One metal leg is slightly wiggly, the flathead screw needing to be tightened. The metal has a nice patina, and the glass balls are in good, crack free condition, but dusty/dirty with normal use scratches at bottoms. The wooden base is in good condition, again, dusty/dirty. At the top is a 4" diameter, rusty hardware piece for attaching the seat, with three screws, one is missing as there should be 4. Rare Antique 19th Century Piano Stool Patented in 1866 by J. Briggs of Peterboro NH Adjustable from 20" 24" Tall. 14" Diameter Seat. The seat has been recovered. But the paint and large paper label are original. There is a piece of the paper label missing and there is rubbing wear, but it is more than 80% intact, and very cool. The feet and base are cast iron and the stem is wood. Both the base and stem are grain-painted to match. The fabric and wood show some normal signs of age. No damage or repairs to the iron. Up for sale is a beautiful Victorian. Antique, late 19th century cast iron footstool. It features a gold painted, cast iron base that has 3 decorative legs, a tapestry fabric top in peach, blue, green, and cream colors, and an antique gold fringe trim. This is a really neat piece, it is farm fresh, so I leave it up to the buyers to clean, not wishing to cause any harm due to it's 130 year age, but it could use a gentle cleaning. There is some minor wear and tear, including some chipping of the paint on the base, and one small spot on the tapestry, and the fringe is very delicate and has some wear to it, but over all this piece is in fair to good condition. This lovely little foot/milking stool dates from Victorian times and has always been in my family. It is made entirely from elm and has turned legs. The grain. Patina and wear to the stool make it what it is today- a wonderful example of small stools from this era. The wood is worn smooth from use but the raised grain makes this a unusual and tactile piece of furniture. It stands 19cm high and the top measures 20.5cm x 18cm. 4 Wooden 4-1/2 Inch legs from antique Victorian stool, 1800s, hard wood, walnut?
These 4 turned legs were salvaged from a Victorian stool that was broken. They are 4-1/2" not counting the metal slider at the bottom and the screw at the top. I don't think they are walnut because the grain seems more open than walnut. But I'm not sure what wood they are.

Ebony Wooden stem with three iron scroll legs with ornate bird/falcon's head at top which gives it a chinoiserie feel. Black painted. From bottom of wood where I believe the lathe was, the black looks original, but may have been touched up over the years. Seat has a unique shape with needlepoint seat cover. From underneath there are other tack holes-may not be original, not sure. Original seat cover may be underneath. There is a visible crack with glued repairs on bottom of wooden seat. Shabby Antique Cast Iron Burl Wood Victorian Brothel Fringed Velvet Piano Stool
Would have looked great in Miss Kitty's saloon or upstairs where those girls entertained! Original cast iron legs and what looks like a carved burl wood base adjustable stool with a powdery sea-green blue velvet seat& long strands of twisted satiny fringe. It extends to roughly 24" high but has some"give" gets a little"wobbly" when fully extended. it adjusts down to a height of about 19" The top has a bit of"give" but seems fine for use; otherwise. It has no damage. some very light spots on the seat but not overwhelming. The feet are about 14-1/2" apart and the seat top is about 13-1/2" in diameter.

Cast iron stool appears to have its original dark green paint with black and gold highlights(see photos) The design of the cast iron work appears to have some Eastlake pierced open work grill design. In addition to the ornate Victorian drape effect of oak leaves and the scrollwork feet, and the flowing/swirling Art Nouveau oak leaf and vine designs. Appears to have original pine or soft wood cover top. With is covered with the original straw– the straw covered with remnants of original jute material. The jute is covered with a 1930s era cloth material. And covering this ... morematerial is a worn dark forest green velvet. The wood stool top is easily recoverable if new owner should so desire. Victorian Style Wooden Pedestal with 4 Legs for a Stool or Small Table
For your consideration is a vintage pedestal for a stool or small table; the way my camera flash in picture No. 9. I am thinking it is probably to a stool for a piano or organ. Each leg has five grooves in it that run the entre distance of the leg. It was very dirty when I purchased it. I cleaned and cleaned and could not see enough of the wood to determine what kind of wood it is made of, I finally used a small amount of varnish remover on it(I was amazed at how easily the thick varnish came off) and determined it was pine. It is 14 3/8" tall. Measuring from the furthest outside point of a leg to the furthest outside point of the opposite leg is 17 1/2" It is much less than perfect; it is old and has been used. That being said: Other than the crack; the wood is solid and would cleanup nicely. It does need refinished. Starting at ... morethe top and running down the side for 2 1/2" is a crack. Also there are some minor chips. All damage shows in at least one picture. Please carefully examine the pictures; as the pictures are part of the description.
