Amazing hand crafting in this very old stool-I am sure quite old-1800's(earlier?unusual small size-7 1/2" high-7" diameter. One of the legs is a touch shorter than the others. Is this what is called'shaker' style? I am not an expert on this type of collectible-but I think it is something quite special and quite old. Mahogany window seat hall bench upholstered in Scalamandre cut silk velvet
Handsome mahogany window seat or hall bench upholstered in Scalamandre's Pomfret( 26692-012) velvet. The velvet alone sells for $229.50 per yard- see my screen shot from Scalamandre's website. The bench and upholstery are in good condition. The ends or arms of the bench have a little bit of wiggle to them. But the bench is sturdy. One side of the bench appears to have been sat upon more than the other and so is a bit more"squished" than the other side. In my opinion. The bench is at least turn of the 20th century, if not older. I have not removed the dust cover from the underside to see the construction. Note that I have rotated the bench 180 degrees for photos. So both sides and both ends are shown.

We are so excited to offer this wonderful. RARE antique primitive oak Riverboat Bench. We acquired this charming piece along with a couple of other pieces. From the front porch of an old farm house that’s over a hundred years old. This wonderful bench is really old. Approximately 1820-1890 and is in terrific shape. It has some scratches and cracks and shows signs of use and being in the weather. But otherwise has a lot of character and is very durable. This bench measures 70 inches x 12 ¾ inches by ¾ inch for the seat; is 31 ½ inches in overall height; the seat measures 67 ¼ inches and has notches on each end for the seat to swivel each notch is 1 ¼ inches by 10 inches; the seat is 16 ½ inches from the ground and the back is 72 inches in length. It is rare to find a Arts& Craft footstool made from solid walnut. This item is in excellent condition and all the legs are extremely tight with no loose joints. Wonderful true antique french Louis XV carved footstool dates mid to late 1800's The wood is walnut and is rectangular in shape measuring 12 1/4 long. 10" wide and 6.5" high. The frame is in fantastic, strong condition. The upholstery is it's original-it was mohair but is completly worn away. The webbing is very dry and the material used for stuffing is straw. Again a wonderful antique piece that simply needs new upholstery to bring it up to par again!

This charming little Victorian stool is very old. We have had this sweet footstool for many years. It surely held the high top shoes of a child or young lady in a Victorian home. The old brown paint is giving way to the antique blue paint which covers an old yellow paint. The tufted top is worn and held by metal brass tacks. The banding is missing for 4" on one end and you can see the original condition of the top which is blue velvet. This little stool is about 8.5" tall. Offering for sale a Authentic Antique J. Briggs Piano Stool. The underside of the seat base plate has the following stamped into it's steel plate: J. Briggs. Warran, Ind. October 23, 1866, Piano Stool, Dec' 10, 1867, Patent Peterboro, N.H" I'm guessing one of the dates is the'Patent Date' and the other the date of actual manufacturer. However, I'm not an antique expert so I really am guessing? It is authentic and original. Except for the wood seat which is made of plywood. Someone along the stools long history has replaced the wood seat top. All the bolts, and the wood pedestal appear to be original, including the three iron legs. I believe the legs are made of cast iron? The wood pedestal has a pretty large crack in it, so it would have to be repaired if you actually intend to use it for sitting. The wood is ... morerough, I would be rough too if I were that old. Hehe! I'm really looking for a serious buyer who can restore this beauty or leave it intact with the intent of preserving its history. Antique Footstool Bull Horns
This item is an old footstool made from old bullhorns. It is in good working condition and can hold my weight of 200 pounds. The nails used to make it seem to be hand made and the stuffing seems to be some kind of straw. This is a really old beaded Victorian foot stool. I have no idea who could have/ would have made it. But there is just a ton of work in it. Unfortunately due to age and use, there is plenty of wear as pics show. But yet still beautiful in its own way. I have had many old foot stools in the past but never one I can remember with the beads. Tonk Antique Piano Stool of Unusual Classical Design
Very unusual design for a Tonk screw type piano stool. This stool has been refinished. The wood is either part or all mahagony. The seat had been cracked and repaired- glued and reinforced- very strong. The sleeve that the screw part fits into should be glued to the bottom part so that it doesn't slip out. The bottom legs are also reinforced underneath for added strength. This is fairly heavy so would be sent UPS or USPS; whichever is more reasonable. Or picked up if you are in NYC.

Stool has its original black painted finish and original upholstered mohair cushion. Probably had velvet ribbon covering the tacks around the edge of stool. But that is missing. The well worn finish has stenciling and striping. The antique character has been preserved with a coat of clear lacquer. Hand planing marks are visible everywhere. Arms are maple. Joints have hand cut wooden pegs on this strong and durable American country furniture. Runners were flattened a little on the bottom as shown, but this rocker bench still rocks comfortably. Beaded Needlepoint Victorian English Footstool
This sale is for a small Victorian English beaded needlepoint stool. Fortunately. The beading and wool is complete. I cannot find any loose or missing beads. The design is almost a Celtic one using black, silver(pewter) and bronze glass beads. The background of the needlepoint is a red wool. The footstool is about 4" high and 12" in diameter. The 3 porcelain ball feet protrude slightly from the stool edge. These often are seen with wood veneered bases, but this one is gold painted. It doesn't appear to have ever been veneered. It has an aged look to it, but the most attractive aspect is the beading. Please email me with any questions.

It has a beautiful nutty medium dark brown patina. And it has been constructed from several types of wood(perhaps oak, fir, walnut) The elegant fretwork of the two ends/ legs and the“aprons” on the two long sides“forced” us to buy it. It is in good used vintage/ antique condition. There are marks. Rubs, scratches, abrasions, etc. We have never even oiled it. But you could cover up some of this evidence of age and use/ wear with an oil(like Old English scratch cover) There is a small section of one top corner edge missing(about 1” x ½” x 1/8” The top of the stool is approximately 8 ¾” x 15” x under ¾” thick. I bought this piece from a fellow antique dealer from PA. She found this a farm estate sale early this spring. This appears to be the base of a kitchen cabinet that was some time ago repurposed as a work bench. Has a thick wood top applied over the original wood top. There is a heavy duty vice still fixed to the front left corner. Selling as is. While the paint colors and surface are uneven. It does have a nice rustic look to it! Measures 67" long is 35.5" high x 21.5" deep. Two drawers with some original victorian style hardware still present. One shelf inside doors/bottom area. Has open back!
