Henredon X Formed Regency Style Window Bench Ottoman Metallic Silver Pewter
This gorgeous X formed bench was made by Henredon. It is large in size measuring 33.5" wide by 21.5" wide by 25" in height. The bench is done in metallic silver/pewter leaf. It has 4 metal medallions on each side of the roll arm. And a lion medallion on the bottom of each side. I took the bench outside for better photographs and to also show a couple issues I would like to point out. There are several areas on the bench that the silver leaf has flaked off. On one side of the bench. There is a two inch area on each side that is missing the silver leaf. This is visible in the 6th photograph I have posted. Heavily Carved 3 Leg Claw/Paw Wall Bench with Upholstered Geometric Fabric Seat. The 3 supportings legs are heavily carved in identical motifs. The feet are carved depicting 4 toes/talons with nails and fur/feathers on the backside. The feet are framed on the front topside in square rosette medallions. With triangular cut square medallions on both sides. The middle and upper portion of the legs are curved in a scroll/volute shape, with scrolls encasing the front(knee' acanthus leaf with beaded center line portion. The sides are heavily carved in a volute style circular pattern with a large ornate rosette center(leaves& berries) and a repeated pattern of triangular cut square medallions. Between the volute pattern and the stem to the claw/foot base is a very unique floral style carving with 2 textured ruffled layers. The top of the ... morelegs are adorned with anthemion style leaves that cascade down towards the rosette center and front acanthus leaves. The rectangular seat top is finished in a geometric wool/blend fabric with shades of muted gold. Beige, and black stripes. Bands of single piping trim frame the seat top and sides. It is hard to specify the exact period of the bench. But by the quality and seams/hardware it looks like a Late 19th Century/Turn of the Century piece. Antique English Victorian Mahogany Vanity Bench Piano Organ Stool Window Seat
This beautiful piano bench was made in England. Most likely in the late 1800s, possibly very early 1900s. It is made of solid wood, which I believe to be mahogany. It has a beautiful rich medium tone, reddish brown in color. The wood has a beautiful grain which I have tried to capture in the photographs. Underneath the seat is a cast iron mechanism that allows the seat to be raised or lowered using the knobs on the side. The mechanism was made and patented by the Marsden company and is in perfect working order. The wood on the underside of the stool and part of the mechanism is stamped"Marsden's Patent LEEDS 542. See photos) The bench features splayed legs. With lovely turned designs. It is well made and very sturdy, suitable for daily use as a piano bench or vanity seat. The cushioned seat has been replaced and recovered in a gold ... moreand beige fabric, but could easily be switched out to match your decor. It is in good condition, no stains. The bench weighs approximately 14 pounds. And measures 19 inches tall, 21 inches wide, and 14 inches deep. When raised to its maximum height it is 22 inches tall. CONDITION: This is an antique piece. And as such it does have signs of wear. There are small nicks and dents that do not affect the structural integrity of the piece(please see photos for examples. I feel these marks, which are visible only on close inspection, serve to further illustrate the true antique nature of the bench. There are no major damaged areas and no missing pieces. Spanish Colonial Revival Iron Fireside/Window Bench 1910-1930 ~ NOT a Replica
The height of popularity for this style of furniture was Circa 1830 to 1850. A revival of it was brought about again in Circa 1910 to 1930- the Spanish Colonial Revival style. This piece is from that era. It was part of my grandmother's collection of antiques. She was the antiques expert- I had to ask an expert about this fireside bench(he was the one that gave me the above information) So please view all pictures and if you have any questions, I will answer them promptly and to the best of my ability. Measurements(approximate) Bench seat: 42.5 inches long, Arm-to-arm: 49 inches long, Bench seat: 18 inches tall, tallest part of the arms: 26 inches tall, Bench seat: 14 inches wide, This bench is heavy(approximately 52 lbs. and very solidly built. Markings: Pat. Pend. and"Verona 75" stamps underneath on the frame in two places. ... moreNot only did the Spanish Revival style consist of wooden furniture with inlays and carvings. But also the integration of leather and nail heat trim. I can just imagine how beautiful this bench would be if it were reupholstered in leather! Damaged/missing: 1) one flower-shaped nut/bolt missing from one of the two bars that make up the arms at the seat level. And 2) a break in one of the decorative scrolls on one end- to the left of the'Aladdin Lamp' decoration(see pictures) Other than the damage and missing part mentioned above, it is in excellent condition- no apparent repairs. Paint and design are original. It has been reupholstered, but I do not know when. This fireside bench can be picked up in Fort Worth. Texas, after payment has been confirmed through PayPal. FRENCH LOUIS XVI STYLE CARVED GILT STOOL OR WINDOW BENCH France c. 1900 Item# 409AUQ20 This is a beautiful French Louis XVI Style bench crafted with skill and integrity during the late 19th or early 20th century. The carving is of a quality above reproach in a manner typical of the period. The frame with a repeating and laurel leaf motif flanked on either corner by highly detailed rosettes set over turned and tapered legs with crisp fluting beneath a bold acanthus knee and terminating in bold ring turned feet. It is covered with an early velour of a mellow rusty hue with wonderful variation throughout, in our opinion a very attractive companion to the bench in it's current condition. This is a very striking piece, the burnished gilding particularly well done and brilliant under the light surface oxidization and tarnish. LOOK! Beautiful Window or Bench seat cushions; custom done, decorator fabric
Two beautiful Window or Bench seat cushions measuring 38x21x5. These were made from high end decorator fabric[I think Waverly? at the time. And are washable, scotchguard and stain resistant from what I recall about the fabric. I believe they are a cotton chintz or cotton sateen from the feel and look. And there is nothing cheap about the fabric or thread count. They are piped in cranberry all-around and have long zippers for ease of removing the cushions. They were made with high density foam. Wrapped in poly-dacron for shape and comfort. French Or American Regency? Style Window Bench Ottoman Lion Heads Curved Wood
Please forgive me if I have identified this incorrectly but I believe this is a French or American Regency period piece. Perhaps walnut. Dating it to or between 1850-1900. Pretty curved window bench French design yet the wheat medallion makes me think American. The piece has wonderful animal heads most likely Lions though I also see eagle heads or mythical heads depending on the day and my mood: The bottom has a number-4663- whichay be a patent date. I personally think this is an amazing piece even though it has a chip in the leg and a piece of wood missing on one side. Photos will accurately show the repairs needed. This is solid and stunning.
