Large Old Pine Wood Settle Hall Bench Primitive Vintage Rustic Decorator's Piece
What an amazing decorator's piece. If you are a designer. Professional or amatuer this is certainly a signature piece! Out of an estate in Brooklyn. A nice large old pine settle-bench. That is a bench that converts into a table. It was obtained sometime in the ealry 70s and was stored for many years in a clean dry garage. It got a good home in an upstate cabin but I have to move it out for a piece of needed furntiure. I am no expert on Settle Benches and I know little to nothing about this type of furnitue. I tried to research it and I cannot get a feel for how old it actually is. It is made of solid pine. There is a long strip down the center of the table back. I don't know what caused it. It may have been where a seam is located. I have no idea how to touch this up or if even needs to be touched. There is one butterfly wing nut and the other nut is a hexagon nut. This works just as well. wooden part is 19 1/4" long and depth of seat is 5 1/2" The wood has grayed. There are few dried wood splits in the wood, this doesn't make it less usable. It could easily be repainted, left shabby, used as a vanity display shelf or any number of individual ideas. Made in Buffalo. New York. Vintage school desk. I can't confirm the manufacture date. The latest patent date marked on it is 1898, but I can only confirm that it was recovered in the early 1950's by a Portland, Oregon firefighter before his team burned a decrepit school house down for training. It's worn and has markings from students past. Including hearts and initials. There is a chunk of the shelf under the desktop broken off, shown clearly in the pictures. The desk itself is two-tone wood and the frame is wrought iron. MEASUREMENTS: The desk top is 28" high by 24" wide by 16" deep. The seat is 15" high by 24" wide by 13" deep. The seat back is 16" high by 24" wide and stands 31" tall off the ground. If the seat is folded up the desk measures 26" wide side to side. Vintage Handmade Maple Wood Bicentennial "Deacons" Bench Limited 5000 Ever Made
1976 Limited Edition Bicentennial Bench. Also referred to as a Deacons Bench. This bench has the makers stamp on the bottom of the bench as well as branded into the back of the bench so please look at the photos closely and you will see the marks on the back and bottom. This is all handmade out of maple wood and hand painted. This bench is made by Standard Chair of Gardner Inc. which is in Massachusetts. This was a limited edition bench only made in 1976 for the 200 year anniversary of this country. They only made 5000 of these bench which is all maple wood. And they sold for $129 in 1976, and that the value has increased quite a bit seeing how they are limited and not many left out there in good condition. The details are great especially knowing that this was all hand done and done so long ago. This is in great condition there a few minor ... morescratches and wear marks expected for the age of the piece. The bench measures 47 1/4in wide x 14 1/2in deep x 28in tall. The seat itself measures 41 1/2in wide x 13 3/4in deep. I will hold the item for the buyer for as long as you need to make arrangements for pick up. You can always arrange for your own shipping. This is a vintage 1980's ETHAN ALLEN Georgian Court Cherry Vanity Stool/ Bench/ Ottoman. Both the cherry wood and upholstery are in very nice condition. There are a few minor scuffs from use and some fading to the fabric. And the upholstery. The upholstered seat has a corded edge and the fabric is a light blue and ivory stripe. The padded seat is in excellent condition. The cherry wood is beautiful and has Queen Anne legs. The seat measures 22 inches x 14 inches. At the top of the legs. The stool is a bit wider than the seat. Measured at the top of the legs, the stool is 24 inches x 16 inches. The stool is also 19 inches tall. This stool has been discontinued by Ethan Allen. This vintage doll's vanity and bench looks like a style out of the 1940's. Although I am not positive of the age. It is tastefully put together and would make a nice addition to a collection for your dolls, or for that little ladie's dollies. The mirror is replaced and should be glued in as it fits nicely in the slot that it almost looks original to the set. I will leave the"gluing" to the buyer when received. The drawers are 4 1/2" long x 2 1/4" wide. A very nice vintage set and one that you will probably never see again too soon.

This is a rare Tryon Toy Makers and Wood Carvers bench. It is a Gothic bench with a dragon as Eleanor Vance and Charlotte Yale whom started Tryon Toy Makers had an interest in Gothic designs and were a major factor in the Craft Revival. More info can be found at: I have been in contact with Mike McCue. Author of"The Tryon Toy Makers and Wood Carvers: A History 1915-1940" and we have exchanged several emails. That was the nature of the enterprise, to represent artistry and craftsmanship at its finest. I especially like the quatrefoil in the ends and the stretcher, different from any other I’ve seen.
