The fabric I choose was a copy of an old Williamsburg style fabric, so I felt it very appropriate for this lovely rare stool. I actually call it a bench because it is so large. Condition: The stool is in excellent condition with no breaks or flaws to the old lovely patina. There is a repair to one corner and I took pictures so you could see it. Other than that it is lovely. It has never been around animals or smoke. I restore and reupholster my furniture when needed and I have a big carriage barn that I store my antiques in.NO animals.NO smoke and I sell in lovely condition. Age is my best guess around 1790 to 1820. The rectangle of the footstool is not exactly square. Its off a little bit.but THAT IS HOW THEY MADE IT. A very charming& quite small Georgian solid Oak stool. Dating to around 1800& in superb condition with a wonderful colour& patina. It stands approx 8 1/4" tall. 10" wide& 9" deep. Made from solid Oak it is in ready to use condition or just display& would grace any home.It looks great from every angle& is also ideal to display antique dolls or teddy bears. This is an ornate antique Victorian adjustable piano/ organ/ harp stool. The stool is in great condition and has been restored. Re-glued and reinforced. It is made of solid maple that is stained walnut. It has metal claw and clear glass ball feet. The glass balls are not cracked and the legs and base are ornately turned. What appears to be the original seat has been covered with padding and vintage toile floral cloth. The cloth is not ripped or torn. The metal support plate attaching the seat to the adjustment screw has been placed with a 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" x 1/4" steel plate to provide ultimate reinforcement. There is some light wear and scratches from use on the wood. The seat is adjustable in height and has a large steel screw and shaft in the center which works pefectly. Untitled Document This antique 1800s Victorian footstool is a classic small round model measuring 11.25 inches in diameter and standing about 4 inches tall. The wooden stool is wrapped in a very bold and striking geometric parquetry inlay design. The decorative beaded overlay is disintegrated and is probably not salvagable. But the original green velvet undercover appears to be in excellent condition. The top comes right off by loosening the primitive wooden"nut" on the metal screw bolt underneath for easy removal of the degraded beadwork. The stool is missing its three small wooden feet, too, and you can see where they used to be on the underside of the stool, but the cutaways in the wood seem to give the stool feet-like structures, and the appearance is not really affected much. Probably crafted during the years of 1890-1910 during the height of the Rococo Revival period. It is a crisply executed piece. An overall breezy design, leveraging the play of the thin profile and tight formal lines against the bold and deep carvings along the hands and arms, it is a very successful presentation. The arms are molded, carved scales carefully layered along the top to culminate in carved acanthus handholds on all four corners, these are lifted on supports that flow in a single piece of wood from the handhold to the toe. Falling directly ... morebeneath each handhold is a floral display of bold and crisp execution, this flowing into a plain molded stile that squares at the frame, then turns and tapers in a stop-fluted leg terminating in a conical-ball foot. Here is a lovely antique corner or round chair for sale. This is a lovely hand carved piece still in very good condition. I have been told it is a Victorian George III corner chair. It is very solid and sturdy. A few nicks to the wood from age and some spotting on back side. I call it very good antique condition. This is an 1800's piece when they used wood rollers for the casters and those have worn away but the fittings are in tact. Lovely yellow cloth for the seat that has a velvet feel, I could not say if that is original or not, regardless this is a beautiful piece of antique furniture. The needlepoint is in good condition but there is a streak across one corner that appears to have been faded by sunlight. It is shown in one of the photos. When I got it for some reason the stuffing under the needlepoint was removed so the stuffing needs to be replaced. The finish appears to be original and is in good condition. Up for sale a beautiful antique wooden piano stool made by Tonk-out of Chicago and New York. America. This is hard wood-may be oak or maple. This is in nice condition-the wooden seat is free of cracks, it may have been refinished I do not know I am not the original owner, we have simply used a good wood cleaner on it. The seat is adjustable, it has a screw type of hardware under the seat that simply turns right or left to raise& lower it. There are a few marks on the seat-as pictured. This also has wooden legs and a ball& claw design foot. The 5th& 6th pictures are more true to color on the feet-the last 2 pictures look darker than they actually are. The hardware piece under the seat is marked with Tork Chicago& New York. Antique Small Round Foot Stool ~ Needlepoint Top ~ Cast Iron Legs ~ 1897-1903?
I am offering an antique small round Foot Stool with a Needlepoint top. It measures approx 10" in diameter and 7-1/4" tall. It is a wood base with four cast iron curved legs. The Needlepoint is an off brown color with what looks like a basket of flowers in center. The needlepoint is tight and all in really good shpe. With a a few loose threads, could snip off, but I have left as is and I am not sure how old Needlepoint is. Not sure if all is original, but now has what looks like painted gold around wood edge of stool, on the round balls under edge between each leg, and gold on the outside of the 4 legs, black inside. Around the approx 1" edge it is worn and has knicks, pictures will show. The tacks holding in the needlepoint are the original brown color. The legs are fastened tight with screws and one must have come out at ... moresometime because a newer screw has been used on one leg, and a picture will show. It has been in my family since new and was purchased from Wormser Furn. Co. in Fresno, CA. You will see where someone wrote 1897 on back, not sure who, but Wormser Furn bult a new store in 1903. Beautiful Antique Elm and Oak Stool - R H Connor Tablemaker Manchester
This is a beautiful. Elegant Victorian stool made entirely from elm which is most unusual. Between the turned legs is a cast iron stretcher with a circular detail in the centre and the words R H CONNOR TABLE MAKER MANCHESTER on the underside. The stool was once painted green and slight traces can still be seen on the base of the seat. I believe it may also have been upholstered at some time, possibly in leather, which probably explains why the seat is so smooth and tactile after all these years. I have researched R H Connor and found he worked in Manchester at 45 Thomas Street. I also found on the internet one of his Victorian cast iron centre tables in an auction about 4 years ago. I am including a photograph of the name and full address detail from that table as it shows that years on from the manufacture of this stool, Mr Connor progressed ... moreand continued to make fine quality furniture. An old footstool. With a carved Gothic panel top depicting the"Green Man" of English folklore. The panel looks quite a bit older than the legs. I suspect that the panel originally came from some other piece of furniture. And was converted into a footstool, perhaps some time in the 20th century? The top is three-quarters of an inch thick. And measures 14 1/2 inches x 6 1/2 inches Altogether a nice decorative piece. With a good traditional country theme. The edges of the top panel have clearly been scuffed and knocked quite a lot. Particularly along the edge which is the"bottom" of the picture- the long edge beneath the Green Man's chin. Condition: Good condition. With no major damage, but plenty of marks, scuffs and scrapes from normal use. The panel that forms the top of the stool appears to be considerably older than ... morethe base and legs. We are pleased to offer this incredible. Antique, Arts and Crafts period(late 1800s to early 1900s) polychrome iron bench! This gorgeous bench is heavily constructed and very sturdy. It features a unique design with a large, double faced coat of arms or crest on each end. The crest has chess pieces as its emblem, 2 rooks and 2 spades on each. The crest is gilded and painted in red and blue. The double sided faces allow the design to be seen from under the bench as well. Each end has two hammered iron legs which are black with red highlights. There are two bottom twisted iron supports that attach the bench together. The legs are in a drapery tassel pattern. The bench still retains the original textural fabric. It is a golden brown color and has a celtic pattern which compliments the entire feel of the bench. It is in good condition but does ... morehave a small hole in one area and some minor aging. It can be re-upholstered very easily. The bench is in wonderful, antique condition. The paint is still vivid and the gold gilded finish excellent. There are minor rusted spots to the iron in just a few areas, but only very slight. It has a feature that is extremely rare.ornate applied carvings on both the outside of the end panels as well as on the inside of the panels(near the top on the inside) In 12 or more years of buying and selling 400 or more antique church pews. I have never had any with applied carvings on the inside of the end panels. The pew has been shortened from its original length and is just as it was used in the church; I have gone over it with Old English to cover over scratches from the nearly 100 years of usage. It is completely authentic and is an attractive looking piece that would look great in your family room. Entry way, on your porch or patio, in a sun room, in an office or reception area, or just about anywhere seating you would like to place them. The ... morepew is 52 inches wide at the rear of the pew. You can see that both end panels taper in slightly. Making the front of the pew slightly narrower than the back of the pew. The end panels are 38 1/2" high. When placed against the wall. The pew will extend out into the room 24" Seat height is 15 1/2" from the floor and seat depth is 15" There is a slight curvature to the benches that you can see in the pictures. There is a very nice 32 inch wide hymnal rack attached to the back side of the pew. There is also a copper visitor card or small envelope holder on the back; this is probably not original to the pew but was added at some time by the church in Williamsport. The pew has some scuffs and rubs in the finish from well over 100 years of service in the church but it is very sturdy and in nice cosmetic condition. The pew was originally much longer with a middle support piece in place.perhaps 20 feet long or more. This is an antique highback swivel piano stool/chair. It was made in the late 1800's by Tonk- Chicago& New York. This chair is in very good condition for it's age. Very sturdy. it has the glass ball claw feet. It's a very nice piece of furniture to have for your collection. Max Tonk, born in Berlin in 1851, went with his family to Chicago in 1857. He learned to carve and worked in his uncle's piano and organ factory carving embellishments of the instruments. Antique French Foot Stool. An all original late 19 th century French oval footstool. With a mahogany frame and needlepoint top displaying flowers and leaves in various shades of greens reds and blues. With the outer edge in a matching rope. The top lip is in solid mahogany and the lower edging is mahogany veneer with just a few minor arrears of damage( please see pics) and four original bun feet. A beautiful example for a period room. Stool has cast iron gold ornate legs and have black felt tips. It is 8 1/2" tall. 13 1/2" long and 9 1/2" wide. Foot stool is in good condition, but the velvet is soiled. 1893 Church Pew 122" Long Bench More Available Almost 120 years old! Search What I have to offer here is a very old church pew. This church was built in 1892 and all of the contents are original. The board of directors of the church and cemetery are selling 4 of these church pews to raise money to save the church building. This auction is for a 122" long pew. It is the longer pew. Shown in the pictures that I have available. The pew measures 122" by 30" tall and is 14" in depth. We are selling 4 of the large pews(shown in the picture better) This auction is for one pew. But we would be willing to sell more on a first come first serve basis. They were used from the time the church was built in 1893 until about 1965 when the last congregation had church in the building. The pews aren't perfect. There are scraps ... moreand scars from use. They haven't been varnished for probably 50 years. They are very solid, and made of good wood material. They are rather plain. No ornate features on them. For more information about the church.
