Antique stool. Very old with lovely legs. I think that the legs are elm. The top measures 18cms by 26cms. It stands 23cms high. The legs are nicely splayed. The stool has no repairs. No wood worm or rock. It stands well. There is evidence of old saw cuts and indentations on the top which add to the character of this lovely stool. It has been cleaned and waxed and would make an ideal present for anyone who likes old wooden objects. It makes a good coffee table beside a chair or a stand in the bathroom for the loo roll.

This is an antique organ or piano stool.It is 14" high from base to top. will raise several inches. top is 12.5" X 16.25" just needs a piece of foam and some upholstery fabric I got it at auction several years ago and was refinishing chairs for my store. it was in bad shape. I took off the very worn fabric on top and my Father made the pieces for the corners and duplicated one finial.he did this in his late 80's and has since passed at 91. I closed the store and this is the state it has been in in my basement for 8 years. Victorian Empire Mahogany Foot Stool/Ottoman~Flame Veneer~Ornate & Unusual
I bought this stool at an estate auction in Virginia about 20 years ago. And just loved its unusual shape. The wood looks to be flame veneer mahogany over pine. And is in good condition for its age with some minor chips. There is an old repaired break of one leg. But with 20 years of use it has never been a problem. Not really noticeable…see photos. It retains its original castors. This piece measures 17” high. And the cushion is 19” square. The top is upholstered in pink honeybee fabric which is ready to be replaced. In one area you can see the muslin underneath. Though it looks like it might be hard to reupholster. I think that if the fabric was carefully removed at the seams with a seam ripper, and the pieces used to make a pattern, it could be successfully reupholstered in an afternoon, with probably one or two of the side seams needing ... moreto be hand sewn. That was my plan, but we are downsizing to a smaller home, and I’ll leave the fabric selection and its renewal to someone else. The top is quite significant made and heavy(16 pounds) with a sturdy wood frame and lots of padding. While the base is only 7 pounds before boxing and packaging. Especially given that it is over 100 years old. It is very sturdy, and supported my 200 pound frame with no problem. There is no obvious damage to the chair that I could find. This really is an amazing old antique stool. I am guessing mid 1800's. It is rather heavy. Solid wood, possibly Mahogany or? Cast iron legs with detailed design. Adjusting seat base, but is not currently working(see pics) Threads in the base see to be reamed out a little, but could be fixed. There is a water mark where I put my coffee cup by accident(see pics) but could be restained and fixed easily. After just cleaning the legs this now has the wonderful aged look that this has spent years developing. The top of the stool has a 9 ¾” diameter and is 3” tall down to the edging and it is roughly 7 ½” tall in total. The Cast Iron Legs are 4 ⅜” tall– are 3 ⅝” wide at the top– and 1 ⅝” wide at the bottom. This has a footprint of roughly 12” x 10 ½” The legs still tighten securely to the top. I found this in a barn. It had a broken in half seat on it. Not 2 halves. Just one. Not in nice condition, but someone that knows what they are doing, might like this. Or someone that likes the steampunk look. I thought about putting an old metal tractor seat on it. I will include flat head screws i took out of seat. One claw comes off of wood, one leg is a little wobbly, and someone who did not know what they were doing tried to glue with the foaming glue. Seat adjusts up and down. The glass balls have bubbles in glass,seams in glass, some chips(do not affect stability) Metal claws seem rusty. Do not know what wood is.

Antique Adjustable Piano/Organ Stool w Crystal Ball/Claw Bird Feet Merriam
Age is late 1800's to early 1900's. 19 1/2" fully down-24" fully up to where the threads come undone so about 23" of safe usable height. Seat is 14 1/2" diameter and dished in the middle for comfort. Signed A. Merriam& Co So. Acton Mass. Leg spread is 13 1/2" across the closest feet. 18 1/2" across the farthest. Glass/crystal balls are loaded with air bubbles and in good shape. Very ornate claw feet with toes and claws and scales to look like bird feet. Threads in the iron mounting mechanism look good and are not worn out and it adjusts nicely. Wood is probably walnut but might be oak as heavy as it is. There are some shallow drying cracks that don't go anywhere. Wood is rather a dull color-not a shiny finish so the finish is probably pretty much gone but is even in color. You might want to oil ... moreit up or something but overall it is quite usable the way it is. Joints are slightly loose but not enough to pop anything apart and do any gluing. I am going to remove the 4 screws that hold the iron to the bottom of the seat to hold the box size down for shipping. I like to put a dab of wood glue on the threads when i put these old items back together. Decent Antique Red Mahogany Glass Clawfoot Piano Stool
I picked up some nice items last week at the Brimfield show and wanted to get some more neat things into the shop to try to jumpstart sales a bit. This is in very good condition and the bottom frame legs and stringers are solid with no repairs and holding strong and straight. It is a bit different in that it is a second in a way because the adjustment platform is not turned all the way around when it was lathed way back when. I did not notice it until He was lugging it back to the car. I have sold everyone of these I have ever purchased and offered so I always try to purchase when I can reasonably and with the sturdiness and decent finish of this one I like it. Antique Needlepoint Top Mahogany 14" x 14" x 11" Foot Rest/Stool
I went to a good estate auction the other night in old and historic Sturbridge Mass and scored three mirrors and three clocks and this excellent foot stool were all part of the same estate and fresh to the market. I just like this overlooked but popular piece of furniture and have always done well to keep an watchful eye. This is all original and in great condition and should make an alert shop visitor pretty happy. The needlepoint area is in the best condition I have seen and the frame never repaired. It measures about 14" square x 11" tall. And I'm guessing this to be from right around 1860's-80's, I think rite after the Civil War time frame. Not sure what style to call it to me Federal is the closer than Eastlake, Empire, Queen Anne even though the legs are sort of. I tried to take some good pictures to show it off ... morea bit and also tried to price it it nicely to make it a worthy investment that will not lose value. The bench is quite large, please observe the measurements listed below. This piece was purchased by me at the Pierre Deux store in Milburn, NJ when it was still open. As you may know the wonderful French Country Pierre Deux Stores are all out of business. I paid $2500.00 for it. This is not a Pierre Deux catalogue piece. A HANDSOME 19th CENTURY VICTORIAN WALNUT FOOT STOOL In the ROCOCO or LOUIS XV STYLES of the 18th CENTURY FLORAL& FOLIAGE DECOR ELEMENTS. NICELY HAND-CARVED LEGS. FEET& STRETCHERS. ITALIAN MID to LATE 19th CENTURY. AS IS NEEDS A FAIRLY MINOR RESTORATION The end of one stretcher has been split. And lost a small piece of wood with no carving on its surface, which measures around 1 by 1/4 by 1/16 inches. See images& details near end of listing. GREAT PATINA/ORIGINAL FINISH. Offered is a very fine old(mid- to late-19th Century) Rococo-style Italian footstool. Approximately 15 by 12 by 9 inches. It weighs about 3 pounds, 5 ounces(1502 grams) Above is visible a very minor/wanna-be crack below and to the right of the blossom. Also visible in the following and my first images. I believe it's walnut. But my expertise regarding wood ... moreis quite limited, so. Poor placement of above nails does not show that the center one is substantially shorter than the other two; suggesting a hand-finished process? The above and two following images show the only notable flaw. The one I mentioned at the start of this listing. Note that the hand-carved pin is flawless. The split is quite clean, and the small section of lost wood has a flat, fully un-carved surface. CONDITION VERY GOOD PLUS, WITH ONE NOTEWORTHY FLAW, as clearly shown& described in 4th. 5th& 6th above pictures. Apparently should be disassembled& re-glued. But the original finish& patina should be fully salvageable if desired. One notable but fairly easily restorable flaw notwithstanding. Vtg 1870's antique 19th century wood foot stool with needlepoint flowers
It is 4"H and 12"L x 9 1/2"W. Some balding areas on the needle point. That would be expected considering it's age and intended use. The previous owner added eye hooks and wire to the back so it could be hung on a wall for display. These can be simply unscrewed to remove but it will leave 2 small holes on the back. The pad is filled with horse hair. and there is a tear on the back cover. Those are not cracks in the wood on the sides. They appear to just be a natural part of the wood and was always there. 10 beautiful pews hand carved oak with very ornate detail. These come from Grace United Church of Christ in Covington KY prior to 1920 the church was call the German Reformed Church. Wood and some type of leather footstool. Lovely stool with remnants of white paint. The wood is in vintage worn condition with chipping paint. Surface and edge wear. The leather is also in worn condition with surface wear, a little discoloration and rusted upholstery tacks. Some of the leather is lifting up a bit from the stool in the one corner and some of the tacks are loose. All of this adds to the charm and character of this great piece. BEAUTIFUL VICTORIAN CARVED MAHOGANY& HAND CRAFTED TAPESTRY TOP ROUND FOOTSTOOL BEAUTIFUL MAHOGANY AND TAPESTRY TOPPED FOOTSTOOL This delightful piece of furniture dates from the mid to late Victorian period. The footstool measures 30.4cm in diameter and stands approximately 17cm high. The base of carved mahogany is strong and sturdy. To the graduated frame of the footstool top there is an area approximately 6cm in length where the wood has been shaved away. This is nor immediately noticeable and judging by the colour happened many years ago. A few bumps, bruises and tiny nicks on the edge of the wood commensurate with age and use which add to the lovely patina of the mahogany. The footstool stands on four carved legs and has a carved border best appreciated through the many photographs. The hand stitched tapestry has a few minor areas ... moreof wear again this is not immediately noticeable. A lovely example sure to grace any home.
