Vintage Carved Wood Footstool With Needlepoint- Antique Gout Foot Stool Up for sale is this antique oval footstool with a needlepoint footrest. There are no markings as to the maker. Year or origin. The footstool is in overall very good condition for it's age. As I'm not a collector please look at the photo's carefully. The stool padding and needlepoint cover does have normal wear. However it is all intact. The stool base looks like a hardwood, which is handcarved. And is stained a medium brown. The padding feels like a straw, only a guess. The floral needlepoint has a few small areas where it looks to me that they forgot to stitch some of the design. Nothing major. Please see photo's. RARE Antique VICTORIAN Era GOUT Footstool Foot Stool Rest 1800's Vintage Wooden
WOODENDECOR10 Presents A Victorian Era GOUT Footstool This item ships FREE FedEx Ground in the Continental U.S. This is an authentic Victorian Era GOUT footstool from the mid 1800's to the beginning of the 1900's. Its rare design was purposed for gentlemen with means as a way to relieve the pain of gout by lifting the foot at the ankle while not touching the foot. It is made of solid wood(I believe it to be walnut) With two handles on either end for easy positioning so as not to touch the foot, four carved wooden legs, and a straw padded tapestry or rug covered body. Here, this rust toned rug is edged with ornate trim and round tacks. I can not say whether it is the original rug or not though it certainly coincides with the time period. There is relatively minor wear on this piece for its age with some varnish wear, what looks like ... morelathe holes in the ends of the handles, some wear on the bottoms of the legs, and a superficial crack in the base that is not deep nor does it compromise the structure or stability of the footstool. Its as sturdy as ready to use today as it was over a hundred years ago. The rug is still in good shape, all tacks are present, and trim is in great condition. The footstool is a great historical piece for the collector with an interesting medical background. Similar pieces have sold for up to $250.00 in the past few months. It is approximately 12" high and the top is approximately 12" by 12" Under the outer flowered cover is a quilted cotton partial pad. Then a black, shiny/slick pad, and then, at one corner and along the edges, you can see underneath the black pad some brownish sort of like straw( stuff. 2. This stool has an oval top that is approximately 15" long and 9" at the widest part. From ground level to top of stool. It is approximately 7 1/4" high. There is some kind of material(padding? under the cover that is light brown-I think you can see it in the picture. 3. The top is painted with an American Bald Eagle but it appears that most of the paint has been wiped or peeled away. Though most of the wings and body shape are still there. I have a wonderful Victorian era foot stool made of all wood thread spools that have been cut in half and applied onto a wood frame and painted gold. The four feet are two larger thread spools attached to each other. The top looks to be original is a wonderful olive green crushed velvet. It is very sturdy and measures 14" square and is about 10" tall. A great example of folk/tramp art from this era. These were one-of-a-kind accents and are perfect for your cottage chic décor. Rare Vintage Industrial Steel Drafting Stool Machine Age Chair Antique Foot Rest
Here we have a great Machine Age industrial stool. This stool has a great look with two foot rests. One above the other. The stool seat adjusts as high as about 31 1/2 inches tall and as low as about 26 inches. The seat is about 14 inches in diameter and the lower foot rest is about 18 1/2 inches in diameter. As always this item can be picked up locally for free to save on the shipping cost. Awesome Old Estate Antique Vintage Shoe Shine Box Stand. Solid Oak With Cast Iron Foot Rest. Stool(or stand) measurements: 15 1/2" high, 14 1/4" deep, 14 1/4" wide. There is a faux cow patterned cloth on the padded top which appears to have been added in the 50s or 60s. The original padded top would most likely have been leather. Most screws, nails, etc. appear to be original. I doubt the underside hinges are original. Please see photo. The box is oak, quite heavy and well made. It is an older item, pre-owned and has been used. There are signs of age and use wear, including some dings, scratch, scuff. Overall solid piece in good estate condition. As mentioned. The piece is heavy- oak and cast iron. I've calculated shipping allowing for a sturdy box and careful, ample packing. If for any reason there is an overcharge amounting ... moreto a dollar or more, I'll promptly refund the overage. A word about the top pad. The cloth and foam beneath it aren't great. Made of solid brass and the surface of the legs is covered by a thick layer of dark patina and some dirt. Each leg is about 8 inches long. And the brass end is 2 ½ inches in diameter. One of the legs is missing a small piece on the top curving part. And the other two legs are complete and in good shape. There are some wears on the legs. But there is no dents. It is also possible that these are from the tips of the old wooden horse hames as some friends on Ebay suggested. I tend to believe these were on a table before because the tips on horse hames are typically iron and without the curving part above the round ball tips/ends. Antique Claw Foot Stool Unknown Maker This is a genuine antique item. And so has some signs of wear and tear. There are some scratches and minor discoloration to the wood, and there is patina to the metal portions. Glass balls in each claw foot are intact, and the seat still moves up and down easily. Nothing structural wrong with the stool. All of the minor blemishes could be easily restored, but also lend a look of authenticity to the piece. This is a beautiful piece. Made from a dark wood. Claws at each foot appear to be brass, and each is clutching a glass ball. Seat adjusts in height. No maker's mark or age, but has has been in current owner's family for roughly 75 years. ANTIQUE/VINTAGE/OLD CAST IRON(HEAVY!) FOOT STOOL W/ PANSIES TAPESTRY
It's a grand piece but I don't know exactly how old it is! It's an estate find of mine from years ago! It was a gold color& had a different fabric- When I had it covered with a piece of pink vintage pansy floral tapestry. I had purchased on a trip to Kansas City, MO. the upholster added the newer silver screws at the bottom( see pics) It is very heavy! weighing just a bit under 18 lbs! With careful padding/packing, the weight will be around 20 lbs so it will have to be sent via Fed Ex Ground to save u $ on the shipping. Selling it"as is" only cause the white paint is chipped in some areas& cause it's an oldie! Please ask all questions before bidding/buying- all my sales are final. Thank u~

L@K! Antique 2 Vintage Foot Stool Hand Made Stitched Old Footstool Ottoman NICE! Although we are not sure of age. We do know it is at least vintage, maybe older? It has all it's original parts, and original cardboard bottom which ia a very important indication of age, no tears or rips in the cardboard. Some signs of wear in the fabric fade a little, and in the legs, all minimal due to age. Its top is 13.5 inches wide and 8.5 inch height, very nice!

This is a beautiful stool. There are some knicks and scratches in the wood as expected from age and use. I do not see any holes in the needlepoint fabric. The underside is in very good condition as can be seen in the pictures. I did not find any markings on it so I do not know who or when it was made so I am not sure how old it is.
