oak, with stool
WOW Antique Oak Eastlake Pump Organ. Chas. E. Netzow Mfg. Co. Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mid 1890's. This unit plays very well and all of the keys. Levers, pumps, and knee swells work. Unit has 2 candle holder shelves, and a shelf for collectibles above the music holder. Marked on back: S.610 and 143856 The music holder lifts up for storage. And it even has a key for the working lock! Some of the labels have come off but I have them. But there are 3 that are missing, and may be inside the unit, we haven't looked. Pretty beveled mirror is original to the unit. And it is a two-piece unit that comes apart for shipping. Original crushed velvet is in some places and was not replaced. Dimensions approx. 81"H x 50"W x 23"D. Stool is not original to the organ. But was purchased from an English estate. The stool has 1 leg that has ... morebeen repaired, but displays nicely and has original velvet and trim. Seat is adjustable in height by rotating seat. I do not know the maker of the stool, only that it came from overseas. But I am including it in the auction so you have something to sit on. It is a lovely stool although repaired. This is a very attractive show piece that still has its original stain. And which is worn in spots but the overall patina is lovely. I did not want to refinish it since I am not an expert. Feel free to ask any questions. Unit is for local pickup OR buyer arranges and pays for their own shipping. The unit is on the first floor of our home and can be easily carted outside. We have 3 wide. And low steps on the front porch, so pickup can back right up to top level of porch. If paying for shipping.
