The drawers are dovetailed and i would guess this was made in the early 1900's. Perhaps even as early as 1890. The cabinet has some wear, mainly around the feet but no cracks, breaks or repairs. It is very solidly constructed and is still as solid as the say it was made. Vintage Industrial Steel Draftsmans Stool Manufactured by the Cramer Co.Inc. Kansas City. Missouri- The Cramer Co. developed the"Air Flow Posture Chair" back in 1934. They were leaders in the office furniture market. Designing chairs to support the posture and comfort of every seated worker. During World War ll. Cramer designed crew chairs for heavy bombers and gunner chairs for Navy Battleships. In 1948 Cramer aluminum chairs were even accepted as the standard for the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. They did much to introduce and incorporate ergonomics into office seating. The frame is constructed of welded steel tubing The seat base and its adjusting mechanism are cast aluminum The stool sits on four hard rubber. Pivoting wheels The steel footrest adjusts vertically between 5-15" and measures 19" diameter ... moreThe seat adjusts vertically from 23-30" and measures 17" wide x 16" deep. The adjustment lever is missing so I add a key ring to use when adjusting the seat height(see photos) It also has a tilt adjustment The backrest pivots and is adjustable in height and depth. The vertical adjustment mechanism gives the stool a bold mechanical aesthetic The seat and backrest are foam padded and covered with green leather. The back cover is original. The seat cover has been replaced with a registered seat cover from the CRAMER company and is tagged with the part number. Although it doesn't fit as snug as it did originally. It stays on just fine but as you can see in the photos the padding shows around the edge when you look at it from the bottom. This Draftsmans Stool is in overall great vintage condition. The base is the original silver color and has all the wear expected and desired in a stool that has been in service for at least 50 yrs. Here is a vintage. Old, original combination fishing tackle box and seat. It does not have any maker names. The measurements are; folded, 21" by 17" by 6" Open, it's 17" high by 16" by 12" The 13-1/2" by 6" by 4" metal tackle box has a plastic tray inside. Two of the rubber leg tips were missing so I've replaced all 4, the remaining 2 will be included inside the tackle box. This is a vintage COSCO brand step stool from the mid 50's. It is in great condition and shows little wear for its age. This stool has a vinyl covered. Padded seat. There are two small spots in the vinyl on the seat. They look a little bigger than a pin hole and can be seen in the last photo(one near the upper right and one near the lower left. The bottom step has some light rust starting and there is some rust spotting on the metal legs, as would be expected with a piece of this age. Midcentury vintage industrial swivel seat stool. It is made by Royal Manufacturing. Found this cool looking vintage stool at auction. It has a great. Well used look. It had a nasty, stained fabric cushion on it when I bought it. It didn't look right on the stool, besides I wouldn't sit on it anyway. I replaced it with a multi layered laminated recycled plywood seat. It fits well with the vintage look and adds to the character of the old beautiful stool. I did nothing more than replace the seat and oil the adjusting knob. No paint was added or taken away. Kind of cool to think where this stool has been and who has used it after all these years. It's in original condition and fully functional. The upholstery looks to be original to the seat. It has a couple of small holes in woven fabric. The metal backrest can be adjusted- there is a 360 degree hardened rubber footrest- it also has a bookshelf attached behind the back seat. The height of this stool seat adjusts from 18" to 24" tall. The base measures approx. 22" diagonally to the outside of the legs. The seat is 16" wide by 14" deep, and the backrest is 14" wide by 5-1/2" tall. Overall condition is very good. Vintage drum throne stool from a mid-50s Slingerland Radio King kit - no reserve
You are bidding on a vintage drum throne with no reserve. I'd probably classify this as a refurb project. But it's in good enough shape to display and sit on. I'm gonna let the photos tell most of the story, so please take a gander. A couple of summers ago. I purchased a mid-50s Slingerland Radio King kit from the grandfather of one of my students, and this throne was included in the sale. That's pretty much all I know about it. It has no branding or trademark on it that I could find. Structurally. It's in fine shape with one exception: the set screw that secures the seat bracket to the post is stripped. The screw insert may be stripped, too; it's hard to tell. Otherwise, everything else works okay– I can't say everything works perfectly, because it takes a little coaxing to spread out the legs and to raise and ... morelower the post(the thing is 50-60 years old after all) The T-screw and clamp that sets the post does work perfectly. Look at the photo of the seat cover. The cover has a nice gash in it; there are a few other signs of wear(mostly small spots where the vinyl has worn through) But the top is completely intact. The wooden base is unbroken and the bracket is intact and fastened securely to the base. You can see from the photos that the seat can be raised to about 30.5 inches and lowered to about 18.5 inches. Strange thing: The post is nickel plated and the legs are chrome plated. Look at the close-up photos of the legs— they show a general depiction of the rust on the chrome and nickel.
