Early Red Paint 1800's Antique Rustic Wooden Primitive Old Farm Step Stool Bench
Offering today a terrific Primitive Step Stool we found at a local farm estate. This great step stool does not have any nails. It is all Mortise& Tenon construction. Still solid but I would not recommend using it as a daily step. This more of a primitive decor item or it would make a perfect child's bench. Measures 12" x 7-1/2" and 9" tall. This piece has true character with age appropriate wear and much of the old red paint still intact. There is a tight crack in the top board which looks like it may have been glued to protect it from separating many many years ago. I was told when I bought this table it was@200 yrs old. However. I don't know for sure. I have used this as my kitchen table for over 30 yrs, It has never been refinished as far as I know. It is in good condition with the normal amount of wear and scratches for a table this age. It measures 72" x29"and is 31" tall. The seat has a storage compartment in it.
